Selective outrage of the MSM
Bill Sammon points out what I reported on at length in my “Assassination Chic” chapter of Unhinged and in years of my Unhinged blog archives: Journalists don’t care about nutballs and extremely extreme extremists unless they can be used to embarrass conservatives.
As it has always been:
News outlets that are focusing on the incendiary rhetoric of conservatives outside President Obama’s town hall meeting Tuesday ignored the incendiary rhetoric — and even violence — of liberals outside an appearance by former President George W. Bush in 2002.
When Bush visited Portland, Ore., for a fundraiser, protesters stalked his motorcade, assailed his limousine and stoned a car containing his advisers. Chanting “Bush is a terrorist!”, the demonstrators bullied passers-by, including gay softball players and a wheelchair-bound grandfather with multiple sclerosis.
One protester even brandished a sign that seemed to advocate Bush’s assassination. The man held a large photo of Bush that had been doctored to show a gun barrel pressed against his temple.
“BUSH: WANTED, DEAD OR ALIVE,” read the placard, which had an X over the word “ALIVE.”
Another poster showed Bush’s face with the words: “F— YOU, MOTHERF—ER!”
A third sign urged motorists to “HONK IF YOU HATE BUSH.” A fourth declared: “CHRISTIAN FASCISM,” with a swastika in place of the letter S in each word.
Although reporters from numerous national news organizations were traveling with Bush and witnessed the protest, none reported that protesters were shrieking at Republican donors epithets like “Slut!” “Whore!” and “Fascists!”
Frank Dulcich, president and CEO of Pacific Seafood Group, had a cup of liquid thrown into his face, and then was surrounded by a group of menacing protesters, including several who wore masks. Donald Tykeson, 75, who had multiple sclerosis and was confined to a wheelchair, was blocked by a thug who threatened him.
Protesters slashed the tires of several state patrol cruisers and leapt onto an occupied police car, slamming the hood and blocking the windshield with placards. A female police officer was knocked to the street by advancing protesters, badly injuring her wrist.

I plan on going to a town hall next week to see my Rep. it’s going to be extremely difficult for me, since I do not take threats and aggressive actions towards me or anyone in a very non-reactive way.

If we just accept the fact that the MSM is the propaganda arm of the left and a collective shill for Obama, all else is self explanatory. One should never expect them to be fair or balanced and they simply must be countered at every turn.

Having a conversation with many people on the left, is like trying to discuss something with a small child. They use emotion, rather than logic, to push their opinions. If it sounds good, it must be good. That’s their only logic. When yelling and interrupting doesn’t work, then they start insulting. When you give up in disgust, they think they’ve won. They don’t realize the only thing they’ve “won” is a badge marking them as stupid.

Not that it hasn’t been said but I haven’t heard one conservative on radio or TV person take a stand that we don’t know whether the disruptors of these town halls are really conservatives/tea party people. I’m referring to remarks about guns being carried into meetings, Drudges image of the swastika sprayed on a sign outside a politician’s office, death threats called in to congressman Dennis Moore’s office.

The selective outrage from the MSM is because they are trying to demonize the competition. (That would be freedom-loving people.) They want us to sit down and shut up and “play by the rules”. Well, it seem some people like the Tea Party and Townhall citizens are tired of playing by the rules.

When you have Brian Williams and Charlie Gibson, who needs plants? Williams was such a lapdog in his “A day with President Obama” program that Williams even volunteered to carry Obama’s burgers and fries from the hamburger joint because Williams fretted that the grease might stain Obama’s shirt. You can’t get much more sycophantic than that. Williams even bowed to Obama when Williams finished the program. Regarding the “Bush is a terrorist” thing, remember, there is that nuclear weapons protest in front of the White House, been there since 1981, which has a picture of Bush as an Islamic terrorist, and calls him such. I saw a clip of Chris (tingle) Matthews the other day. He was asking one of his guests, “What percentage of these people who are screaming at the town hall meetings do you think just can’t stand the thought of having a black president?” The guest answered with something like, “A very large percent”. I don’t remember the exact words. But it was disgusting, to say the least. Yes, these people need to be taken down a peg or two. But their ratings are already in the toilet. Soon, they will need a bailout. And they will get it.

Have you ever noticed, the more liberals hate someone or the angrier liberals get about something someone says, the more truth their there is in what that someone is saying?
I have known people like Roxana my whole life. Democrats who would say or use anything to entrench themselves and those around them in power.
One of my best friends growing up was just this way. He got a city job greased for himself in a small town, with help from his state job holding drunk father and school teacher union mother. He then proceeded for the next 3 decades to attempt to influence every thing he could.
He never tired of the game, he prattered on about every supposed republican evil in the world. If only everyone would just give up and agree with him, the world would run so much smoother.
All the while he used drugs, sold drugs, traded in stolen goods and traded information for influence. I could go on but at some point it would just seem mean. There is a lot more.
He died a few years back from a drug overdose, all his lackeys called it a heart failure. Of course anyone who spoke the truth was just an awful person.
They named a small city park after him. I would not let my children play there. This man had no bottom to the depth of his depravity, now he is a hero.

I do too. A conservative leaning talk show in the area has referred to this threat quite a bit (and correction: not death threat, just so far a ‘threat’). Not one time did I hear the idea that the threat could be either bogus or coming from a lib/progressive plant.

For the record, I mentioned “heat-packing” in my previous post (#43). I live in CA, not NH, so I hope that no one associates me with that guy. My guns are in their safe to be used only if someone breaks into my home or when the fit hits the shan.
Just keep refusing their services (end subscriptions, change channels, refuse to do business with associations) and they will die of their own momentum. I refuse to watch movies starring Penn, Sarandon, Robbins, Clooney, etc and I do not miss them one iota. It may or may not have an impact but I will NOT support those who are my enemy. Remember, it was in vogue to be a communist in Hollywood until they started losing their gigs.
The MSM anchors are all reading from the same script, using the same words, highlighting the exact same things on every newscast–all negative about the conservatives and independents showing up at town hall meetings. How can anyone with a lick of sense believe anything they see and hear on network news (except Fox 360)

Well, it seemed that Obama & his cronies had developed an August strategy to demonize and ridicule anyone who opposed their plan in these town Halls. It was a very insidious strategy and carefully planned and orchestrated with help from the propaganda MSM. The looked to have some momentum when thats all you saw were the evil mob shouting and being uncivil.
Then Obama has his own town hall to show that the mob was not the norm and that regular citizens support him. I was concerned that they seized the momentum and it was going to carry the day and the month so when they get back, they will easily vote in the health care debacle.
However, the attacks on these old people and concerned citizens calling them swastika , astrotruf, right wing agitators and the Obama plant question from the little girl seemed to have gone overboard and backfired.
Now they seem to have regrouped with a “people have the right to speak their mind but they must be civil about it like me.” approach.
They are losing the momentum now. People are seeing through the charade. Ordinary Americans that would never have the audacity to come to a meeting and speak truth to power are now engaged and fighting for their rights.
Still, we need to convince many Senators and House members that voting for this bill will be their political death knell. They have been threatened by Pelosi. It’s time they see the threat from the people.
We have a long way to go and we are still on the losing end of this deal but I am gaining some confidence. All these Obama lovers are waking to the truth that Obama does not have their best interests in mind but his own.
They are still not listening.

I depend on my own personal research, and always have. In a more basic way, if it doesn’t feel right, or if I have doubts, I trust myself first and foremost. My gut has always steered me right, guided my sense of fair-play, helped me make good sensible decisions, and most importantly saved my life innumerable times.
Ronald Reagan had political vision, but he viewed things with a skeptical eye, and as The world leader, had protocol to follow. His famous statement regarding the USSR, “Trust, but VERIFY!” is a great example of discrimination. Personally, I believe he felt, “I don’t expect anything bad to happen, but I sure DO have a plan if it does.” In other words, I don’t trust them as far as I could throw them, but I’ll give them a chance to prove their worth, or to get enough rope to hang themselves.
Obama, his circle of jerks off, the media, ACORN, SEIU and other unions, have already provided their ropes. They’ve already gone to far to expect a credible oath of repentence. The degree and percentage of recidivism, as it relates to socialism, is too great for me to give them another “chance” to destroy my country.

Back in the 80s when Ronald Reagan visited Duke University, a large banner was hung on a dorm building facing the presumed motorcade route. The banner said, “Hinckley had a vision.”
Although certainly not an authorized expression of official Duke sentiment, this incident was striking because the banner was displayed so prominently on a university building. The administration never issued any public apology or repudiation of this bit of “assassination chic.” (I guess you have to be a cynic like me to suppose that the faculty and the general Duke community found this incident amusing and had no clue how deeply offensive it was.)

BTW, considering the stupidity involved, I’d go 50/50 chance anybody displaying a “DEATH TO OBAMA” sign in public is a Demonratic plant.
Many Republicans are religious. Not talking Gaia worship, either. Most Demonrats are godless.
When “the ends justify the means” and “do as thou whilst” sum up a person’s moral code, they will stoop to any level of deceit and trachery.
Hence the fake doctors, ‘random’ school girls with written questions who mother’s just happen to be important enough Obama volunteers to be photographed with Obama, etc.
I would say the chances are more like 99% that it is a liberal. Those of us who are angry and speaking out about the travesty of this administration would not be dumb enough to sabbotage our cause by doing something that stupid. Those are the tactics of the left. Dishonest, corrupt, lying crapweasels. We all know that. But the msm continues to report these incidents like they actually were perpetrated by the Mobs (that would be us). We need to get names of the people who have those signs and expose them!!
