Government stimulus most often, if not always, stimulates more government. And more government inevitably destroys individual liberty even when that is not the intended outcome, although increasingly the destruction of individual liberty appears to be the major intent of such action especially over the past several years.

The only difference between the GOP and the Democrats in this regard is the rate at which government grows and individual liberty is destroyed.

Now and then I’ve mentioned the wonderful BBC series from ~25 years ago, “Yes Minister”, and “Yes, Prime Minister.”

Ah, yes. I enjoyed that show very much when it ran on PBS (Purely British System ) back in the 80s!

One of the few reasons I used to watch PBS was its dedication of bringing British programing to us, before BBC America : )
