President Obama is betting on a more successful September than August, when it comes to his bid for healthcare reform.
At an online forum on healthcare held Thursday at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Obama drew on his own political experience to predict better fortunes next month.
“There’s something about August going into September where everyone in Washington gets all ‘wee-weed’ up,” the president said.

After reading several write ups on this, I have a theory:
Remember when Al Gore went to the Black church and tried to speak to the congregation like he was a Baptist minister giving a fire and brimstone sermon? Remember how freakin’ completely stupid he came off (even more so than usual)?
Well, I think Obama is trying to sound more like a “street guy”. I’ve never heard anyone use the term “wee wee” who is over the age of five unless they are joking around so, I could be wrong but, looking at some of the other phrases he used, it looks to me like he is trying to come off as “street”. Whatever that means.

The beauty of watching the Dems in general and Obama in specific spiral downward in the polls is the added observation that the GOP is not benefiting. The latest polls show that GOP approval has remained unchanged since the election. But, and this is the key, more and more people identify as being conservative.
That is where Palin’s vow to campaign for conservatives from any party will weaken both parties while strengthening House conservatives to act independent of their party leadership.
After 2010, we many not have two defacto parties but it may not matter. Washington may very well be divided into those warring against voters versus those defending voters.
