GoDaddy.com celebrates America

GoDaddy.com, the domain registration giant, was founded by tech entrepreneur and decorated Vietnam veteran Bob Parsons.
The company pays tribute to Independence Day with a wonderful video celebration here. Isn’t it nice to see an Internet company embrace American patriotism?
More about Parsons here.

So far, neither bing or Ask have any such skin.
Maybe tomorrow (but I seriously doubt it for bing)?
If possible, Michelle, please pass along my thanks to Mr. Parsons for his several acts of service to our country.
Thank You GoDaddy that was great.
I’m proud to be an American, I am not proud of my government.
When is enough, enough?
That put the wind back in my sails.
Thank you BP and MM.
Google will have something like a bunny and bear cooking tofu hot dogs at a picnic.
Beautiful. But dang, I cannot listen to the National Anthem anywhere, anytime or in any setting anymore, without tearing up.
Parsons is a great American. Thanks for sharing MM.
In other news … ONLY 40 out of 1100 Arizona high school students passed the citizenship test. Unbelievable.
If you are a parent, please teach your children US History! God bless America and God help our public school system.
Very nice though I was half-expecting the GoDaddy Girl to pop up at any moment.
In all fairness and at the risk of getting busted for playing some while I am working, Bing did have some of their games dressed up in Red, White and Blue. It’s not much but …
Just saying …
I just called GoDaddy to thank them for the video. They hadn’t seen it yet.
Go Daddy has great support. I have registered many domains with them.
More reason to continue using their services.
Outstanding. You know where to go.
Isn’t this the company that has those busty super bowl ads ?
I’ve been using, and recommending to all my web design clients, GoDaddy for years. All the more reason to continue!
Thank you Mr. Parsons.
That’s why we use them for all our corporate domain registrations.
Great tribute!
The photos are stunning. GoDaddy!
Thank You GoDaddy… God Bless
3 words…
SAFE * FOR * WORK
Very nicely done. Thanks, GoDaddy.
GoDaddy has been celebrating Patriotism for many years. They have made the same kind of tribute for other Fourth of Julys as well as in celebration of the Marines Birthday and tributes to the military.
God bless Bob Parsons. These tributes have touched and motivated me for some time.
Only if it’s halal and been pre-approved by CAIR.
thanks mm, beautiful work godaddy and thanks for the thoughts.
I had the opportunity to get the nickel tour of Bob Parsons former company by Mr. Parsons. The entire time there was something about his style with his employees that was familiar that I just could not put my finger on.
After the mini-tour, my friend who arranged it asked, “Did Bob show you his medals?” As Mr. Parsons had said nothing about anything military it was only then I learned about his service.
I just chuckled, because what was so familiar that I did not recognize was like a good leader, as he gave the tour, he also was checking on the welfare of his (Marines) employees. He has good business skills, but he is a combat Marine to his core, a superlative leader, and a Patriot.
I’ve always loved GODADDY! for a COUPLE of reasons…
Great vid and good job GD.That is interesting that a Vietnam vet started the company good on him!
Now a bit OT:
Now if they would only dump that looser Danica Patrick. About the only thing she does even half way decent is try to be sexy.
She sure as heck can’t drive an Indy car worth a darned. Basically a field filler. Talk is she is going to NASCAR that should be even better HAHA…..
Rant off back on topic.
Good to know. I have gotten in trouble watching their video before.
Good one ! right4life.
That almost makes up for the borderline-softcore-porn commercials and general fly-by-night feel of the whole company.
Personally, I prefer to do my business (and take my domain registrations) to more, er, professional companies…
This is awesome. I am a web designer and always set up my clientele with GoDaddy, mainly because they are so easy to use, affordable, and have phenomenal customer service! Their patriotism is icing on the cake!
So, does this make up from the porno commercials?
Thank You Ms Malkin and Thank You GoDaddy
I use dogpile.com as a search engine for the same reason. They are not afraid to be patriotic and they beat google six ways to Sunday
Arfie, the dogpile mascot, often wears patriotic color to celebrate patriotic events. Dogpile also supports animal rescue.
Why have your internet searches support the liberal agenda, when you can use a search engine that is not afraid to be patriotic and support animal search and rescue at the same time.
I am not affilitated in any way with dogpile. I simply think they are better and want to share that info with others.
Have a great day everyone
Martina McBride singing “God Bless America”
This one really does reach me.
and of course Yankee Doodle
All I have heard about GoDaddy are their shady business practices in which they take domains from from people and are a general pain. Not cool. Check out nodaddy.com
Wow, Michelle, someone really got taken in by one of the oldest marketing tactics in corporate advertising history: patriotism. Many companies use this blatantly, and you fell for it. Both CBS and PBS are having Independence Day fireworks shows tonight. Does this mean that you now think they are patriotic b/c of their once a year patriotism? The fact is that GoDaddy, with it’s semi-porn ads/lewd garbage on the Superbowl and elsewhere, is NOT a good American corporate citizen 364 other days out of the year. Did you somehow miss that? That’s the opposite of patriotism. Interesting that you’d embrace this schlocky, low-life company, when you constantly decry lewd marketing of the GoDaddy nature when other companies employ it. Be consistent for a change.
See Google, it’s not hard. On another note, If GoDaddy wants to air their Superbowl commercials and do this I don’t care.
If they want to use the freedoms available in the United States to air commercials that will get people to give them money in exchange for goods and services (AKA Capitalism) and celebrate the greatness and freedoms available to all Citizens I say good for them for not bowing to the PC crowd.
I don’t do business with GoDaddy.com because I have three daughters. Still, it is nice to know that not every tech company in America hates America.
I frequently find myself in agreement with Debbie Schlussel but her unnecessarily nasty note to Michelle is one of the reasons I visit Debbie’s site several times a year. Envy is an ugly emotion.
