While the House had a moment of silence for Michael Jackson, there was nothing said for Chicago.

There were 108 shootings in Chicago in the week Jun 18-26, 2009, with 7 murders. And this is where the city government is trying to get the Olympics. Seems their priorities might need adjusting.

Because they don't know what is in the bill, they should be prohibited from amending it. A bill should be for one purpose, and short enough to understand. Require an oral comprehension test before being allowed to amend. Preferably with cameras running.

Too pretty and too white.

Chemically lightened skin, radical plastic surgery, it seems MJ was trying to make himself pretty and white. Didn't work.

Ya, I believe that one......not.

American Pop Culture = American Culture. Culture = religion externalized.
“We are obliged… to make amusement a weapon of collective education. The cinema competes with the church. This rivalry may become fatal for the church. The cinema liberates you from the need of crossing the church door. Here is an instrument we must secure at all costs.” ~ Severneya Pravda
“This weapon [cinema], which cries out to be used, is the best instrument for political propaganda, which cuts into the memory and may be made a possible source of revenue.” ~ Leon Trotsky
