African journalist makes CNN Obama cheerleader look really, really stupid

For a Monday morning snort-starter, check out the video via Newsbusters of African journalist Nkepile Mabuse fact-checking anchor Don Lemon over the weekend. Aptly named. Lemon certainly looked like he had swallowed something sour after Mabuse rejected his obsequious suggestion that President Obama’s warm welcome was somehow “unprecedented.”
Golden moment:
Mabuse: “It’s not unprecedented. When President Bush was here, you will remember, in February, there were people who were drumming, there were dances, and President Bush joined some of them.”
At least Lemon had the restraint not to mention Obama’s “SWAGGA.”

Oops. I have a feeling that Mabuse won’t be on CNN anymore. She should have known that whatever Obama does is “unprecedented”. I’m sure there where a lot of frowns at CNN, and, especially, from Lemon, once the camera was off him.
So refreshing! Why can’t we see reporting like this every day…straight-up honesty unfiltered by political agendas?
I love it! He looks like he swallowed a bug!
Wow, great job Nkepile! More proof that CNN’s Obama cheerleaders need to take remedial classes in objective journalism.
Knucklehead reporting at its finest. That follow up comment was nothing more than a sarcastic slap at the woman.
Tool.
Yikes – - Lemon started back when she disagreed with his slobbering comment and his eyes began blinking so fast that I’m sure it was Morse code to the cameramen to cut this non-worshiper off – - quick!!!
M….Abuse him. Sweet.
That was great, he obviously was sure she was going to agree that Obama was God, his reaction when she didn’t was priceless. The mention of President Bush was perfect.
CNN? Are they still in business? Who watches CNN? CNN, that’s funny.
I think that Lemon recovered well. Lemon said that if they danced for Bush, then they must dance for any foreign leader [no matter how evil he is] lol
http://garyganu.blogspot.com
That CNN jerk has been an Obama shill since the first day of his employment at that left wing electronic rag. Good job lady.
She tells the truth. Bush was generally respected by world leaders (except for shoe-throwing, liberal, thankless journalists) everywhere he went.
Obama, on the other hand, worries world leaders, while at the same time causing some to pause and re-arm.
Lemon made sure to emphasize that they give that welcome for everyone – that it’s standard practice. Can’t have it look like Bush is just as “revered” as Obama.
I think you know why. Journalists decided a long time ago that simply reporting facts was too banal. Every J-School graduate thinks they’re on a mission to “change the world,” and you don’t change the world with facts and honesty. Facts and honesty are what the world already is. Changing the world requires propaganda, and getting the masses to buy into the propaganda.
She must have not gotten the memo. Obama was the the first black president to visit Afrca. It was also the first time Africa had an opportunity to welcome a black American president. Also the first black president to address the Ghana parliament. How could she have missed the historical significance of these momentous, earth shaking events by comparing them with a mere visit by the universally despised George Bush?
It was nice of the cameraman to cut away from Mr. Lemon as he started to cry when the African reporter suggested that the welcome wasn’t “unprecedented.”
When Lemon was asking about the welcome for Obama his eyes looked so dreamy and so full of love. As soon as Mabuse answered in the way he didn’t want and wasn’t expecting his eyes looked so sad and disappointed as he adjusted himself in his seat. I love how quickly the shot went to a single of Mabuse. He he he he.
And to further add insult to injury, she’s a black…African…woman who did not bow down and worship.
What a riot! I think his tone was condescending to her right from the start of the clip.
It’s amazing how the Obots simply can’t comprehend what’s happening when someone whom they thought was one of their pander-clients actually seems to think on their own.
The “fish tank” media is looking more and more like a fish bowl with a lone gold fish swimming around in it.
Prez. Odopey jus ain’t representin. Fo Shizzle yo.
I look forward to the leftist “explanation” that Lemon was just looking at his shoes, or helping a young woman down the stairs when his face appears to be falling.
Bush got just as warm a welcome as Obama? Blasphemy!
Here, I think you dropped something, allow me to hand you your a$$…..
Hey, Mr. Lemon, I have a question for you. What’s the capital of the African country of Liberia? Answer, Monrovia, in honor the our 5th President, James Monroe.
So, I really don’t think Duh Ones welcome is “unprecedented”, since there’s no African city named for him.
You can bet Ghana is “off” Obama’s must-visit list in the future. Not nearly enough bowing, scraping, yelling, and worshipping of him. Obama should just go back to the South Side of Chicago for that, the part of America where the natives are ALWAYS worshipful.
HopeyChango City
Yep, HopeyChango City…the city of mud huts and cardboard roofs. Coming to an American city near you.
I guess they haven’t heard how clean and articulate he is.
You know, the job market is pretty bad in Africa, so they may be bitter and clinging to their Bibles and guns.
The MSM hasn’t been doing journalism since cable TV started reporting news 24/7.
I am by no means a Huge Bush Cheerleader, but President Bush did 1000 times more for Africa, than any other person ever dreamed of…
..he was spear heading with lots of $$$$ backing him up, massive AIDS relief (With many other countries) and fighting malaria in that country….and last I checked, they didn’t have Oil either. So Those left wing dippys…can just shut up about how Bush’s foreign policy was only centered around Oil, Halliburton..etc..
Check out the fourth paragraph in this article.
Great example of paid journalism and a Journalist!
So real Africans are not as racist as black Americans. Sweet!
Opps.
ok, that’s racist
Hmm…I thought I could hear the shrill farting sounds of air being expelled from a balloon in the CNN studio when she said it wasn’t unprecedented.
no one is as racist as northern liberal city blacks. martin luther king jr. was a man trying to end white racism, and espoused judge me by the content of my character, not the color of my skin. jesse and al say if whitey doesn’t give me his money in reparations, he’s racist. a hell of a difference.
Notice how Lemon had to throw in the question at the end how this is how all people are greeted this way as it is an African customary greeting. He did not want Bush to be viewed in the same light that he views Obama, so he tried to marginalize his own story as an everyday occurance…LOL
The difference being when Bush was so honored, and good naturedly participated with the welcome, he was ridiculed in the MSM and by late night culture czars as a humiliating caracature. The local culture found it endearing and were honored at the gesture.
CNN-Lemon: Witness our Dear Leader. Is he not awesome?
Ghana-Mabuse: No
Obama will have the journalist fired today!
Lemon looks like he just saw somebody stick a pin in his inflatable Obama doll. Awesome!
ha ha ha. Good way to start the week.
Thanks.
It’s sad that we have to expect so little from journalists in this country. It’s hard to stay informed about the events of the day when you have to read 5 versions of a story b/c you assume the journalists are dishonest and mentally lazy.
AHHHHHHH, MS MABUSE, a breath of fresh air… JOURNALISM is still alive in some parts of the WORLD… Sit up US MSM, this is how it should be done… Thank you MS MABUSE!!!
Facts have a tendency to smack you right in the face sometimes.
Maybe he could sopt by the courthouse, while he’s there and get a certified copy of his birth certificate.
it seems that lemon is easily impressed by so little, he tried the cheeleader mode and was set straight by someone in the know. zero is and always will be propped up by liberals, not doing so, zero’s house of make believe would fall apart.
She is a typical African, she does not get that in America racism is a moneymaker, she sees people, no matter what color their skin is. He is a typical liberal, he believes himself to be wordly, and is not, but if you do not toe the line to his “worldliness” then he is going to put you down. In other words, you stupid Africans, you guys will dance for anything. Imagine if a white journalist had said that on Fox. Huff & Puff’s nickers would be so knotted right now, they would not know where to begin.
I know the name and I know the accent–She is South African.
Now; knowing what that country has gone through itself, and handled pretty well compared to the rest of the continent, doesn’t that make her comments all the more amazing to people?
It sure seemed so to Lemon. What an ass to think all Africans will automatically feel all warm and fuzzy when Obama farts.
CNN: “This just in…President Obama today broke wind in an unprecedented fashion. Reports are the First Gas was odorless and actually, quite pleasant to smell”
This just in…
CNN Reporter Nkepile Mabuse has been reassigned to the Antarctic
As I understand, many African countries have a long history of black presidents.
The Dummybutt forgot that George Bush didn’t just promise, he really did do a lot for Africa.
Obama just doesn’t want to meddle.
Oh, how I wish YouTube wasn’t blocked at work. I’d love to see this guy squirm.
Thank you, Ms. Mabuse. Nice to know journalism isn’t dead everywhere.
I wish Bill O’Reilly would feature this clip on his “Body Language” segment.
Lemon is just one of the reasons CNN is in such a deep hole.
Don Lemon was visibly startled by her response. It is shocking for some Americans to hear Africans not joining them in saying The One is special. How could they, of all people, not agree with them? (sarcasm button OFF)
Or before that: Saint Edward R. Marrow, Father Walter Cronkite and the Huntley-Brinkley duo were shills for Leftist Bull Pucky way back when. Their low point WAS (has been surpassed) refering to the 1968 Chicago Hippies as “our children”. I was in an Army hospital during the “Chicago Police Riot” cheering “Hit them again!”
The vicious lies and attacks on Senator Barry Goldwater in 1964 was “the msm doing journalism”–continuously running the A-Bomb/Girl counting pedals as news was “the msm doing journalism”. Calling us returning from Viet Nam “flawed” and representing Slick Sick Kerry as our spokesmen was “the msm doing journalism”.
Do I carry a grudge? Big time. Perhaps these shills and clowns can go to Africa and get some training on how to tell the truth–If They Can Handle the Truth. Good for Nkepile Mabuse, she seems proud of her people.

Hating Liberals-it is more than just a job-it is an Adventure.
Apparently the Obamessiah Kool-Aid is not a popular flavor in Ghana.
Think your right there, it is refreshing to see one refute the bs our so called news media are spreading as they worship their master Odumbo.
Even more confusing for CNN is that Mabuse has a British (South African?) accent that liberals assume is a mark of class, intelligence and of course liberal worldview. I imagine they are completely befuddled by this incident and searching for an possible explanation such as she was faking the accent
jsr–as I noted earlier, yes, she is South African.
African countries have a long history of black presidents destroying the economy and social fabric. What’s unprecedented is that until now, the US has only had presidents of European descent destroying ours.
And quite poorly in comparison to Commander Zero.
Why, why, those upitty Africans, don’t they know that race-based conformity is a defacto requirement in the West.
How dare they “diss” our pandering condescension like that???
I can tell you–South Africans generally do not care for the condescension from Americans at all…white, coloured, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, Sotho, Ndebele etc etc.
Isn’t it hell when journalism gets in the way of worship?
This kind of trauma could put Don Lemon in therapy.
With so-called journalists writing editorias instead of reporting the news, how else are we to view them?
Obie can’t dance without TOTUS
Lemon’s reaction was a classic “taken aback” response! D’oh!!!
LOL
Rasmussen reports Obama worship is still dropping.
OK. They danced for Bush.
But, did they rivet an American flag to their forehead with a picture of Bush on it? Hah! Obama is King! sarc*
Notice the CNN Zero Priest started to say “Obama rising” before he corrected himself to say “arriving.” Quite Freudian I think.
Ms Mabuse also skewered his assertion that “that’s the way all Africans greet visitors” with a very clever expression that might have said “yes,” but screamed “whatever, you pompous fool.” Love it.
No, they screen-printed Bush’s face on fabric which was made into rather alluring upper torso wear for beautiful African women who cheerfully danced for him. Rivet boy loses that comparison.
Heh. I like her already…
I’m sure given the time, she could have told Lemon how much Bush did fighting AIDs in Africa.
I hope I can sit next to her in Ebonics class – you know – “at camp”…
Thanks, BB #71, for the quote from CNN’s Priest–more than a Freudian slip, methinks. I haven’t watched CNN for years….but thanks, MM, for posting this–Ms. Mabuse said what she said…and the liberals hate it!
Ah, she has a degree in Civil Engineering. No wonder – you build bridges with facts and numbers, not hope and change…
Love the way they switched away from “Lemon” during her response, no doubt to conceal what must have been a very telling, dour expression on his part.
LOL
The video was great but my fellow commenters have me in stitches. Thanks for the Monday morning silliness, I need it!
How could CNN forget? They ridiculed Bush for his dancing, no?
A refreshingly honest analysis from this un-brainwashed African journalist. I yearn for the days when American journalists were so objective. I’m afraid those days are gone forever.
African journalist Nkepile Mabuse is not on the payroll of the American State Run Media.
Too bad there are not more like her in the MSM instead of the propaganda spokesholes for Barry Soetoro.
Anyone find it funny that Barry is not visiting his birthplace in Mombasa,Kenya while in Africa?
BTW-I will call him Obama when someone can tell me when and where he legally changed his name from Barry Soetoro.
I have friends both in & from Ghana – I’m a little surprised she didn’t smile warmly and lead off with “Don’t be stupid,…”
– Ron

What’s the big deal? Just goes to show she isn’t “authentically black.” She’s probably married to a non-black.
/end sarc
Been there. Done that. Been called on that my entire adult life by black liberals. If you are black and not on the liberal plantation, the problem is with YOU.
How delightful to see a ‘worship-free’ report about BHO on CNN.
I <3 Nkepile.
This video has been removed due to terms of use violation!
I am the Godfather to a Nigerian-American boy. I work with a man from Uganda. The father and mother and Uncles of my God Son and other Africans have told me the disdain they feel for African-Americans. These people have said African-Americans are an embarassment to them. They are quick to point out to people that they are Africans, not African-American. I can’t blame them.
“Thank you Nkepile, we appreciate your reporting…”
Translate as:
“Goodbye Nkepile. I am shredding your Rolodex card as we speak.”
What’s that driping from your nose there Don? Egg?
