Obama will tag anything onto past civil rights workers, because he has no American civil rights experience. Reading about it, or studying at the knee of your mother is far different than living it. A personal view of that movement escapes him but is convenient to usurp and use for his own purpose. Shame on him. Shame on those that allow him to get away with it.

I love how blacks consistently revise history. How many times do they need to hear that Lincoln is on the record saying that he would gladly throw the every slave under the bus (back then it would have been “locomotive”) to preserve the Union.
The Civil War was about power. Lincoln refused to accept the loss of the South, and was willing to shed a LOT of blood to keep that power.

The Senate is not the House, and the political and procedural dynamics are very different now.
The House passage of this economy-killer exercise in voodoo science was a heart-breaker. It sure affected me that way.
But the Senate is unlikely to pass that mystery pile of (what Bohner said).

While I think I would have liked Abraham Lincoln personally, I do not hold him out to be the hero that many do. In fact, in some cases with regards to the centralization of federal power, I can see some resemblance between him and the Big 0. The major difference seems to be that Abraham Lincoln actually did love his Nation and believed in fighting to save what he held precious and dear. Abraham Lincoln had values and the audacity of our leader is that he is not only unwilling to fight, but all too willing to submit to pre-conceived notions about our nation and his reactions reflect that all too clearly much to the detriment of what is left of our nation.
Just my two cents though I imagine this one will generate some hate coming my way.
I agree. Plus, Lincoln was a ’saved’ man, which I have serious doubts about Obama. His religious convictions are of pure political purposes.

Stuff like this is why I was posting at other blogs, before I even became aware that Rush Limbaugh had similar suspicions, that his delusions of grandeur and sense of entitlement will demand he find a way around the 22nd Amendment.
Whether that be by Michelle O running in 2016, or Obama seeking the nomination, and a SCOTUS decision that will go Obama’s way if he replaces any one of Kennedy, Roberts, Thomas, Scalia or Alito holding the 22nd Amendment as unconstitutional (I don’t think he has time to overcome the requirement of a super majority of the states required for an actual amendment over turning the 22nd), I seriously suspect, one way or the other, we’ll have a President Obama in 2017 if we have one in 2013.
BTW, I am fully aware, on its face, SCOTUS ruling on a Constitutional amendment is laughable, but we already have seen the California Supremes rule on whether or not a constitutional amendment was constitutional…

BTW, the ACORN/Rahm-bo 2010 census will be used to reapportion the House of Representatives (and the Electoral College) for the 2012 elections.
Add on 30 million or so grateful former illegals granted amnesty, and same day registration/voting, and the fact that probably something close to 90% of the Black population will again vote for him, Obama can be trailing by a fair amount among actual current US citizens who pay taxes and only vote once, and still easily win in 2012.
Remember the lesson of Franken and Gregoire and the special NY election, if it is close, the Demoncrats will steal it.

If you can grow it where you live, I would recommend Timothy as opposed to hay. Still nasty when it is wet but much healthier. Mind you, it will have the same reaction on your livestock as oats will, raising their body temperatures and such but great feed.

Exactly. The man is a shoo-in no matter what. I’m telling you from his grass roots too. Conservatives must concentrate on 2016 NOT 2012. Anything else is a waste of hope and effort. We should be beading bullets on these energy and immigration bills, both which most severely impact jobs here. Immigration is a trans-cultural time bomb too many ignore (our very national and cultural identity is at stake here!). It amazes me how with with a single stroke we can slice the eneergy problem with offshore drilling, but just a few crafty TV pictures of a few damn oily birds can stop it and make pols run for the high grass! Obama is dangerous beyond compare because he aims to hook the population into nanny-care programs which are impossible to reverse and opens the door to resigned acceptance of “green at any expense” programs as well. We must stop these programs first, NOT try to futilely crave the White House in 2012.

Let those who vote “Aye” be placed in a position to be pounded mercilessly by their opponent next election.

The Constitution calls for the Bureau of the Census, Federal Employees, to be the custodians, guardians of the Census data. The President of the United States has directed these objective Federal Employees to turn the information over to the White House.
The White House is filled with …. political appointees. And what is their motivation to have that data? What if Nixon had directed this in 1970?

I let them know if these senators vote for this legislation, not only will I never vote for them again, I will actively campaign AGAINST THEM and vote FOR anyone who opposes them… even if it’s a dem.

Olympia Snowe is registered as a Republican because her dead husband, whose Maine state senate seat she inherited before running for the US Senate, was a Republican.
Lincoln Chaffee was a registered Republican because his father, the former senator, was Republican. Chaffee switched affiliations as soon as he lost his Senate seat, and admitted he had been a Democrat for a while, but thought he could “alter” the Republican agenda by his committee positions when the Republicans were the majority party in the Senate.
I wish the GOP leadership would discipline RINOs, and expel obvious Democrat plants, like Snowe and Collins, the way the Dems brook no dissent in their party.
Joe Lieberman would be out of the Dem caucus right now except Specter hadn’t flipped yet and Franken hadn’t yet stolen the seat Coleman won, and Reid thought they might need him to break the filibuster, all for the terrible crime of supporting a US victory in Iraq.

This is a major sticking point with judicial review. How can a court declare a portion of the very document from which it derives its power (the constitution), unconstitutional?
It can’t. If they can, then the court can declare unconstitutional the very section limiting its own power. In which case, the court becomes an oligarchy.
