Little girl at Obama town hall has not-so-random political connections
Scroll down for updates…

As we always like to point out: There are no coincidences in Obama world.
Via the Boston Globe: Surprise!
A girl from Malden asked President Obama a question at Tuesday’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire about the signs outside “saying mean things” about his health care proposal.
Eleven-year-old Julia Hall asked: “How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can — that help more of us?”
The question opened the door for the president to respond to what he called an “underlying fear” among the public “that people somehow won’t get the care they need.”
The girl later told the Globe that picking the president’s brain was “incredible.”
“It was like a once in a lifetime experience,” she said.
Julia’s mother was an early Obama supporter in Massachusetts during the presidential election, so she had previously met First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama daughters Sasha and Malia, and Vice President Joe Biden.
“This was my first time meeting Barack Obama, and he’s a very nice man,” Julia said. “I’m glad I voted for him.”
She said Obama won a mock presidential election at the Cheverus School in 2008. And on Tuesday, he approached her after the town meeting.
“He said ‘great question,’” Julia said. “I shook his hand and got his picture.”
Kathleen Manning Hall, Julia’s mother, was shocked when her daughter said she wanted to ask a question. They wrote it down beforehand, and Julia didn’t miss a beat when Obama called on her.
“It was surreal,” said Manning Hall, a coordinator of Massachusetts Women for Obama during the election.
Tons of readers point to this AR15.com post tracking Hall’s political footprint, including this Facebook page and photo:

Manning Hall has donated thousands of dollars to Obama, as has her law firm.
But, you know, um, like Obama said: “I don’t want people saying I just have a bunch of plants in here.”
Oh, goodness. Of course not.

Now, look for Dems to play the kiddie human shield card to the hilt. Anyone who mentions Hall’s political pedigree will be attacked as a vicious meanie stalker. Graeme Frost redux!

” I have been honored to work with Kathleen Manning Hall on the New England Finance and Steering Committee for Barack Obama for over a year. She has raised money, slogged through the snow in New Hampshire and has devoted every minute of her time toward electing Barack Obama President of the United States. She has not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. Please elect her as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention to vote for Barack Obama.”

Many of you know that I’ve been campaigning tirelessly for Senator Obama since last summer. I’ve spent much time on the ground in New Hampshire, traveled to Iowa, organized in Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and Maine, and I have made phone calls to voters in many other states. I’m part of the New England Steering Committee as well as a Coordinator for Massachusetts Women for Obama; in fact I am helping to organize a large group of MA WFO who will be traveling to Pennsylvania April 11-14.
I realized Barack Obama was a unique politician the first time I heard him speak, at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, where I was a volunteer. I was simply blown away by his inspirational message, and I continued to follow his career. In October, 2006 I attended a Kennedy Library event, where he indicated he was considering a run for the presidency. As soon as he announced his candidacy in February 2007, I was on board. I truly believe he has the necessary judgment and experience to be president, and that he is the only candidate who can inspire and bring real change to our country and restore America’s credibility and leadership around the world. I’m committed to doing everything I can to help him get elected president…

From reader Ricky: “I think everyone is missing the biggest point. We are in the middle of a most serious debate, why the hell is the President wasting everyone’s time fielding questions from an 11 year old? I am getting tired of this in our modern culture, the all wise and knowing child.”

Agreed, but that’s because they are pretty inept at everything they do.

OMG!!!
That Obama fella can’t get anything past yu guys.
I don’t see anything about health care on the Apollo Alliance website, stillontheroad.
Inept? I thought Obama was a product of the vaunted Chicago DemocRAT Machine! They supposedly wrote the book on crushing political opposition!

Liberals Literally Buying Support
One of the more frustrating refrains used by liberals looking to denigrate the popular outrage against ObamaCare is to dismiss the protests as “Astroturf” or the “Brooks Brothers Brigade.” Both suggest that opposition to socialized healthcare has been artificial or bought and paid for, that it’s not a genuine grassroots uprising, but “manufactured anger,” as the White House press secretary recently put it. Everybody knows that the Left has a lock on popular opinion, right? After all, Obama won the election, so you angry mobsters just need to sit down and stop talking!
The charge is patently false. In fact, the exact opposite is true. The Left has a history of using “rent-a-mobs” like ACORN’s “muscle for money” program. Now there is more proof that liberals are literally having to buy support for ObamaCare. Sunday, the RedState blog posted links to Craig’s List ads looking to hire activists to promote ObamaCare for $11-16 per hour. Meanwhile, Rich Lowry of the National Review writes that the drug industry has cut a deal with the Obama White House and will spend $150 million this summer on ads promoting ObamaCare. And we know the labor unions are spending millions on ads and turning out their supporters too.
With Big Labor and Big Business in bed with Big Government, it’s amazing this bill has been slowed down at all. But who is looking out for average Americans? You are! You are not being fooled by the double-talk and slick rhetoric. You know Big Government’s track record of wasteful spending and inefficient bureaucracy. And you don’t want it getting in the way of the healthcare you and your family need.
it’s a curse to have a memory. i remember prez allah (bbuh) at a fundraiser in san fran with the econuts prior to his being annointed where he told that audience that electric companies could continue to build coal powered plants, but cap and trade would bankrupt them. then he went to ohio and west virginia and said that was taken out of context and of course he would never screw his union working buddies digging coal. so coal workers union, how’s that obama cap and trade bill look to you now. how’s the global warming econuts crap which will force u.s. citizens to pay for worldwide pollution. looks to me like san fran nan got the gold, and you chumps got the shaft. hope and change.
That’s right Chap – inept. Even Capone ended up in prison. Everything passes. Obama’s tactics work until they don’t. I do not believe his Chicago DemocRAT machine which worked in the past will not serve him well in the long run and the fact that he tries to use these same tactics on a national level reflect how inept he is.
correction:
I do not believe his Chicago DemocRAT machine which worked in the past will
notserve him wellThanks for the compliment ILC. If you spend enough time around used car salesmen, you can pretty much figure out what Obama is up you.

Which country was that? We never did resolve the whole fraudulent fund raising by Obama did we? And you can bet the Democrats won’t do it. Is half the country still supporting him? Polling indicates otherwise.
Nor is there any indication that she wasn’t a shill, and circumstantial information as supplied by Michelle would indicate that, in fact, she was a shill, put up to it by her mother. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
What a crying shame that one of the very many Americans that don’t share your “very high opinion of Obama” didn’t get to come into the hall, much less ask a question.
Hmmm. “Shouting fat freaks”. Ad hominem attacks do not aid your position. Do you find “shouting fat freaks” only amongst conservative, or, as noted above, do any Democrats fit this bill? How about some of the union thugs “inspired” to attend town hall meetings and bust heads?
Geez louise! How stupid do these people think we are?
Obama lied and Granny died!
I’d like to see someone ask Obama:

Just what happens when a bill is sold or represented one way but the actual wording is something entirely different?
Learning Arizona would be a good title for the movie, and America will be next should the marketing deception of this Axlerod-Emanuel tag team staring Barack Obama sell enough congressional tickets
(the people don’t matter)
to cover up the cancerous innards and pronounce it academy award quality!
Hey, check this out:
Mysterious woman mouths the words as 11 year old asks question at Obama ‘town hall’
Could the woman be either Anita Dunn or Betsy Myers who both worked for Obama’s 2008 campaign? (I’m no good at comparing faces.) Myers is described on Wikipedia as Obama’s “chief operating officer.”
Why should insurance companies cover everything? How much is too much? Should experimental treatment or unproven drugs be covered as well?
Ever been on a medication waitlist under Tricare, the military health HMO? Have you ever received botched treatment at a VA hospital? Ever needed a translator like my military husband did when he couldn’t freaking understand a word the foreign doc was saying during an examination?
Did you hear about the poor airman who went in for gall bladder surgery and came out with two missing legs because the incompetent doctor accidentally severed an artery? Yeah, that’s top of the line medical care you can believe in. And that airman can’t sue for damages that will follow him the rest of his life!
There are many, many stories of fraud, abuse, waste, incompetence in the Tricare and VA and I’m sure many other military spouses and members can corroborate them. Is that the kind of healthcare system you want? Do you not understand that we have socialized medicine now with Tricare and the VA and IT AINT FREE?
The federal government promised its vets and retired military members they’d never have to pay for their healthcare but guess what? THEY LIED! You trust the same government with your healthcare?
Think hard, Jim. Try to work those brain cells, okay?
Striving for irrevelance once again, are we?
Congratulations.
Is your dog this smart?

I get the picture, too. Reid is saying he’ll make sure a bill is passed by the Senate, even if it’s one he knows is a lie. It will go to the conference, where the “real bill” will be hammered out with the House.
Emjem, perhaps you could start by not insulting me.
Both the VA insurance system and the private insurance system have red tape and botched operations. Both systems also regulate what procedures can be done and what medicines are covered under the insurance. Both systems have foreign doctors. And there are costs to both.
What’s your point, other than being p***ed off at the government?
Stillontheroad, some of the board members clearly have healthcare as a personal agenda, but I still don’t see anything on the apollo site saying that healthcare reform is an agenda of the apollo organization.
It is all of a piece, jim.
Control of your health care = control of virtually every aspect of your life.
A totalitarian dream of every totalitarian state since the late 1800s.
Or is this news to you?
Redpill, that happened in April of 2008, not 2009 and it related to contractors for the State Department having improperly accessed passport information for presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain.
So what does this have anything to do with “Obama lied”?
Perhaps, you should follow your own advice concerning your interactions with other posters. I know your work. Especially the little tit for tat over the thuggery in St. Louis that other posters pointed out to you.
Wow, there’s a leap in logic. Both systems are similar? I didn’t know that there were MEDICINE WAITLISTS in the private system? There’s a shocker- let’s notify Wallmart or the other private pharmacies. Wow, in the private system at least you can sue the doctor who botches your gall bladder surgery and severs an artery thereby leaving you without two good legs. In the military healthcare system, not so much.
It is not the norm to be importing foreign doctors, especially incompetent ones. I had a really good Indian ear, nose, and throat specialist growing up but he’s the exception from what my husband and I have become accustomed to. I don’t know if you know this but branches of the military like the Air Force have programs like COT (Commissioned Officer Training) or OTS (Officer Training School) that attract nurses and doctors. It helps that the military pays for doctors’ med school and training expenses. There is absolutely no excuse why my military husband should be seeing a foreign doctor. The military often attracts the bottom of the med school class and whatever they don’t attract they’ll fill in with less qualified doctors from other countries.
BTW, do you not have a problem with the government’s promises of free healthcare to its military? Or the continued disengenousness by multiple administrations about whether Tricare premiums would be raised to offset growing costs (premiums have been raised).
The fact is, the military, as a whole, has a lousy healthcare system that doesn’t attract the best doctors. Not so with the private sector. Yes, there are incompetents in each system, but I’ve had to deal with less headaches, hassles, and inconvenience in the private sector than in the military one.
You should really try to thoroughly research the military healtchare system rather than overrely on simplistic, naive notions of what you think you know about it. Many Americans don’t know jack about what military families encounter with Tricare and the military healthcare system. They think that their tax dollars are hard at work when they’re being wasted through fraud, abuse, and inefficiency. This is a a government healthcare system. Not the private sector.
I guess when you’ve been made promises by the federal government and they break them you’d be ticked off too. When Tricare loses your records and treats your private information shoddily and you have to get multiple credit reports and security alerts on all your accounts you’d be ticked off too. When you can’t get your medication because the system is either overloaded or not well-organized, you’d be ticked off too. When the military can’t properly prepare itself for continuting rotations of medical staff deployments and instead use foreign doctors to fill the void and still provide inadequate care, you’d be ticked off too.
You simply have no clue what the average military spouse, family, or member has had to deal with concerning the VA and Tricare. And you never will. Because you don’t deal with it and neither do most of the unknowing American public.
Why don’t you get YOUR facts straight before lecturing ME about what YOU don’t really know?
Self-edit: third to last paragraph I meant to type continuing. Yikes where’s the spell check?
What? jim m get her facts straight? She’s too busy still trying to figure out her Daisy pellet rifle so she can defend herself at the next town hall.
“one more pump…..!”
Most of the Nazi references I hear have been from the Left. So what’s the point?
Meanwhile back at the original post…
Jim M a “her”? Not a chance, SHoward.
Emjem24, what did the US Government give you or husband in writing about medical care? I remember the same issue being raised by unions and retirees about how they were “promised” free medical care. It turned out in many instances to not be a iron-clad promise, because the written documents specifically said the plans were subject to change.
