New York’s 11 public hospitals are at the forefront of a national movement to standardize color coding of hospital wristbands to designate patient conditions, in which purple — the color of amethyst — means “Do Not Resuscitate.”Red, or ruby, indicates allergies, while yellow — call it amber — marks someone at risk for falling.

The color coordination is perfect whether its a shirt or a bracelet.

    Nice Firefly reference there, Shimauma2.

For anybody not yet a fan of one of the best Scifi series ever made, here’s some Firefly wiki for Shimauma2’s reference.

    purple belly:
An Alliance soldier or officer. (Used in reference to an Alliance Captain in Bushwhacked.) The Alliance’s official colors include purple and are used on the abdomen (belly) of Alliance troop body armor.

    Reavers:
Space pirates with a twist — the twist being they’re insane, torture and rape their captives, and practice cannibalism and self-mutilation.

    Michelle …

I just saw Congressman Scott (GA) on Fox News and he claims that it was not an Obamacare Meeting that was disrupted but rather a city of Douglasville, GA special town meeting. The meeting was concerning a government highway/freeway construction project that was going to displace something like 85 families by forcing them out of their homes so the homes could be torn down to build the subject road?

If this is really true then perhaps a few folks were out of line trying to change the topic of the meeting to the healthcare issue.

Can you get clarification on this for us?

Just wanting to get to the truth of the matter.

    Thanks.

Wow! Unfortunately my congressperson, Cash for Clunkers queen Betty Sutton won’t be having any public meetings during the recess. No reason given. If she does I certainly will attend and ask questions. Thanks to some wonderful doctors and some pioneering treatment I have full recovery from a heart ailment (DCM). I shudder to think how that would have turned out under Obama Care. BTW- DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy) is the leading cause of sudden death in men over 35. I am in fine health now, fit, and certainly not intimidated by the SEIU storm troopers.

the “fracas” in st louis was plain and simple an assault by a goon squad of the seiu, sent to the town hall meeting to crack heads and take names, and they did. they were inside intimidating and taking pictures of people, and they were outside calling people names and baiting them, and when that didn’t work, they attacked a guy. Mr Holder, when will you press hate crime charges against these seiu thugs?

The use of the color purple is symbolic…it is supposed to illustrate the merging of the left (blue), and red (right.) More propaganda, nothing more.

Michelle is right. The unions have never represented the best interests of it’s members. AFL-CIO has a history of corruption, violence, and thuggery, so the marriage of the unions and Obama is natural. The President does not have our best interests at heart.

Those who forget history, are doomed to repeat it. The socialist unions are inherently evil,e.g.; Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Democratic Socialist Party. This newest progressive adventure is simply an attempt to renew the association of socialist ideals, within a republic of free-thinking citizens, in order to limit liberty and dissent.

It will ultimately result in tyranny, then violent revolution…as history shows.
