It has been a wild day on the House floor. GOP leader John Boehner is going to read the entire 300-page late-night manager’s amendment into the record. Good to see some fight left in the GOP. This is must see TV.
Update: Well, the “filibuster” was a mini-filibuster. Boehner should have read entire bill. Then read entire suppressed Carlin EPA report. We are headed to vote on final passage…

Passing President Obama’s “cap and trade” energy program would cost the average Oklahoma family $3,200 a year, Sen. Jim Inhofe said Friday, but he’s confident the measure will be killed in the Senate no matter what happens in the House of Representatives.
The Tulsa Republican, a longtime critic of what he considers “this hoax called global warming,” made his latest statements during a morning stop in Shawnee while House members in Washington were preparing to vote on the controversial issue.
“Between the years of 1998 and 2005, I was the only member of the United States Senate who would take on what I call ‘the Hollywood elitists’ and the United Nations on this hoax called global warming and I went through seven years of purgatory on that issue.
“But now I’ve been redeemed and the vast majority of the scientific community has now said Inhofe’s right and the United Nations is wrong and those individuals … have now said ‘no, the science is not there and these are natural cycles.”

some of these 44 dems that voted against this bill did so to keep their cushy jobs there was no patriotic move on their part. Some voted against it because it wasn’t strong enough to save the planet, like my congressman DeFazio in Oregon. He voted no on the stimulus bill because the proposed tax increase wasn’t enough…try die hard lefty. Sometimes these people are a Juan McShame from the other side of the aisle…not done thinking of America, trust me on that one.

I remember when I was younger(much), it was sorta of joke or comment in jest “two things you don’t talk about are religion and politics”…to many have taken that to heart.

My two Senators are also Inhoff and Coburn. They will be fighting this for sure. Inhoff hates the global warming crowd already.
My representative is Boren a dem He said he was 100 per cent against it. Probably because he’s in an “at risk” area.
So what can we do to get this rolled back or repealed before then?

BUT both AZ Dimocrap Congresspeople Gabrielle Giffords and Raul Grijalva’s “YES” votes would have turned the tide. The are both from Tucson, Giffords is my Rep. I called both until my fingers bled–never did get through. Can’t believe that the illegals in their districts were all that interested in Cap and Trade so I have to believe that they took their phones off the hook so they wouldn’t have to “hear us”. THEY are the two that caused this debacle and I intend to be all over them from now until they are out of office 2010.

I was at some Jesse Kelly events today in Tucson, AZ. He had the Honorable Duncan Hunter campaigning and fundraising w/ him. Also, he has ads running on the Drudge Report in all 50 states.
Former Marine combat veteran and some conservative endorsements piling up. Looks like he is the guy to knock Giffords onto an unemployment line.

This reminds me of the Video where Saddam Hussein (the one is Iraq, not the Beltway) is purging the Baath Party. As his Security Services are leading men away to be killed the remaining Baathist are screaming support for Saddam Hussein (the one is Iraq, not the Beltway), tears in their eyes hoping they will not be next.
