“All wee-weed up” and nowhere to go

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 20, 2009 07:06 PM

Is this some Chicago phrase I don’t know about?

Is it just a nonsensical scatalogical reference?

Is this the teleprompter’s fault?

Maybe it’s some sort of SEIU code phrase?

Or is it a Hawaiian thing?

Can someone clue the unwashed masses in, please?

Via The Hill:

President Obama is betting on a more successful September than August, when it comes to his bid for healthcare reform.

At an online forum on healthcare held Thursday at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Obama drew on his own political experience to predict better fortunes next month.

“There’s something about August going into September where everyone in Washington gets all ‘wee-weed’ up,” the president said.

Wha-what?

I got it! When Congress goes on August recess, all the officials head off to their districts to brag about what they’ve done in Washington, the same way that a toddler might saunter out of the bathroom and announce to his mother that he just used the potty.

And, just like toddlers, the odds are pretty good that the pols have made a mess of things.

My, my. Feisty today and still no answer as to what it means. You can’t admit that you don’t know, either? If a significant majority of the people listening do not know what a speaker means, whose fault is that? The listeners?

You act as if “wee-weed” is proper English. It’s clearly not. He was aiming for some colloquialism and it sounded ridiculous coming from the POTUS.

Wipe the froth from your mouth. You made fun of Bush’s gaffes (rightly so on many occasions). Don’t get so wound up about this. Chapoutier acknowledged it without getting all bent out of shape defending Obama.

After passing fubar legislation this spring and contemplating passing possibly the worst piece of legislation ever devised, Congress is “pi$$ing in their pants” at having to face an enraged electorate. Perhaps the president felt it would be even less presidential to say; “pi$$ing in their pants” than it was to say “all wee-weed up”. It certainly was a lot more fun!

“It’s a phrase I use,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today, hesitating at his press briefing to offer a physical demonstration of the phraseology.

“Let’s do this in a way that’s family friendly,” Gibbs said. “I think ‘wee-weed up’ is when people get all nervous for no particular reason….

“Bedwetting would probably be the more consumer-friendly term for it,” the press secretary said.

Note that Gibbs is claiming that the phrase originated with him.

    wee-weed up

A nonsensical phrase used by a politician that is imploding over the failure of his/her policies. The phrase replaces nonsensical phrases uttered by his/her predecessor that showed his/her ignorance.

At an online forum on healthcare held Thursday at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Obama drew on his own political experience to predict better fortunes next month.

A simple review of the top of this thread will tell you that Michelle did not say what he meant: she simply asked what it meant, particularly in light of the fact that this alleged orator should know better than to use terms the audience is not familiar with (and lacks any semblance of class).

I think it is you that is all “wee wee’d up” as you watch your president crash and burn.

lgm, if Obama apologizes to someone in Austria because he doesn’t know the proper “AUSTRIAN” term for something, then are we to assume that he doesn’t know that Austrian isn’t a LANGUAGE? If he calls his grandmother a a “typical White person,” are we to assume that he thinks in a manner that makes think of people according to the color of their skin–excluding him as being the “post-racial” leader that you were made to believe that he is?

So, when he speaks like this, as president of the United States of America, does that NOT make him look extremely UN-PRESIDENTIAL? When he reverts to his vulgar street vernacular when he’s addressing people, does that not show his incredible lack of decorum and intelligence?

Everything that YOUR party (the only thing that matters to you) says that Obama was is 180 degrees out-of-phase. The man ISN’T a genius–he’s the exact opposite. He ISN’T a “great orator,” he’s a fumble-mouthed nit-wit. The man knows NOTHING about how to run ANYTHING, and yet people like YOU have put him in charge of EVERYTHING.

If there is but a trace of intelligence and honesty in you, you will eventually acknowledge that choosing Obama as your president was a HORRIBLE mistake, and you’ll hope that your party moves to have him removed in your nominating process in 2012. It will be your only hope of winning.

Here’s something that I’ll give Obama credit–he’s a GREAT actor. It takes a LOT of effort on his part, but when he’s “on,” he can make you believe that he’s actually a sensible, intelligent person, who has a lot of empathy and charisma. However, when his guard is down, and he’s HIMSELF, he becomes the race-baiting, thuggish child that he is.
