Snort: Axelrod to lecture on “Integrity in Public Service”

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 20, 2009 10:13 AM

Oh, this should be good. Nebraska readers, let me know if you can attend. I’m sure Axelrod will offer many illuminating thoughts on transparency, disclosure, conflicts of interest, and the corrupting influence of Eeeeevil Drug Companies on policy debates.

When pigs fly:

David Axelrod, senior advisor to President Obama, will speak in Lincoln on Oct. 9 as part of the Integrity in Public Service Lecture Series.

Axelrod, 54, was a key strategist in Obama’s presidential victory and served as the senior advisor for the administration’s transitional team.

Axelrod has a long history of managing media and communications for politicians. In 2006, he was part of a campaign that helped Democrats regain the majority in Congress. That same year, he served as media advisor to Deval Patrick, who became Massachusetts’s first Democratic governor in 16 years and the state’s first African-American governor…

…His appearance in Lincoln will be free to the public, but organizers advise that seating is limited. The lecture will be at the Nebraska Champions Club on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the lecture begins at 6 p.m.

And this differs from the Democrats trash talking the economy for years (even when they controlled the pursestrings after 2006) and essentially tanking it (out of political expedience and ignorance of economics) how?

Or Obama back loading the “stimulus” package so most of the money comes on line (wait for it….) during the 2010 elections.

Democrats can’t have double standards when they have no standards at all.
