As long as there are a few people who don’t believe he is pushing socialism he will have to keep misspeaking. When he thinks he is fooling no-one he will be able to stop misspeaking and talk truthfully to the socialists among us. Then and only then will we be able to determine if there are more of them than of us.

In a way, I kinda miss Bill Clinton.

He was so much more artful in his dishonesty; when I learned how to discern a prevarication from an ordinary lie, for example, it was Bubba who schooled me.

Not so with Hope-a-Dope and his crew. So very clumsy, they have only a fraction of Clinton’s talent for disingenuousness:

1. The Standard Whopper (e.g., “Nobody making less than $250,000 a year will see their taxes increased”);

2. The Pirouette Whopper (e.g., “I haven’t raised anyone’s taxes” right after authorizing a massive tax increase on tobacco); and

3. The Mega-Whopper (e.g., anything following the preparatory phrase, “Now let me be clear…”).

I say we retire the man in 2012, and give him a job he can handle: a Burger King franchise.

This Miss speak is just crap and usually planned. They can do their “propaganda” and then say they misspoke. It is the same when a newspaper puts in a retraction. The damage or gain is already done and the retraction is put back on page( you name it) where no one pays attention. They know their gain was more than they lost when they “misspoke”.

Vets have actually earned it. And they better not forget it. I have found, through personal experiance, that the VA can indeed be a slow ponderous Govt. agency. But it is not like the DMV or anything else. Go to a VA hospital and you will find that nearly every employee who is directly involved with vets is really caring, from cleaning staff to head administrators. It is when you go outside the clinic and hospital environment that you seem to find the really screwed up ones.

Congress does this all the time. Listen to them around budget time when they start talking about “entitlements”. VA health care and disability compensation is considered by them to be an ENTITLEMENT, the same as some welfare queen getting her monthly check.

I have heard this for many years, and it is always disgusting.

our last dem president had “bimbo eruptions” when he would get caught with his pen in the wrong place. this dem pres “misspoke” when he gets gaught in an out and out lie. if that blue dress had not fallen out from under bill’s secretaries bed, monica would still be a vast right wing conspiracy to smear po ole bill. the same way as if those axelrod emails hadn’t been turned in to fox by citizens who smelled something fishy in getting them, the white house would still be telling us and congrass it was all just an innocent misunderstanding.
