IG-Gate: Still smoldering
Stacy McCain updates the story that the Obama administration wants to go away:
“We’re not there yet,” one Democratic source on Capitol Hill said last week, when asked about the prospect for hearings on the Obama administration’s firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin. Congressional investigators are still conducting interviews in the case, so the question of whether to “pull the trigger” on a full-blown inquiry — with subpoenas for witnesses to testify under oath at committee hearings — has yet to be decided.
The fact that both Democrats and Republicans are involved in investigating the Walpin dismissal is, however, highly significant. With Democrats controlling both houses of Congress, bipartisanship is absolutely necessary to getting the truth about the AmeriCorps case, as with the other cases in the smoldering “IG Gate” scandal.

Michelle, is the “Buzzworthy” thingy working? Mine hasn’t changed in days…
Don’t hold your breath on this one. The Anointed’s underlings will find an issue to divert everyone’s attention, i.e. another CIA secret order by VP Cheney to be investigated.
Yes, I suppose it is a good idea to continue to investigate this matter.
C’mon on wind! Blow! Ignite that fire.
O/T: Why no story on the “day laborer” (codeword for illegal) killing those 2 people down in Florida?
Where’s Patrick Fitzgerald when you need him? Is he still working on the Blago Senate Seat Sale?
MSM: “IG-Gate? No, don’t know what you’re talking about, but hey, we got more dirt on Michael Jackson’s brain!”
TOTUS doesn’t have time to deal with this, because he’s kind of busy releasing the captured Iranians who design bombs to kill US troops:

Even if the hearings come to pass, they’ll be of little effect or benefit to anyone; the media is not on board for any investigation that may reflect poorly on their administration and party, and will not do any meaningful reporting on the hearings, regardless of what may be learned – 2010 is too close.
Too bad they’ll be too busy investigating the Bush administration for crimes.
akoypinoy: Let’s see, MJ is dead, Farah is dead, Ed is dead. If I were a Hollyweird star with even a slight head cold I would make certain I had a food-taster…
President Bush was relentlessly hounded for firing a few federal prosecutors.
But, Duh One fires an Inspector General who’s investigating one of his backers and the lame stream media covers a “guitar hero” instead.
President Bush better watch it. Duh One might go after him with both barrels to try to cover this up.
That will happen. No doubt.
So let me get this right…
Karl Rove was interviewed last week regarding the firing of those attorney’s. The democrats just can’t let this thing die.
However, Obama administration fires an IG who exposed one of Prompterbama’s friends mishandling of funds. The MSM will not report the story and the Obama administation has the gall to say that IG Walpin is an old senile wacko and should not be an IG.
Hopefully, we’ll finally get some of Prompterbama’s staff on the hill to explain.
Now that Obama’s approval ratings are tanking, everything is Bush’s fault again.
“Now that Obama’s approval ratings are tanking, everything is Bush’s fault again.”
That well is almost dry.
Anyone watch the movie ‘The Changeling’?
When those at the top have all the power and control they can easily do away with anyone that questions them or tries to shine the light on them.
It’s all about transparency…
It’s more important to hold hearings on a top-secret CIA “IDEA” that never really became operational.
But why hold hearings on abuse of power by Obama and his minions? Or why look into the organized crime family called Acorn?
The new definition of Obama transparency: being able to look right through something like it was never there.
The dems are just dumb enough to spin their lies into a scandal that won’t go away.
Here we are again, looking at an Acorn connection to revising government checks and balances.
At least the enemy is being clearly defined by their actions.
the same people who investigated how all the records of all the clinton opponents ended up in the private area of the white house are looking into how obama can legally fire a guy who is investigating obama’s posse. hmmmmm, mrs clinton sat in on the nixon lynching when he fired that pesky special prosecutor, perhaps she should look into this matter. she sure isn’t doing much at state, as allah is telling the world how to act.
The problem here is that we’ve got Tony Soprano running the White House.
Chicago politics go national.
2010 won’t get here fast enough to save us I’m afraid.
