As the Clint Eastwood character said in Million Dollar Baby “Never take your eyes off your opponent and always be ready to defend yourself.” (or words to that affect). This is the first time in my 54 years that I’ve thought of my own government as “the opponent”.

This has all happened far more quickly than I ever thought possible. It’s been only six months and the great uniter post-partisan president has this country more divided than it has been since the 1930′s. I thought it would take at least two or three years to get to this point but when you have people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid running congress nothing comes as a surprise anymore. Obama himself has referred to anyone who disagrees with him as his “opponents”. Therefore over half of the citizens he is supposed to be preserving and protecting are his opponents. He is not my president. He is the president of the liberal left. That has become indesputable.
Unions are criminal organizations that should be all banned once and for all.
Look at this video. There is no mob shutting down a townhall meeting. There is one person calmly stating the obvious — that an interest group will take an active role in an upcoming election.

Unions organizing rallies is not “goon squads”. It’s one thing to organize a rally. It’s another to organize a noisy protest outside some else’s rally. It’s over the line to shut down townhall events and prevent Congressmen from interacting with their constituents.
I frequently wanted to get more involved politically in the horrid Bush economy but the endless 60 hour work weeks wore me out and left little spare time for family. Considering all those stimulus jobs, not to mention numerous opportunities in the new Green Economy, I have to wonder how they have time or energy to show up at these meetings.
Yeah, good luck with that. Who would do it? It is called power…they have it, we don’t.

Case in point: San Fran Nan stated 70% of Americans wanted the health care bill passed. She is obviously not listening to Americans since polls do NOT support her assertion.
Further, when someone keeps repeating the same, tired talking points without providing a direct answer to a direct question, the questioner has to assume the Congressman can’t hear.
Therefore, the Congressmen’s hearing must be shot and their constituents HAVE TO SHOUT to be heard!

I completely agree with that. Up to now, we have seen an amazingly smooth character in the bully pulpit, notwithstanding all the wishful thinkers on our side who deride his every appearnace. Sure, he is a complete fraud with a huge secret, socialist, internationalist, anti-white, anti-American agenda. But he has been smooth, almost completely unflappable as he has told his lies.
But my reading of his face and manner and body language tells me that he is extremely threatened by his falling popularity. It is fairly easy to appear graceful and in control when you have high poll ratings, big majorities on Capitol Hill, and a fawning press. But how one performs in these circumstances does not whatsoever predict how one will perform in adversity.
IMO, if Obama’s popularity continues to decline, we will see naked public displays of his arrogance, petulance, and bitterness. And if he responds that way, he will be in a political death spiral. I think his composure is significantly slipping already.

My neighbors work full time jobs and don’t expect others to pay their bills. My neighbors are teachers or work in law enforcement. My neighbors have figured out that Obama created the health care crisis for purposes other than helping people with limited means to pay for healthcare. We’ve figured out that Medi-Care and Medi-Cal take care of those people. My neighbors want less government in their lives, not more. rightisright, when that looming day is fully upon us, the people will have to decide how to deal with the worst of the worst, high-value captives after their summary trials. (Such trials would presumably be quickly conducted according to the unalienable rights of man.)
Now, I have always envisioned lampposts as providing the suitable infrastructure for the punishment phase in these kinds of situations. But, alas, suitable old-fashioned lampposts are no longer that common.
To take Washington, DC, just as a for instance…do you suppose that the patriots will conduct convicted enemies of the people to Georgetown for dispatch? I haven’t been in Georgetown in decades, but it has such a rep as a quaint place; I bet that there are old-fashioned lampposts everywhere.
(Personally, I am horrified by the prospect of such extra-judicial activity and would discourage it. But, alas, since I would be helpless to intervene, I would hope to have a good seat, you know, to bear witness and all.)
