This is hyperbole reporting on a very real problem.

Younger Americans are concerned about their parent’s health care costs dissipating the parent’s own estate.

When you have so many adult children living at home, can you imagine that they do not selfishly worry about their parent’s estate?

Never heard of ‘The People’s Cube’ before. Whoever is behind it is brilliant!

I hope there is a large number of the elderly (70 yrs. +) out there with access to the internet. Many use their computers mostly for email or pix, not so much news sites/blogs. They get their news from ABC, CBS, NBC – TVs.
Also, many are dependent on AARP supplemental insurance and are pretty happy with it – and they trust AARP.
I hope they are getting the true story somewhere.

Another idea is an office scene at a government agency, where bureaucrats get “Employee of the Month” and and are awarded trips to Hawaii for “counselling out” the greatest number of seniors. Ring the bell, another sales is made! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

People’s cube has been a favorite of mine for quite awhile. It’s been good for a smile when I feel down about the news lately. Being up there in the years, I now worry about the quality of care, if any, I’ll get in a few years. Will our care end up like Britain? Even their hospitals are a disgrace. I would never work in one. I would certainly leave the field, if I had to tell an elderly patient that we cannot properly treat their pain, because of cutbacks, or some politician deemed it “inappropiate”.

This idea is on the mark for Death with Dignity whackos. There are millions of cry-baby oldsters ready to punch their tickets, but with no legal remedy. I forsee a new industry opening up. Dr. Death was a man before his time. It’ll be voluntary at first, and then pressure salesmen will put you on a guilt-trip for “wasting” your offspring’s inheritance, and then the government will have to start regulating it. It’s a forgone conclusion!

Knowing how Obamacare will be, based on how other socialist plans are today, you can elect the option to “die with dignity”, but have to wait up to a year to see a specialist in order to get a prescription for the drug…no co-pay either.
