I had a feeling he was about that age or older. I hate to paint with a broad brush, so that’s why I asked. I don’t think I’d go any further with that subject either lol.
I finished reading Culture of Corruption just yesterday. It was an impressive compilation of facts and data. That’s one of the things that I really like about Michelle’s writing style, viz. she always does a VERY thorough job of researching the subject matter. Congratulations (again).

Can anyone tell me why the President should not have to obey the documentation requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act?
If a sixteen year-old wants to start a job at a McDonald’s, they couldn’t get away with showing a newspaper announcement and saying, “Go to this URL to see my birth certificate”.
Yet that seems to be sufficient to hold the office of President and Commander in Chief of our armed forces.
Men and women in our armed forces are laying their life on the line to support and defend our Constitution.
Don’t we owe it to them to do due diligence and ensure that the orders of their Commander in Chief are legal?
Don’t we owe it to them to enforce our own Immigration laws, and expect Obama to release an official copy of his original birth certificate from Hawaii?

BOB – In the article you linked, the author claims with undocumented references that Obama was born in Mombassa, Kenya. Mombassa was not part of Kenya until 1964.

Most of us have read and studied your issue, and find there is absolutely nothing any of us can do on a personal basis to prove or disprove it’s validity. I presume you produced a paper birth certificate for your passport.
The only paper document Obama produced did not come from the State of Hawaii and was only shown to a small, controlled, Annenberg-connected group that subsequently misrepresented what they had seen (they said it was Obama’s “original birth certificate” when it was not).

The fact that Obama’s “Certification of Live Birth” first appeared on Daily Kos along with “Haye I.B. Ahphorgerie” (”Hey! I Be A Forgery!“) is concrete evidence of fraud.
But you seem to suggest that we should just trust Obama and “Move on”.
I don’t believe that Oblameamerica is a citizen either, but it’s just a little too late to go down that road anymore. The mere fact that he’s spent more then EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT IN HISTORY COMBINED however makes me think that the man needs impeaching and quickly! If only it were that easy though…..

Think about it. Keep pursuing the birth certificate and the MSM will paint anybody doing so as a crackpot. Then when things finally end up in front of a judge, he pulls out a valid birth certificate and where does your credibility go with the next accusation.

Do people really believe that when Obama decided to put vitually all his records under lock and key and a pile of lawyers that he did it so at some point he could pull out his long-form birth certificate and say, “gotcha”?
That seems waaay out to me. Of course the libs want to make conservatives look bad anytime they can..and at this point would they plant fake documents and enjoy their cohorts on MSNBC and CNN making fun of anyone who questions, “who is Barack Obama? Of course they would.
But the underlying reason of trying to make fools out of anyone who questions why a president keeps almost all of his records, (there is a long list), under lock and key is not just to subject them to ridicule, it is, more importantly, to prevent the truth from being pursued. Many libs also agree, even if they don’t admit it, that something is badly wrong with Obama’s hiding of his past. They also know if the truth was revealed they would lose their idea of a perfect president. Those libs capable of logic don’t believe someone would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars hiding stuff that does not matter.
To believe that nothing is wrong here requires in my opinion a complete suspension of logic.
We must not let them prevent us from searching for the truth.
And if the truth turns out to be what I believe it is, it is most certainly not too late!!

You still produced a paper document from one government agency to another government agency.
That is something Obama has not done.
The State of Hawaii has never confirmed the authenticity of the Certification of Live Birth produced by and at the Obama campaign headquarters.
And Obama never presented this hard copy document to any government agency.
He only showed it to an unelected, unaccountable, untrustworthy, Annenberg-connected organization.
Two things need to happen:
This is a very reasonable expectation, and if Obama has been telling the truth, everything will match up. If anything doesn’t match up, however, Obama is revealed as a fraud, and likely guilty of perjury, forgery, obstruction of justice, etc.
Can someone like Obama, who’s own campaign web site admitted he was born a British subject due to his father’s British (not U.S.) citizenship, be considered a “natural born citizen” of the United States?
That second question has everything to do with the citizenship of his father, and nothing to do with birth location.

“Mr. President, will you open your long-form birth certificate for media and public review? And, if not, why not?”
Just got back from celebrating my 42nd birthday (which was actually yesterday) with the hubby and friends. The two older kids started school yesterday which was a great present from the Board of Ed, so I spent a peaceful birthday at home with my 2-yr-old daughter and 2-wk-old son. Life is good!

For most of my life I did not have a birth certificate. I had a Certificate of Live Birth issued by the state of Maryland. I used it to get my SSN and work permit as a teenager and both my driver’s and marriage licenses. BUT, the Departent of State would not accept it when I applied for a passport. For the 1st time in my life I needed a birth certificate. So I paid the $10 or whatever it was and the State sent me a fresh copy to prove I was born in the US.
Personally, I believe Obama is a US citizen. I don’t know why he doesn’t just release the document…maybe his parent’s names are mis-spelled–just as both my parent’s names are mis-spelled in Maryland’s records. I don’t know.
Rep. Michael C. Burgess, R-Texas, held two town hall meetings today. I attended the one in Denton. It was very well attended and the crowd was overwhelmingly in support of his position, which is against the proposed bill but in favor of free market reforms, such as those suggested by Sen. Jim DeMint, R-SC. There were a few Obamabots on hand, but they were vastly out-numbered, and for the most part behaved themselves pretty well. Rep. Burgess, who was an OB-GYN before being elected to Congress in 2002, listened to comments and gave brief answers to questions when asked. It was a peaceful, helpful meeting. He urged people to continue to express their opposition to the pending legislation, since that is the only way Democratic congressmen will feel it in their best interests to get rid of the worst features of this abominable bill (my term, not his.) BTW, when asked if he would vote for any bill that paid for abortions, he flat out said, “No.” My kinda Congressman.

I downloaded the mp3s to listen to later. I’m not familiar with her – if she’s long on conspiracies my attention span will tend to be a bit short, though. As I sez, I’m more of a “ask the simple question and see what comes of it” mind.
A lot of talk about an eight month investigation….it would only sound like a conspiracy if you find what they are saying about the MSM, including Fox News, unbelievable. If you listen and think about what you are hearing and seeing from the MSM and the Obama administration you will likely find it quite a compelling story.

chap, I can’t say that I’ve ever shown my birth certificate for a job, but I did have to have it to receive my SSN. That was before they started filling out the paperwork for kids in the hospital. I was 16 when I got my SSN.

My second “beef” is that Obama has never released any document directly from the State of Hawaii to even prove #1. And the State of Hawaii, when asked, refused to verify the authenticity of the COLB produced at and by the Obama campaign headquarters.
Why do people keep separating the birth certificate issue from the long list of other records Obama keeps under lock and key at major expense? Many of those records would have require that he answered questions like, “where were you born’, “are you a US citizen” and/or
are you claiming “foreign student status”.
All the secrecy rolls together in one big nasty package.

Thanks Red, as I said before, the reason for the demonizing and ridicule of those who believe the secrecy of Obama and his minions on this issue is not just to make them “look bad”. To generate the intensity the Obamabots have on this issue requires something else, the fear of losing their perfect president. The ONE who can and is making every pent up liberal idea come true in record time.

And could we drop the “birther” issue please? The intent of the “natural born” requirement in the Constitution was to prevent our government, should it find itself in an unbreakable logjam, to be tempted to resort to an option other countries often opted for: inviting a foreign prince from a powerful country to become our king. Countries like Poland and Mexico, for instance. Even were we to learn that Obama is in fact a foreign-born royal prince, the Constitution denies him the rights of a king, most importantly, of the rights of succession.
Obama’s situation is at worst, a technical violation of the law which can be dealt with in time. It is not a constitutional crisis. It is just one of endless examples of the creeping corruption of small sins. Going over the cliff one inch at a time.

By that overly restrictive definition that ITookTheRedPill (#141) gives, then even McCain isn’t qualified to be President.
I have a friend, born in Spain while his American parents were working there for an American company. Under Spain’s laws, he could have had Spanish citizenship, however he renounced that when he turned 18. He is able to serve as POTUS.
My son’s mother was a Korean citizen when he was born in Hawaii. Once he turns 35, he will be able to serve as POTUS.
Based on this strict definition, producing the actual document, would likely show that his father is a Kenyan national, just like we know that he was. So, no one who believes Obama is unable to serve as President will be satisfied, even with the real document, if they subscribe to the definition provided above.
I’m not sure what the point of all of this is. The document means nothing if all three conditions must be applied. The people clamoring for this don’t want a birth certificate, they want his removal from office.
I see nothing positive in continuing this quest.
This man needs to be stopped due to the wrongheadedness of his economic thinking, the historically proven failures of his tired progressive proposals, the monumental burden he and this Congress are placing on future generations, and his hypnotic hold he has on the herd of American sheep.

They also show he was finally kicked out for drug dealing. I think you are right about his birth certificate. It probably shows something that would embarrass him or prove he lied about his parentage. His whole life is a lie, so why would we assume he is telling the truth about the details of his birth? He probably was born in Hawaii. But what on that document is he trying to suppress? Some day we will know. For now, we need to stop the healthcare bill or we will be dependent on Big Brother forever. The American Patriots are totally unwilling to be “ruled” by corrupt socialist/marxists who want to dictate every phase of our lives. This will not end well!!

If these youtube videos accomplish anything, it is to show us just how utterly inept our entrenched criminal class of elected weasels truly are. Many of them are completely out of their league once they crawl out of their dark corners of obscurity. Ordered by “fearless leader” to strike back twice as hard, these little yap dogs end up sounding shrill and just plain stupid. They are doing America a great service in helping us finally realize that our government is populated by ambitious, pompous,corrupt and inept weasels.

Yesterday was a sad day, I turned in my son’s clunker to the dealer, a rusty 97 Crown Vic police interceptor with a little over 120K on it. He went to college on the other side of the state and needed a car when his first car died of catastrophic engine failure, (conn rod bearing let go I think?). I stipulated that it had to be something large for the mostly highway speed trips back and forth and priced around $5K and that’s what he found in an auto trade paper. It had about 45K when he bought it.
So it served it’s purpose well for over 5 years for him, (including grad school), and a almost a couple for me. He got a solid job in another state only month after graduation, bought a fancy car that he really wanted and I ended up with his CV.
It handled really well, the engine and tranny were still pretty solid but the corrosion was its ultimate demise as it seems to be for many Fords. About a year ago, the attachment bracket for the right front wheel’s stabilzer bar peeled right off of the frame where it had become paper thin from corrosion – no real problem, I kept driving it. A couple months ago, the lower cross bar that supports the radiator just fell off so I hanger-wired the radiator to the upper front cross frame – no real problem, I kept driving it. But then, when it developed a minor starter motor problem and I was under the car fixing that, I noticed the motor mounts – hello, BIG problem!,(picture the Bluesmobile pulling up to Daley Plaza). ~70K miles on a $5K car with another~ $1.5K repair cost for ball joints, tie rods, battery, pads/rotors/lines/calipers, etc. along the way.
So I was thinking, if I had simply junked it, that comes out to a vehicle cost of about 10 cents a mile. It got pretty good mileage on the highway ~23 for him, (better than listed), so say it averaged out 20 after I had it, @ $2.50 comes out to about 13 cents a mile. Insurance totaled about 800 x ~7years $5600 , another 8 cents. Another penny for oil, tires, registration; 10+13+8+1= 32 cents a mile. Not too shabby.
One thing was for certain; it was headed for the crusher with or without a cash for clunker. Basically the government bought my drivable piece of junk for $4500.
I have no reason to feel guilty about it either. I’ve seen my tax money used to buy stuff like $600 toilet seats and $400 hammers many of which are probably already in the same scrap heap the CV is headed for. How many miles did we get out of those?

We all know the State of Hawaii will not release a certified copy of Obama’s Birth Certificate to anyone who does not have a “tangible interest in the record”. I have received verbal commitment from someone with a “tangible interest” to make this request. Let’s see if the State of Hawaii rejects them.
But perhaps we should try to get a Letter of Verification?
Supply the information that Obama made public on the COLB, as well as the supposed birth location of Kapi’olani Medical Center.
If the State of Hawaii can’t verify that information, then the fraud is revealed…
Why is that important? Because even the people who don’t understand or agree that Obama is ineligible because his father and he were British subjects at birth can still understand fraud and cover-up.
On this thirty-fifth anniversary of the day President Nixon submitted his letter of resignation for his role in the Watergate scandal, people are reminded of how much they dislike cover-ups and how they voted for a candidate who promised to be “open, transparent, and accountable”.
It the State of Hawaii cannot verify that what Obama has said about his own birth is true, then a majority of “We the People” will demand he be removed from office.
I believe that the “original vital record” of Obama’s birth, on record in Hawaii, is nothing more than the sworn statement of one of his relatives. I do not believe that it is a hospital birth certificate signed by a doctor. Even if I am wrong about that, I believe that he was subsequently adopted by Lolo Soetoro and his last name was changed to Soetoro.

Answer me this Tre, why is it that EVERYONE that owns a Harley has to inject it’s name into a conversation? When I mention to someone about going on a ride I just say cycle ride.
Do you have to justify in some way paying so much for such an inferior product?

Well, I really don’t care what brand anyone rides but I have only disdain for those who act like 12 year olds and need to have a bike that everyone is forced to hear 20 miles away at 3 in the morning. And I never understood the idea that the size of a motorcycle somehow proves manhood? (Maybe for some, perhaps the bigger the bike – the more insecure they are about that?). I’ve had a Yamaha 535 Virago for the last ten years and put 27K on it mostly from commuting to work in the summer. For me, it’s just the right size for riding narrow New England city streets. One thing that amazes me about it, it’s been virtually trouble free all these years and still runs like a sewing machine.
