Grass-roots revolt in Austin, TX: “Just say no!” to Obamacare; Pennsylvanians boo Sebelius & Specter, “How can you manage health care when you can’t manage Cash For Clunkers?”

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 2, 2009 07:50 PM

Democrat Rep. Lloyd Doggett went home to Austin, Texas, and heard from his constituents about the planned government health care takeover.

Message: “Just say no!”

This taxpayer counterinsurgency is exactly what I talked about on the ABC This Week panel earlier today. The long, hot recess is underway. Make yourselves heard. Mark your calendars for the nationwide August 22 Recess Rally. Prepare to be demonized, of course.

And don’t let up until socialized medicine goes down:

***

In Philadelphia, Kathleen Sebelius and Arlen Specter get an earful (the YouTube user who posted the video calls the protesters “crazies.” You’re going to get a lot of that. Just carry on):

Better video and report from Andrew Monaghan here. Here’s one question from a woman who ticks off failed government program after failed government program and concludes, “How Can You Manage Health Care When You Can’t Manage Cash For Clunkers?”

***

More: What happens when Specter tells voters Congress needs to pass Obamacare “fast?” Watch here.

Did you likewise call out the Code Pinkos who disrupted Congressional hearings to make their voices heard?

I don’t remember specific instances, but I’m sure Code Pink has been disruptive. I do not approve of that. They were dealt with as was appropriate — they were removed from the hearing room.

These conservative hecklers should get the same treatment. They should be removed once they become disruptive. I can see it now: MM hyperventilates over “Nazi tactics” as Republican hecklers are removed from a Congressman’s townhall meeting (of course, real Nazis would just shoot them).

Here is the link to the SF Chronicle coverage of Code Pink protestors at the last Town Hall meeting Nancy Pelosi held in San Francisco in January 2006.

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/01/15/BAGSMGNJDL15.DTL

    As the article describes:
“The protesters stood quietly in front of Pelosi waving their signs for the entire two-hour meeting, while hecklers from the audience frequently interrupted the talk.”

lgm—now you are worried about busing people to political events. WOW–isn’t this what the lefties do all the time–except they pay the people–especially to vote. Maybe your saviour can have the black panthers provide security. They might get their a$$ kicked this time. You can’t stand vocal protests against socialized medicine–to f–ing bad.

lgm: The question was, “Did YOU call out Code Pinko for their actions?”

I already knew the answer, “No, you didn’t and you won’t.”

You reserve your condemnation for those with whom you do not agree. Those who support your agenda get a pass from you — you leave clean-up to others so you don’t have to get your hands dirty from those who think as you do.

    Typical liberal.

This was NOT a Congressional hearing, it was a Townhall meeting where the Congressman was supposed to hear from his constituents. Essentially he was putting his fingers in his ears and disregarding their inputs, so they resorted to a means of making certain he heard their message without having to listen to him spout off the party line.

Bad form, perhaps. Effective, you betcha! Although he did not want to, he heard and had d@mn well better remember how his constituents feel about the issue at hand.

Yeah, that whole freedom of speech has no place in a town hall meeting, right lgm?

Oh, it does…but only when the messengers have messages lgm – and our liberal overlords – approve of. Remember how under Bush dissent was “patriotic”? Now it’s treason and not protected speech.

Same thing with the Obama as The Joker posters – outrage for blaspheming The One, but as Newbusters points out, not so much anger when the same image of Bush was reproduced last year(along with hundreds of other demeaning images throughout his presidency).

I called it ages ago – anything said or done that questions or challenges Obama will not only be treasonous, but “racist” too!

But, funny, all the liberals who called me delusional back then have yet to apologize…

Since I love the sound of liberal heads popping, I have created the perfect line of clothing for wear at your next Tea Party or Town Hall Meeting. All the cool kids are wearing them.

And the comment I read from a liberal at the LA Weekly blog stating that he would punch anyone he saw wearing one, no questions asked was more than enough to motivate me to make them.

    See that fool here:http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/politics/new-anti-obama-joker-poster/

And the fashionable apparel here: http://www.cafepress.com/4therepublic

More items will be posted soon and I do take custom orders.

Michelle, the Tea Party types are over-running every town hall and owning every rally across the country, even in liberal areas. we had to add a special sidebar call ‘elsewhere’ just to keep up with the latest ones. Many Congresspeople are taking the unprecedented step of not having any open meetings in the August recess; including Chet Edwards in Texas and Dan Boren in Oklahoma. It won’t matter; their constituents will be rallying in mass at their offices anyway.

At this rate, the Democrats may end up looking back at 1994 as being not so bad.

Menendez wants you to email him – yeah woohoo baby as if he’s going to bother. Neither Andrews nor Lautenberg even goes there. At least they’re honest.
