I’ll hum with you Michelle. That parody is excellent.
Year before last I sent a package containing $300 worth of clothing to the Philippines. I insured the package with the U.S. Postal Service, and kept all of my receipts for the merchandise. The package never arrived. After submitting ALL of the proper paperwork (insurance claim) with all of the receipts, and arguing with Post Office officials both on the telephone and in person on numerous occasions, those fascist reprobates NEVER DID honor the insurance. All they did was refund my postage. Needless to say, I keep my dealings with them to an absolute minimum these days, and I use FedEx and UPS whenever I have the option to do so.
My collie says:
Does this mean that if Obamacare goes through, we will have disgruntled medical workers? That thought is frightening! I mean, at least postal workers aren’t issued scalpels!
very funny indeed…Wasn’t the original song done by the Vandellas around 1963?
Your Collie is smarter than you realize!
19th century socialists wanted all of society run like the Post Office — they thought is was a reasonable, attainable, and most of all moral goal. Obama was possibly thinking of them when he gave his answer. I suspect, but do not know, that he is fairly conversant with the thinking of the founding monsters of socialism. He does not appear to be that conversant with what their ideas resulted in. Then again, perhaps he is.
In any event, he could have clarified himself thusly: “Look, the Post Office is not run efficiently in terms of economics, but who cares about economic efficiency? Everyone is treated the same at the post office. Nobody cares what your race or status is — you all get the same service. It is true social equality, which is what we all want. Right? So when you think about it, the Post Office is what we should strive for in medical care as well. What could possible be more fair?”
oops it was the ‘Marvellettes’ that did it..
So lets see…The post office is thinking about discontinuing Saturday service to cut costs. Does this mean that to cut costs under Obamacare there will be no medical treatment on Saturdays?
In the real old days, not that I would have any first hand experience, there used to be twice a day mail deliveries. The trend in cutting back services in socialized enterprises is certain to continue.
Watching Michelle “Rock the House” on Hannity.
Talk about a Liberal beat down. She is definiately on her game.
SWEET! ! ! !
It was THE MARVELETTES and the Beatles did a darn good version of it as well..As did the Carpenters.

Excellent comments Michelle.
You went in to have your appendix removed. You went out with a sex change.
I think it should be: Obamadoesnotcare. Or ObamaCAIR. Or YouonlythinkObamaCares.
The ONLY mail that I receive that is not junk is Birthday cards from my grandmothers. Every bill is paid through automatic deposit and I do not write hand written letters anymore. I would say can the post office, but then I am sure I would be called racist because not all inner city people have access to the internet for these purposes. Only 60″ TVs.
This is Government health care: As seen through Mr. Bean episode.

Take a number please and wait in the emergency room!
Once again, a gaffe is when a politician unintentionally tells the truth.
When you are old under Obamacare they will stamp you Return To Sender and be done with you.
Obama is too stupid to know when he’s telling the truth, when he’s actually trying to pull the wool over our eyes. I swear, the man is a colossal moron. The mere notion that such a glittering jewel of immense ignorance is the most powerful man in the world is terrifying.
I think this whole program will come up Postage Due. Just wondering if anyone will have the money to pay for it.
They will have 4 sizes of coffins. Whatever fits ina particular size will be what you are charged. They will even send them to you in advance and pick them up for free–except on Saturday and Sunday.

The Post Office is still important to many people. In Flushing, New York, there is a large post office that is scheduled to be closed. This has caused all sorts of anxiety to the Flushing community, which is primarily Asian and depends upon the USPS for sending documents and goods back East.
I ship to Europe and Asia, and USPS is much cheaper than Fedex or UPS.
Just caught our hostess on Hannity, best reason I can think of to watch his show…ok, off now she gone.
WOW, she is brilliant and beautiful, Mr.Malkin you are one lucky guy, no doubt your quite the gentleman yourself to have caught her.
the problem with Obamacare is there is no health care.
If the gov hadn’t passed a law which forbids competition for 1st class mail, the post office would have been gone long ago. Nothing like a bunch of “can’t be fired gov employees” mucking up a business. Private companies can’t afford to hire people who work in slow motion.
No!
It means they will go “medical” every now and then due to the fact they either aren’t working anymore or are not being paid like they used to be.
Yup. This reminds me of the Post office located on Hoyt Avenue…They slower than my digestive track.
That Klingon singing lead vocals for the Marvelettes has Michelle’s biceps.
Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, that is.
The Hoyt Avenue Post Office located in Everett, WA., I should say has been slower than my digestive track when it comes to customer service FOR YEARS.
Of all the weapons one can use to attack something as arrogant and wrong as Obanacare, ridicule is probably the most potent.
When we get through with healthcare I’m imagining a remix of the Beatles’ song “When I’m 64″ to address Social Security, taxes and Medicare
How ’bout?
Or, how about this one:
Maxwell Edison, majoring in medicine,
Calls her on the phone.
“Can I take you out to the pictures,
Joa, oa, oa, oan?”
But as she’s getting ready to go,
A knock comes on the door.
Bang! Bang! Maxwell’s silver hammer
Came down upon her head.
Bang! Bang! Maxwell’s silver hammer
Made sure that she was dead.
I can’t take credit for this, but since we are talking remixing songs, these are a hoot!

this crap has been tried by states as different as massachussetts, tennessee, and oregon. all have gone wildly overbudget which then leads to rationing via “take two aspirins and call me 7 months from now” and in oregon’s case that state beaurocrat just says “no we won’t pay for your chemo, but we will pay for your blue pills.” (see story on homepage of fox nation. com). no nation on earth is rich enough to pay for healthcare for all, as the definition of healthcare is as elusive as the definition of rich. i may define healthcare as immunization shots when young and checkups when middle aged and hospitalization when old and sick, while another may define healthcare as an oncall hospital full of specialists who checkout every whim of a hypochondriac and multiple person schizophrenic.
I just came across a website while researching how the elderly are cared for by other cultures…today and in the past. I found this website which has links to other world documents regarding the Rights of the Aged.. all journalists and opponents of Obamacare need to read this rights and explain them fully to the administration that has taken control of our lives.
It is an activist group for human rights…around the world… I’m guessing the US doesn’t count in the opinion of the ‘progressives’ but the ideology for the rights of individual human beings applies to all. And I quote from their website page on The rights of the Aging:
Look at the links to the UN

Thank you for the great Marvelette’s PLEASE MR. POSTMAN song–brings back a lot of memories.

It also shows why racists and those who denigrate people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds are wrong headed.

The skills of ALL AMERICANS in many different areas shines through in the old movie of the Marvelettes singing. And in the other Black (and other) People who amazed us with what they could do and did do.

I just told a USPS employee their service was why government health care was a VERY BAD idea: I am active duty military moving to AZ. I went into the USPS to get a PO Box in AZ to forward my mail and was told I could do it all online. Found out I could pay for a PO Box in AZ no problem but they will not give me the actual number of the box until I arrive and provide ID. (You do not find this out until the transaction is complete). So I paid for a box I could not use WHEN I need to use it most. That sounds like what they have in mind for health care alright.
