The fear-mongerer-in-chief

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 22, 2009 10:37 PM

Uhhhhhh, demonizing doctors doesn’t exactly seem the best way to shore up support for the ailing, failing government health care takeover.

But the fear-mongerer-in-chief can’t seem to help himself.

Allah’s got the vid of Obama blabbering about greedy doctors removing your children’s tonsils instead of giving them allergy medicine.

Or something.

Someone needs a nap.

The talking point about “unnecessary” tests and greedy doctors removing tonsils to make money is insulting. I picture some ObamaCare bureaucrat on the phone to a doctor saying, “I am sick of hearing about ‘malignant’ this and ‘urgent care’ that. Just give the kid some Tylenol and stop calling me.”

He insults doctors, but still assumes they’ll remain in the profession to take orders from his bureaucracy under his plan? His plan will fail in so many ways, not the least of which is if just five percent of doctors quit instead of submitting to what he wants. His dolt followers need to understand that Obama doesn’t provide medical care; that still has to be done by doctors. There’s already a shortage of them, and it will get worse under Obamacare.

Rags, this part of Susan Estrich’s article was most meaningful.
I am one who is self-insured by BC/BS,
a perfectly healthy non-smoking 51 year old who is paying about $390/month with a $2,500 annual deductible. In ye olden days, some routine tests would be no big deal in terms of costs. Now it is.

“Am I just as appalled as the next person when I get the bill (that for me, luckily, is mostly paid by insurance) and see what various tests and scans cost, or, rather, what hospitals are forced to charge patients with insurance in order to cover the ones without it? Sure.

But I’m not willing to give up my doctor or the time I spend with him. I’m not willing to give up the relationship we have. My children, now grown, feel as comfortable calling him as I do because he has taken the time with them over the years to build that trust.

And no matter how high the final price tag on those tests have been, never once have I said, “If I’d known how much they would cost, I wouldn’t have had them done.” No, I’m grateful for my insurance, grateful for the technology, grateful for good care.”

I have been dealing with “Government Run Healthcare” for the last few years. It is called “California Worker’s Comp”. It is where the doctor tells you what you need, then the Government decides whether or not it is worth the cost, whether they will do it, whether it will be approved, etc.

What has it lead to? It lead to me being permanently crippled due to the Government going AGAINST the doctors orders as well as medical protocol, causing the loss of my career, marriage, income and so much more.

This is EXACTLY what Obamacare, Socialized/Universal healthcare or whatever the hell it is being called this week is like, only on a smaller scale. The greed of the lazy is guiding this nation into the #$($-pile, and is going to cause a great many people to lose their lives, health, mobility and so much more.

The people who are actually FOR this are heartless, lazy, inconsiderate, greedy little Bas****s who think of nothing but themselves, and still have the mentality that nothing bad could ever happen to them.

By the time people finally wake-up to the hell that Obama and the rest of the Prolitariat in Washington is forcing on us, it will be too late to stop or change, and once this genie is out of the bottle, it can NEVER be put back or killed.

I pray to God that people wake up soon, that this will be at least shelved until after the 2010 elections and that the polls for the Dems continue their meteoric collapse to where it will be impossible for this to EVER pass.

People truly have no idea what hell this will unleash on the health and well-being of this nation. The government that cannot handle Medicare, Social Security or balance the damn budget and who is voting into law bills they refuse to even read, is what people want to actually make life and death decisions for themselves and their loved ones.

    Un-freaking-believable.

This is what we get when people elect a president because they think that he is “hip” or “black” or “eloquent” etc. all of which have nothing more that a pot of piss to do with being leadership, the most important quality that was totally ignored again in the last elections. Meanwhile, like in “Star Wars: The clone wars”, the liberals are growing their own clone army of voters to insure their supremacy for the next thousand years. Hmmmmm. Sound familiar?

I read a speech by Teddy Roosevelt a year ago, and these two paragraphs struck me as amazingly relevant to Barack Obama:

Of one man in especial, beyond any one else, the citizens of a republic should beware, and that is of the man who appeals to them to support him on the ground that he is hostile to other citizens of the republic, that he will secure for those who elect him, in one shape or another, profit at the expense of other citizens of the republic. It makes no difference whether he appeals to class hatred or class interest, to religious or antireligious prejudice. The man who makes such an appeal should always be presumed to make it for the sake of furthering his own interest. The very last thing an intelligent and self-respecting member of a democratic community should do is to reward any public man because that public man says that he will get the private citizen something to which this private citizen is not entitled, or will gratify some emotion or animosity which this private citizen ought not to possess.

Let me say at once that I am no advocate of a foolish cosmopolitanism. I believe that a man must be a good patriot before he can be, and as the only possible way of being, a good citizen of the world. Experience teaches us that the average man who protests that his international feeling swamps his national feeling, that he does not care for his country because he cares so much for mankind, in actual practice proves himself the foe of mankind; that the man who says that he does not care to be a citizen of any one country, because he is the citizen of the world, is in fact usually and exceedingly undesirable citizen of whatever corner of the world he happens at the moment to be in. In the dim future all moral needs and moral standards may change; but at present, if a man can view his own country and all others countries from the same level with tepid indifference, it is wise to distrust him, just as it is wise to distrust the man who can take the same dispassionate view of his wife and mother. However broad and deep a man’s sympathies, however intense his activities, he need have no fear that they will be cramped by love of his native land.

    Prophetic.

Admittedly I do fear the man and his power-I worry a lot about his angry, bitter demeanor. I worry about the angry, bitter radicals he has appointed all over government-angry, bitter people exactly of the type to institute the secret police, state controlled judiciary and re-education camps their kind seem to favor.

Barrack Obama does have a chip on his shoulder-this spoiled, coddled child of privileged is bitter his father abandoned him and takes it out on the world-he is bitter his mother left him and takes it out on the world. He is bitter his grandfather was a lazy fool and takes it out on his white grandmother and “typical white persons”. Barrack Obama was taught by his Black Nationalist/Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis that “the Man” was keeping him down, capitalism was slavery and the Blue Eyed Devil-including his grandmother- was his natural enemy.

So Obama, this child of privilege, finds the Reverand Jeremiah Wright who for 20 years reinforces his hated of America, the Man and the Blue Eyed Devil. Now that Obama is beginning to taste defeat and humility, what will he do to get back at us? Fear factor.

    Resistance is mandatory.

There is at least one other interesting passage in T Roosevelt’s address at the Sorbonne

“But if a man’s efficiency is not guided and regulated by a moral sense, then the more efficient he is the worse he is, the more dangerous to the body politic.

Courage, intellect, all the masterful qualities, serve but to make a man more evil if they are merely used for that man’s own advancement, with brutal indifference to the rights of others.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s assertion Wednesday that government will stay out of health care decisions in an overhauled system is hard to square with the proposals coming out of Congress and with his own rhetoric.

Even now, nearly half the costs of health care in the U.S. are paid for by government at all levels. Federal authority would only grow under any proposal in play.

A look at some of Obama’s claims in his prime-time news conference:

What should be not be lost on anyone was this fact.

If a conservative President had delivered a rambling, incoherent opening like Obama’s, the White House press corps would have hit him with questions that would have torn him apart……. justifiably.

But yet again, we see only Obama cheerleaders selected to ask softball questions, which were most likely pre-selected by Obama’s staff, so the teleprompter was ready.

I think Obama could beat a 90 year old woman to death with a pipe on national TV and the press would still cover for him.
