Lindsay Graham -

Off to the dustbin of obscurity and irrelevence once again.

Sorry to say this, but his continued lilly livered actions...just change his registration to Democrat all ready (as if we didn't all ready know this).

Graham is Republican? Who knew?

Given his position last summer on the Grahmnesty bill (comprehensive immigration reform) I didn’t think he was a GOPer.

He's a tool that got invited to the DC cocktail party and forgot where he parked the car. Dems love him, conservatives just want to sight in the 30.06 before deer season.

If our Constitution was a steel structure Graham just voted to thrown another bucket of acid onto it!

Wondering who not to vote for next election cycle, this will definitely qualify for one of the three unforgivable votes along with Cap and Tax and health care reform. Beware the so called compromise deal--they will use it to keep the bill alive enough to reinsert everything they compromise during conference!

Hopefully..and I stress the word "hopefully"...the current justices on the Supreme Court will see the kind of nominee that is brought forward by this administration and will not retire from the bench.

Clearly, Sotomayor is unqualified to sit on the Supreme Court. She is no supporter of the Constitution, nor of freedom and liberty. Of course, the Dems don't support the Constitution either, nor are they champions of freedom and liberty...so I'm not surprised at their unanimous support.

But Senator Graham should hang his head in shame for voting for her. He calls himself a Republican. He should do us all a favor and become a Democrat just as Specter did.

Before the Senate can vote to confirm a Supreme Court nominee, they must first address the issue of whether or not the person who made the nomination is Constitutionally eligible to hold the office of President!

Obama previously claimed that the 14th Amendment made him eligible to be President.

But the Supreme Court, more than six years after the 14th Amendment became part of the Constitution said, in "Minor v Happersett",

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that.”

This 14th Amendment was ratified July 9, 1868.
U.S. Supreme Court CHIEF JUSTICE Morrison Remick Waite delivered the opinion of the court in “Minor v Happersett” on March 29, 1875.

Members of Congress (Senators and Representatives) have a Constitutional duty to:

1) Personally inspect a certified copy of Obama’s original birth certificate, sent to them under seal directly from the State of Hawaii. (Just as was done with the certification of the Electoral College vote)

2) Ask the Supreme Court to clarify the meaning of the Constitutional phrase “Natural Born Citizen”.

Sotomayor stated, "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

Lindsey Graham replied, “It is troubling. It’s inappropriate and I hope she’ll apologize,” Graham told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. “If I had said something like that – or someone with my background and profile [had] – we wouldn’t be talking about this nomination going forward…. she’s got to prove to me that if I find myself in court with a Latina woman, in front of her, I’d get a fair shake, and that’s up to her to do.”

As a lawyer, why doesn't Graham use "BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT" as standard of proof Sotomayor is not suitable for the Supreme Court?

RINO Lindsey Graham must be defeated in the next election cycle. He is ALL TALK and NO ACTION.

I would like to say that this is a shock and surprise, but really...it's not. Voting for her is wrong, for multiple reasons. My opinion is, she tries to legislate from the bench, which is seem from her rulings in the courts. I do not believe her to be impartial, based on (again) her judgments from the bench as well as her own words. Her en masse dodging of even basic questions during her confirmation.

Unfortunately, this is a "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" scenario. If you confirm her, you're screwed because of what she'll do when she's there. If you don't, you're denounced as a racist (with all of the typical liberal mewling over why we're eeeeeevil).

Meh.
