Rewatched "300" over the weekend. That movie is not for everyone, but I find it a stress reliever.

"Spartans, lay down your weapons."

Shhhhhh CHUNK!

"Persians, come and get them."

And now, from my blog bases:

Natan Sharansky, whom you might know as the author of such books as the Case for Democracy, has been elected chairman of the Jewish Agency.

The Teen Titans are about to endure more gratuitous nightmares, as will anyone else unfortunate enough to waste their time and money on a DC comic with Dan DiDio as editor-in-chief.

And here's an 8-part video of a playthrough of Ninja Baseball Bat-Man! Batter up! :)

I wouldn’t leave the PC crowd out of it, AZ. You gotta have somebody to take out on a good hunt for snipe. It’s not like the have to kill anything, they just catch the live snipe in a sturdy burlap sack.
That has been awhile-must do!

Jvette #127

If you catch this, Katadyn makes a great hiker's filter for around $70. It will purify 200 gal. per filter. (buy replacements)

I bought mine at Academy.

p.s. We're placing our beans & rice in vacuum sealed bags, then in 5 gal. buckets for long term storage. (Unless we need them sooner.)

I just heard a rumor that the Jackson family is going to ask President Obama for a "Michael Jackson" bailout.

They want taxpayers to pay off his estimated $500 million debt.

This would be totally illegal in my opinion. Anyone else heard this?

If everything happens in threes, the first three were David Carradine, Ed McMahon, and Farrah Fawcett. Micheal Jackson is number one of the second group of three. Billy Mays is number two. Who will be the third? I know a few I would like to see in that slot, but I won’t say who! Don’t want to get kicked out of here!!

Walter Cronkite is not doing well.

Before Michael Jackson died, I asked my Mom the same thing (forgetting about David Carradine). We thought Patrick Swayze was going to be next.

We'll see. But they do come in threes.

Yeah, it reminds me of the opening scene in Woody Allen's "Bananas". Horward Cosell is doing the "play by play" of one tin-horn dictator-in-waiting having the current tin-horn dictator offed.

If it's a coup south of the border, it must be Sunday.

I have been following the DUmmies reaction to the coup in Honduras. Pretty funny. Lot's of "Something needs to be done!" comments, etc. Torn between their love of leftist leaders and their hatred of the US actually doing anything. LOL! They are also stymied trying to figure out if there was actually any support for the ousted el Presidente'. And they are trying to studiously ignore the fact that el President' wanted to institute constitutional changes to extend his time in office. My own view? Yaaaaaawn, it's central America, it's like the national pastime.
