Minnesota has a system of “same day registration,” where you can show up, register, and vote on the spot. All you need is a school ID or even a utility bill or rental receipt, which are easy to fake (not that anyone will be checking). It’s a system ripe for abuse. It’s only too easy for out-of-state college students or a couple busloads of ACORN voters from Chicago to be parachuted into marginal precincts to up the vote for the Demonrats.

They wouldn’t allow us to get our passport that way and just hop on a plane the same day, why should voter registration be any different?

You claimed that same day voting entailed simply having a utility bill or a student ID, both of which were demonstrably false, if you had taken five seconds, as I did to actually look at the requirements.

I made no other argument as to any other provisions of MN’s same day registration requirements. Don’t pretend I did, and then attack the false argument ascribed to me (strawman) to draw attention away from your own incorrect assumptions.

- A voter registered in the same precinct as you who can confirm your address with a signed oath
- An employee of the residential facility where you live who can confirm your address with a signed oath
