GoDaddy.com celebrates America

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 3, 2009 01:01 PM

GoDaddy.com, the domain registration giant, was founded by tech entrepreneur and decorated Vietnam veteran Bob Parsons.

The company pays tribute to Independence Day with a wonderful video celebration here. Isn’t it nice to see an Internet company embrace American patriotism?

More about Parsons here.

GoDaddy has been celebrating Patriotism for many years. They have made the same kind of tribute for other Fourth of Julys as well as in celebration of the Marines Birthday and tributes to the military.
God bless Bob Parsons. These tributes have touched and motivated me for some time.

I had the opportunity to get the nickel tour of Bob Parsons former company by Mr. Parsons. The entire time there was something about his style with his employees that was familiar that I just could not put my finger on.

After the mini-tour, my friend who arranged it asked, “Did Bob show you his medals?” As Mr. Parsons had said nothing about anything military it was only then I learned about his service.

I just chuckled, because what was so familiar that I did not recognize was like a good leader, as he gave the tour, he also was checking on the welfare of his (Marines) employees. He has good business skills, but he is a combat Marine to his core, a superlative leader, and a Patriot.

She sure as heck can’t drive an Indy car worth a darned. Basically a field filler. Talk is she is going to NASCAR that should be even better HAHA…..

Thank You Ms Malkin and Thank You GoDaddy :-)

I use dogpile.com as a search engine for the same reason. They are not afraid to be patriotic and they beat google six ways to Sunday :-)

Arfie, the dogpile mascot, often wears patriotic color to celebrate patriotic events. Dogpile also supports animal rescue.

Why have your internet searches support the liberal agenda, when you can use a search engine that is not afraid to be patriotic and support animal search and rescue at the same time.

I am not affilitated in any way with dogpile. I simply think they are better and want to share that info with others.

Have a great day everyone :-)

Wow, Michelle, someone really got taken in by one of the oldest marketing tactics in corporate advertising history: patriotism. Many companies use this blatantly, and you fell for it. Both CBS and PBS are having Independence Day fireworks shows tonight. Does this mean that you now think they are patriotic b/c of their once a year patriotism? The fact is that GoDaddy, with it’s semi-porn ads/lewd garbage on the Superbowl and elsewhere, is NOT a good American corporate citizen 364 other days out of the year. Did you somehow miss that? That’s the opposite of patriotism. Interesting that you’d embrace this schlocky, low-life company, when you constantly decry lewd marketing of the GoDaddy nature when other companies employ it. Be consistent for a change.

See Google, it’s not hard. On another note, If GoDaddy wants to air their Superbowl commercials and do this I don’t care.

If they want to use the freedoms available in the United States to air commercials that will get people to give them money in exchange for goods and services (AKA Capitalism) and celebrate the greatness and freedoms available to all Citizens I say good for them for not bowing to the PC crowd.
