The problem isn’t Democrats or Republicans, it’s incumbents. It’s people who occupy these seats long enough to turn them into tiny little self-enriching kingdoms.

The President and every member of Congress should be audited every single year, and the public made aware of exactly where their income is coming from.

Talk about corruption! Per Drudge: The house orders 3 elite jets, cost $200 million to ferry members of congress. They can’t fund our militay aircraft, but the gosh horrible dc bunch need to have their comfort. GADS.

17 of 535 legislators under investigation is 3.2%. Does anyone believe for a minute that 96.8% of our Congressmen are ethical?

Not even the tip of the iceberg.

I heard of a new term today. It’s Goooh. It’s pronounced “go” and is an acronym for Get Out Of Our House! Meaning congress.

I believe that there were 4 republicans also in that group of 17. Why single out the democrats? I’m just asking because we need to be fair and balanced. The MAJORITY of corruptocrats are indeed dems. Not surprising. But to leave out the information that 4 are republicans is just inviting criticism from the critics.

Only less than 20 corrupt congressmen and women? These are just the most flagrant violators.

I wonder if a study has been done where the net worth of an elected official is noted when they are first elected and then checked what their net worth is after a few terms in office? I’d bet it’s higher than what a congressmen’s salary would boost it.

Your point understood. I suspect MM has singled out the Dems because, once again, they prove Pelosi wasn’t even close to being serious when she promised her reign over congress would be the most ethical ever.

The Dms will rarely if ever penalize their own and often reward them. We on the other hand will do our best to rid congress of the Republican miscreants.,

LOL. Just wait for the cries of “discrimination” and “racism”. Obviously many of these good statespersons are being singled out because of their race/ethnicity. Just look at the statistics. 5 of the 17 are african-american (29+%). More than double their proportion of the general population and probably a much higher proportion of their representation in congress. Including the lovely hispanic Sanchez sisters, the proportion rises to 41+% (even higher if Menedez claims hispanic origin). So this is obviously a racist ploy by the white population and congress to hold minorities down. /sarc off

Frankly, I don’t care who they are or their political leanings. Corruption can never be tolerated. History shows how corruption can become quickly out of control if not dealt with harshly and immediately.
