While the House had a moment of silence for Michael Jackson, there was nothing said for Chicago. There were 108 shootings in Chicago in the week Jun 18-26, 2009, with 7 murders. And this is where the city government is trying to get the Olympics. Seems their priorities might need adjusting. ECS

Because they don’t know what is in the bill, they should be prohibited from amending it. A bill should be for one purpose, and short enough to understand. Require an oral comprehension test before being allowed to amend. Preferably with cameras running.
