Dr. Obama applies CPR

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 22, 2009 07:24 PM

Here’s your open thread for the Obama emergency revival session on TV tonight.

Conflicting diagnoses:

From Allahpundit, Durbin says no action before August recess.

From Andrew Malcolm, Hoyer says he believes Obamacare will pass next week.

Make a call. Make a difference.

I want some of whatever Hoyer is smoking. I think Krauthammer is (mostly) correct here:

Which is why…I’m absolutely sure that at the end of the year, he will have a bill. It will have the words “health-care reform” on it. It will be extremely watered down: All of the ballast that the Blue Dogs were protesting against, including, I’m sure, the public plan, is going to be thrown overboard.

And it will be a very weak version of what we have now, probably even harmless—which will be a great American achievement. But he’s going to have something. He won’t have it in August, but he will have to have it at the end of the year.

This must be BHO’s 9th national outcry to “get-r-dun”.

I figure that everytime BHO or his buddys get camera time that a Repub should be in front of the camera giving the true story as to costs and coverage.

Heard from Mr. Steele this week...finally.
Could have done it a lot stronger.

But then, he and the crickets have been in some kind of stand-off as to who could be the quietest.

Have been watching a lot of the show House recently on DVR.

My diagnosis for rampant Obammycare? Both Obama and Congress need a brain biopsy without anesthesia. MRI’s are needed first, to determine if there is grey matter present or if it is simply empty promises with hope and change occupying their tiny craniums. A pathology report will then be necessary to see if the problem is malignant (it is). The cure? Term limits would be the best medicine for the future of the patient (our great country), but palliative care would be the defeat of RINO’s in 2010 and a conservative GOP rising out of the ashes of this hideous disease we inherited November 5, 2008.

Remember folks, this has been a wet dream of collectivists since FDR…

it has NOTHING to do with health care, and all to do with controlling every aspect of our individual lives.

    Bingo.

If this was about doing what’s best for Americans, Obama’s panic and egotistical alarm would not be as palpable as it was tonight.

I wonder, in eight years of harsh criticism and BDS if Bush ever whined about people destroying his presidency.

Ed Rendell is on Hannity. What a lying idiot.

The Democrats have a super majority in Congress and Obama blames the Republicans for blocking the bill.

Anyone buying that argument is brain dead.

He inherited a mess. True. But that doesn’t justify his turning the mess, which could have been cleaned up, into a catastrophe that is damn near irreversible.

He said his stimulus plan needed to be passed quickly so unemployment wouldn’t exceed 8%. His stimulus passed, and unemployment is now 9.5%. However bad he says healthcare will be, it will be made far worse by his plan if it passes. Expect to see this pattern repeat as long as he’s in office.
