“It’s better to have a product based on quality and thoughtfulness rather than try to jam something through.”

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 23, 2009 02:03 PM

Sez Harry Reid now in his announcement that there will be no health care takeover bill until after the August recess:

“It’s better to have a product based on quality and thoughtfulness rather than try to jam something through.”

Gee, if only they had that attitude before they jammed through all the bailouts, the porkulus, and the House cap and tax bill!

LOL. I’d see this as a reaction to the President’s address not doing much to settle the nerves of the country over this bill, not that he’s suddenly very thoughtful.

If anything, this is just a power play that one might expect from Reid or Pelosi to try and gain some political leverage on an increasingly unpopular bill.

And that is precisely why we need to make sure there is a Town Hall meeting in every single Congressional district during the August recess!

Call your Congressional Representative and both of your Senators to find out when the Town Hall meeting is scheduled for your district.

Before anybody votes on the health care reform bill, all Congresspeople and Senators have a duty to read and understand the bill well enough to explain the details to their constituents and to answer questions about the bill.

We need to make sure our elected representatives are doing the job we elected them to do!
