I just told a USPS employee their service was why government health care was a VERY BAD idea: I am active duty military moving to AZ. I went into the USPS to get a PO Box in AZ to forward my mail and was told I could do it all online. Found out I could pay for a PO Box in AZ no problem but they will not give me the actual number of the box until I arrive and provide ID. (You do not find this out until the transaction is complete). So I paid for a box I could not use WHEN I need to use it most. That sounds like what they have in mind for health care alright.

***
Thank you for the great Marvelette's PLEASE MR. POSTMAN song--brings back a lot of memories.
***
It also shows why racists and those who denigrate people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds are wrong headed.
***
The skills of ALL AMERICANS in many different areas shines through in the old movie of the Marvelettes singing. And in the other Black (and other) People who amazed us with what they could do and did do.
***
Dr. Martin Luther King, the brave protesters in the freedom marches, the Tuskogee Airmen, etc. Good Americans all.

I just came across a website while researching how the elderly are cared for by other cultures...today and in the past. I found this website which has links to other world documents regarding the Rights of the Aged.. all journalists and opponents of Obamacare need to read this rights and explain them fully to the administration that has taken control of our lives.

It is an activist group for human rights...around the world... I'm guessing the US doesn't count in the opinion of the 'progressives' but the ideology for the rights of individual human beings applies to all. And I quote from their website page on The rights of the Aging:

<blockquote>"demographic trends create unique challenges for all people, particularly for the governments of nation-states around the globe. Elderly individuals are often subject to discrimination and <em>There is also a prevalent belief among many that elderly persons are worthless in today’s fast-paced, globalized and increasingly industrialized world. </em>abuse because they are perceived as easily taken advantage of. Obviously, with the number of elderly people on earth at any one time rising rapidly, there is an increased urgency to address the rights and roles of elderly persons in our world.</blockquote>

Look at the links to the UN

this crap has been tried by states as different as massachussetts, tennessee, and oregon. all have gone wildly overbudget which then leads to rationing via "take two aspirins and call me 7 months from now" and in oregon's case that state beaurocrat just says "no we won't pay for your chemo, but we will pay for your blue pills." (see story on homepage of fox nation. com). no nation on earth is rich enough to pay for healthcare for all, as the definition of healthcare is as elusive as the definition of rich. i may define healthcare as immunization shots when young and checkups when middle aged and hospitalization when old and sick, while another may define healthcare as an oncall hospital full of specialists who checkout every whim of a hypochondriac and multiple person schizophrenic.

Or, how about this one:

Maxwell Edison, majoring in medicine,
Calls her on the phone.
"Can I take you out to the pictures,
Joa, oa, oa, oan?"

But as she's getting ready to go,
A knock comes on the door.

Bang! Bang! Maxwell's silver hammer
Came down upon her head.
Bang! Bang! Maxwell's silver hammer
Made sure that she was dead.

When we get through with healthcare I'm imagining a remix of the Beatles' song "When I'm 64" to address Social Security, taxes and Medicare

<blockquote>When I get old and losing my hair,
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me the Valentine,
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine</blockquote>

How 'bout?

<blockquote>When I get old and losing my health,
Just a few years from now.
With my teeth and hair either gone or loose,
Will you still be taxing my carbon-use?</blockquote>
