Well, they’re dumbing down our universities, so why not dumb down the school of hard knocks also?

Precisely why “the Nanny state” is so appropriate. We are MATERNALIZING our population.

My Okie grandpa (who made good in California back in the depression) used to talk derisively about the “sugar tit”, which was a rag with a little sugar wrapped in it that would pacify a fussy kid. Seems to be all the rage now.
