A test for Denver International Airport

By Michelle Malkin  •  June 25, 2009 11:38 AM

I mentioned the other day that far Left ground troops from “Progressive Future,” funded by left-wing billionaire Peter Lewis, were petitioning travelers at Denver International Airport with anti-Fox and anti-Rush Limbaugh literature in support of Obamacare.

Denver Post columnist David Harsanyi asks some good questions:

…I was just wondering, if young people who wanted to collect signatures to, say, push for the repeal of Roe v. Wade asked, would they be welcome at DIA?

How about young people who advocate for bold new free-market solutions to help get us out of Obama’s fiscal mess?

How about young people who want to “educate” the public about Governor Bill Ritter’s disastrous “new energy economy”?

Or how about some kids just getting involved and gathering signatures to stop socialized, rationed, government-controlled medicine?

Some group should test out how open-minded and inclusive DIA is on the issue of petitioners. Surely, there would be no ideological discrimination.

A challenge for Tea Party people!

My friends at the Colorado-based Independence Institute have produced an excellent video on Obamacare. Maybe they should ask Denver airport officials for permission to set up TV screens and broadcast the video next to the Obamacare ground troops:

I have a bigger problem with DIA than pamphlets. Security. When I was there a year and a half ago, it bothered me. They had one big security check point that forces all passengers to snake back and forth in one big massive, tight crowd. A terrorist could take out more passengers than actually bringing down an airplane, and this is before you go through security.

For passenger convenience, I give DIA a D-. (Of course, I’m spoiled by Ontario and Albuquerque.)

tre, they want a permanent class division which is something that socialism offered. Those in the party were well off and everyone else got shafted. They want a cheap labor force.

Michelle, the fact that these progressives were well funded will put young TEA activists at a huge disadvantage. If I was home from school for the summer, I would get a paying job to be able to afford a few items afterwards. This will be the mindset of most young people. Now if you can get conservative minded people to join this workforce, get paid and hand out our literature….that would be something.

Sometimes your system can get clogged with cookies and cause errors. Try deleting them. If you are using Vista, I have more tips.

My system got so bad, I couldn’t use my printer due to script errors. I discovered two things.

1- There is a feature called System Restore that will take your system back to a previous date. In my case, I couldn’t use it due to errors.

2- There is a feature called Image Restore. Your hard drive has a permanent copy of itself when it was new. You can use this to make your computer “brand new”. You will lose any files you have added since, applications, favorites, etc. This is what I ended up doing. I didn’t have a lot on my computer that I couldn’t fairly easily reinstall, so I didn’t mind too much.

    Hope this helps, spacey.

    Possibile reasons include:

    1) As folks have said, guilt.

    2) It appears that their having bunches of money, and not having to actually work for a living, gives them the impression that they are so damned much smarter than everyone else…that they are the anointed ones.

    3) They’ve got theirs…and screw everyone else.

The question raised about why are the rich frequently lefties is answered in Eric Voegelin’s “Science, Politics, and Gnosticism,” where he details how totalitarian movements are characterized by a core of “entitled” people that don’t have to abide by the rules of the commoners.

And of course these folks will be part of that. Socialized medicine…no problem; they can pay for special services out of pocket, or if things get real strict (like in Cuba)they’ll have access to the “special” hospitals reserved for the special class.

Humans are an essentially flawed species, and but for the existence of a true democracy and balance of powers, they will quickly devolve into thuggery.

Successful people sometimes want to limit competition from cutting into their market share.

After a business becomes successful, it often gets “fat and lazy”, not producing the goods and services as well as a “leaner and meaner” new business might.

Socialism eliminates this threat. So the lefties that are barking at the moon about evil corporations, are actually doing the work of some of the same corporations that they’re smearing.

For those of you having issues with Microsoft’s Vista OS, I have a cure- it’s called Linux. I worked in IT (until I got laid off) and have several PC’s networked with file and printer sharing, only one of which even runs windows, even my laptop is running Linux, and it runs great on older hardware too if you use something like ‘Puppy Linux’.

And the best thing, any Linux distro is free, as in speech and beer :) . You just download, burn and install. Most let you run from a Live CD so you can try out Linux without touching your hard drive.

I build web sites, design logos and do PC repairs to make ends meet until I find another gig and I do it all on Linux.

    “cheapseat,”

I know that the left, including mouthpieces like Bill Maher, Keith Olberman, Janeane Garofalo, Jane Madow, Huffington, and so many others, falsely deny it, and claim that conservatives fabricate, that conservative voices are not really discriminated against in greater numbers by leftists and by government than leftists. (Oh, I know, leftists have a very poor vocabulary and are terrible communicators, which is why they often use expletives and foul language when speaking and “writing.” Many leftists wouldn’t use such words as “fabricate” because they have the education of a first grade public schooler.)

Nevertheless, what you say has been demonstrated ad nauseum.
