These programs simply need to end, and Americans need to turn a cold shoulder to those who will starve because of it.     In this case, ‘reconciliation’ is a vote in the Senate to approve an item already funded in the budget, but not specifically authorized. It is not subject to the filibuster. 50 votes and Joe Biden would pass it.

    Obama said if Democrats defect in the Senate, so that he can’t get a cloture vote, he will demand the Senate pass Obamacare as a ‘reconciliation’ item on a simple majority.

    The Senate parliamentarian is a Democrat, and his decisions aren’t binding anyway, the presiding officer of the Senate can do as he pleases.

    BTW, Obama is meeting Reid and Baucus today to demand an Obamacare vote before recess.

They aren’t the entire margin of the Dems over the Republicans, but they are a big part of it.

    Reminder, the Blue Dogs voted 38-11 in favor of Porkulus. They aren’t that moderate to begin with.
