Corporate Shills for Hope and Change

My syndicated column today spotlights Lecturer-on-Integrity-in-Public-Service David Axelrod. Background on other Obama corporate shilling for hope and change here, here, here, and here.
It’s enough to get you all wee-weed up over the Culture of Corruption!

Corporate Shills for Hope and Change

Money from pharmaceutical firms and health care companies is dirty, evil, and corrupting – except when key members of Team Obama are pocketing it. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs derides grass-roots opponents of socialized health care as industry-funded lackeys with questionable motives and conflicts of interest. But what about the corporate shills at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
Two weeks ago, the White House embraced $150 million in drug industry ads supporting Obamacare. This week, Bloomberg News reported that White House senior adviser and chief campaign strategist David Axelrod’s former public relations firm, AKPD Message and Media, has raked in some $24 million in ad contracts supporting Obamacare – along with another p.r. firm, GMMB, run by other Obama strategists.
The ads are funded by Big Pharma, the AARP, AMA, and the powerhouse Services Employees International Union (whose Purple Shirts dumped $80 million in independent expenditures to get Obama and the Democrat majority elected). In trademark Axelrod-ian style, the special interest coalition adopted faux grass-roots names – first under the banner of “Healthy Economy Now” and more recently as “Americans for Stable Quality Care.”
Because, well, “Corporate Shills for Hope and Change” doesn’t have quite the same ring of authenticity.
Astroturf master Axelrod was president and sole shareholder of AKPD from 1985 until last December, when he resigned to take his White House position. His son, Michael, works there. So does former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe. Axelrod is prominently featured on AKPD’s website, from a founder’s quote on the front page (“CHANGE IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR”) to the glamorous election night photos of Plouffe and Axelrod with the Obamas. AKPD still consults with Axelrod on “strategy and research” for the Democratic National Committee. The firm owes Axelrod $2 million, due in annual installments of $350,000, $650,000, $400,000 and $600,000.
That Axelrod and his old firm benefit mutually from their respective roles selling Obamacare should be gobsmackingly obvious. Axelrod pushes the White House plan on TV news shows. AKPD derives mega-income from ad contracts selling the White House-endorsed plan. The windfall allows AKPD to settle its debts with Axelrod, whose name, face, and high-powered ties are critical to future wheel-greasing for AKPD — and future salary-earning for Axelrod’s son and close associates.
White House flack Gibbs called any suggestion that Axelrod benefits from the relationship “ridiculous.” Retorted Gibbs: “David has left his firm to join public service.” So when Republicans trade power and access, Team Obama calls that being “in cahoots” with business. But when noble servants like Axelrod do it, it’s called “public service.”
What else is Axelrod keeping from full public view? AKPD is just one of his influence-peddling operations. Housed in the same office as AKPD is Axelrod’s secretive former p.r. shop, ASK Public Strategies. The firm also owes Axelrod money from a buy-out deal — five annual installments of $200,000 each. Axelrod has remained notoriously tight-lipped about ASK’s corporate business.
One client that came to light: utility company Commonwealth Edison in Chicago. Axelrod ran a fear-mongering campaign in Illinois for ComEd in support of a huge utility rate hike—and failed to disclose that his bogus grass-roots ads (under the guise of a public-interest group, “Consumers Organized for Reliable Electricity”) were actually funded by the utility. ComEd employees also pitched in nearly $182,000 in contributions to the Obama presidential campaign, by the way – more than any other company in the state, according to Business Week.
What other corporate clients have hired ASK that may be benefiting from their ties to Axelrod right now? Axelrod has grown accustomed to subverting sunlight while claiming to serve “progressive” values. It’s time for Obama’s corporate-funded hypocrites to pay more than lip service to transparency. But as the sanctimonious Axelrod lectures on AKPD’s website:
“Change is never easy.”

Just another Government mule.
Axelrod lecturing on Integrity in Public Service: “Once you lose integrity, the rest is a piece of cake!”
(lecture over)
Unless there is criminal wrong doing, there is nothing that will happen, because the media will provide with cover. So nothing to be gained there.
However, if they can be caught with their hands in the cookie jar……
Glad you didn’t say Gov’t Mule – wouldn’t want to insult Warren Haynes and the others….
BTW, does the appearance of this dangerous hypocrite in the photo above remind anyone else of the little moustached guy who would sweep up after the parade of history in the old “Peabody’s Improbable History” (yes, Mr. Peabody and Sherman and the Wayback Machine), part of “Rocky and Bullwinkle”?
if it weren’t for obama surrounding himself with crooks, cheats and scoundrels, this administration would be carter II. but this group combines the incompetence of carter with the bullying crooked scum of the johnson whitehouse.
Professor Terguson: Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think. I’m gonna be watching you.
Cheddar, you are definitely such a High Brow RINO-type “intellectual” that you’re not worth my time.
Way OT but must see video that needs to go viral! OMG!!!

^^ oops forgot strong language warning^^
Try this:
Close your eyes and imagine all beltway politicians and lobbyists as pigs, wallowing in a pile of tax dollars as feed. There you go – a hog farm, complete with a stink cloud.
There is no point wrestling with pigs. You get covered in mud, and the pigs enjoy it.
We have to keep pounding away on the struggle between ideas, where the right (the individual owns his own body/labor/property by either Divine Right or Natural Law) is right and the left (the individual is the property of the collective/State) is wrong. That is their weakness. That is where we can defeat them.
BTW, has anyone else noticed the left/right spectrum got flipped since the American Revolution? It used to be the State, represented by the Royalty, owned everyone. Those who supported that arrangement were considered the political ‘right.’ Those denying the Divine Right of the State to command our bodies and determine our fates were considered the ‘left.’ Now it is exactly the opposite.
This Admin is just a high level gang, like the Crips or Bloods on Steroids.
I can’t quibble with any of this, except, I’m no RINO. I’m sorry if I disappoint you. Here’s a key to the weep locker and a sympathy chit from the Chaplain.
I’ve been trying to think of who he reminds me of for a while now and I think that might be it.
Or maybe it’s Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons.
He’ll gladly pay you Thursday, for a hamburger today.
I alway love the way MSM throws around Communist/Iranian “conservatives” are same as Tea Parties. Is that the same way Cheddar thinks of us ‘common folks’ too?
Shocking is right but, not entirely unexpected. Leftists accusing whites of being n@#&%@s. La Raza, no racial hatred here.
good… good you’re getting it…
but there’s alot more here folks…
layers upon layers stretching back for decades upon decades.
i’m no fan of Flynt, and less so Huffington Post, but every once in a while two hearts beat as one:
worth the read… twice
Whoa, folks!
This type of internecine fighting is just what our foreign and domestic enemies love to see, and likely try to foment.
I generally try not to resort to the overused, lame “both sides have a point” line; but,…
in this case, I think both sides do have a point.
We will have to know when it is appropriate and safe, and not suicidal, to keep from debasing ourselves unnecessarily to the level of our evil – yes, evil – enemies;
and, we will have to know when it is time to respond, never mind in kind, but with disproportionate force, so that we win…the way Sean Connery’s character (in the only good scene of the dreadful “The Untouchables”)how to defeat the bad guys (?paraphrase?): “He pulls out a knife, you pull out a gun; he sends one of your guys to the hospital, you send two of his to the morgue!”
I recommend reading and remembering the lines of the character Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff in “The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp” (1943):
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
You know that, after the war, we had very bad years in Germany. We got poorer and poorer. Every day retired officers or schoolteachers were caught shoplifting. Money lost its value, the price of everything rose except of human beings. We read in the newspapers that the after-war years were bad everywhere, that crime was increasing and that honest citizens were having a hard job to put the gangsters in jail. Well in Germany, the gangsters finally succeeded in putting the honest citizens in jail.
—————————————-
Clive Candy:
I often thought, a fellow like me dies – special knowledge, all to waste. Well, am I dead? Does my knowledge count for nothing, eh? Experience? Skill? You tell me!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
It is a different knowledge they need now, Clive. The enemy is different, so you have to be different, too.
Clive Candy:
Are you mad? I know what war is!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
I don’t agree.
Clive Candy:
You…!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
I read your broadcast up to the point where you describe the collapse of France. You commented on Nazi methods–foul fighting, bombing refugees, machine-gunning hospitals, lifeboats, lightships, bailed-out pilots–by saying that you despised them, that you would be ashamed to fight on their side and that you would sooner accept defeat than victory if it could only be won by those methods.
Clive Candy:
So I would!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
Clive! If you let yourself be defeated by them, just because you are too fair to hit back the same way they hit at you, there won’t be any methods *but* Nazi methods! If you preach the Rules of the Game while they use every foul and filthy trick against you, they will laugh at you! They’ll think you’re weak, decadent! I thought so myself in 1919!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
[he pats Clive's shoulder] You mustn’t mind me, an old alien, saying all this. But who can describe hydrophobia better than one who has been bitten – and is now immune.
—————————————-
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
Do you remember, Clive, we used to say: “Our army is fighting for our homes, our women, and our children”? Now the women are fighting beside the men. The children are trained to shoot. What’s left is the “home.” But what is the “home” without women and children?
—————————————-
Clive Candy:…Nobody starts to fight foul until he sees he can’t win any other way.
—————————————-
Clive Candy:
I heard all that in the last war! They fought foul then – and who won it?
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
I don’t think you won it. We lost it -but you lost something, too. You forgot to learn the moral. Because victory was yours, you failed to learn your lesson twenty years ago and now you have to pay the school fees again. Some of you will learn quicker than the others, some of you will never learn it – because you’ve been educated to be a gentleman and a sportsman, in peace and in war. But Clive!
[tenderly]
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff:
Dear old Clive – this is not a gentleman’s war. This time you’re fighting for your very existence against the most devilish idea ever created by a human brain – Nazism. And if you lose, there won’t be a return match next year… perhaps not even for a hundred years.
All thinking people have known for some time what Obama and his merry band of Marxists were up to . . . the really fascinating people are those that still believe his lies and obfuscations.
…the way Sean Connery’s character…explains how to….
Apologies.
I have no problem using “Rules for Radicals” techniques. After all, we’re the radicals now and price of failure is too dear.
The other fascinating people are those who are shocked at what he’s doing. The first clue should have been when he said he wanted to change the country. What on earth did they think he wanted to change it to?
I’m sorry, do I know you? Because you certainly do not know me. Just because I disagreed with your advise of using Lefty tactics to combat the Left, now all of a sudden you brand me as a RINO or some Left wing elitist, and jump ugly at me? You assume too much. I’ll try to be polite, but you do try my patience.
RC:
Could your interlocutor be a mole from the enemy camp who is trying to create disarray and discord?
From Daily Beast:
“People inside Goldman tell me that some senior executives say they believe the onslaught of negative stories detailing Goldman’s manifold ties to upper levels of government, charges that it somehow fraudulently profited from the subprime crisis, and now the press about the firm’s record earnings is so out of proportion to reality that the coverage contains an element of anti-Semitism—subtly playing off the racist myth of a conspiracy of Jewish bankers controlling the world for their own benefit.”
Oops, Link.
I understand completely. And I will grab a rifle and bayonet the enemy, and pluck his eye out with my thumb, when the time arises. My back and for with detolbert notwithstanding, I still have a Representative Republic, and the avenue of change afforded me, by the Founding Fathers. When that avenue is no longer available to me, then it will be a call to arms.
Ditto to that!
Looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the argument this morning.
Anything is possible, but I believe him/her to be just a little hyperbolic, and possibly on the young side, prone to lashing out, when confronted with an opposing or not completely in alignment, view. I have not seen any previous posts from my interlocutor, so have no basis to gauge the thoughtfulnees or lack thereof. Our inital reparte` however, finds our new friend wanting. Nothing a little blog post seasoning cannot improve. We’ve all been there.
As Michelle says, this is just the tip of the corruption iceburg. This is so blatantly transparent, you have to wonder what is covered up below the surface. I fear there is filth, sledge, pond scum and various subterranean creatures down there. Expose them at your own risk. Once everything is loosed, we are in for some serious sh!#.
It’s also time for the GOP to start demanding investigatory commissions be set up like the Dems use to during President Bush’s terms, to look into Axelrod’s current and former affiliations and business dealings; he is too close to the seat of power for this to be ignored.
I guess we could also include Obama in that statement. The words, “impeachment” and “imprisonment” are started to pop up in my very intelligent, logical, serious-minded, conservative brain! Never in my wildest imagination would I EVER have thought I’d hear the President of the United States refer to ME as “my opponent”. This administration has to go down, and it can’t wait much longer. (For those reading this who think I am making a “threat”, I am talking about elections and non-violence…thank you for listening.)
Fixed it for ya. I cannot believe that with all that Obama has managed to screw up so far that I still see cars on the road with “Obama ’08″ on them. I’d be embarrassed. It’s like these people are missing a chromosome that enables a reality check or something.
David Axelrod: “Change is never easy.”
Especially when you leave a load in the diapers like this administration has. A true journalist should be able to detect the aroma it leaves, but apparently there aren’t that many in the current MSM.
With their track record so far, I don’t believe there are any conservatives left in Washington to hold these vermin accountable. Sure, there are self confessed republicans, but I don’t see a single conservative in the bunch.
The only good comment I’ve seen here is Granite’s…
quoting Sean Connery for the “The Untouchables”)how to defeat the bad guys (?paraphrase?): “He pulls out a knife, you pull out a gun; he sends one of your guys to the hospital, you send two of his to the morgue!”
I BELIEVE IN AN AMERICAN THAT IS REPRESENTED BY MEL GIBSON’S “PATRIOT”, WHO DOESN’T GIVE UP-WHO DOESN’T NEGOTIATE “BEST TERMS” IN SURRENDERING MY LIBERTIES AND BILL OF RIGHTS.
But comments like…
IS A QUOTE THAT MAKES CONSERVATIVES LOOK LIKE WE HAVE NO COURAGE, AND ARE NOTHING BUT RINOs.
HUH?? Who are you anyway??
I am ME, an angry voter that has been to several tea parties and anti-LaRaza protests. And then see “moderate” Republicans calling persons like me un-American because we don’t help them in being Bi-Partisan.
if that is true…why the criticism of my comment? Just wondering. Makes no sense. I am as conservative as they come. Ask anyone here. You, however are unknown to me, therefore, I tend to take your comments with a bit of caution. When you say the “only good comments on this thread are Granites, I just have to wonder a bit about you. I mean, we have had almost 40 comments. They are all bad??? I am puzzled by you.
Sorry Happyscrapper, I may have misinterpreted your comment….. I read it as “not wanting to go after” Axelrod and others.
Just being polite and saying, “Thank you Mr. Obama, may I have another.” is not working for us at all. Passivity has led to the (R)s be Bi-Partisan and just giving up.
We wouldn’t be anywhere if we weren’t being in your face to OUR Congress at the Townhall Meetings this last few months.
That’s all I’m saying.
BTW, I noticed that my first quote has been REMOVED. Why? I made sure that there was nothing bad in it….and it contained no threats.
It can be argued that every occupant of the White House brings with him a flavor of the politics from whence he came: Clinton brought Arkansas politics, Bush brought Texas politics, and now we’ve got Chicago-on-the-Potomac.
One can quibble about the effects of Arkansas and Texas nuances in the Oval Office, but there’s no question that the second-largest FBI office in the country is located in Chicago for a reason.
You can’t climb out of the cesspool and not stink, even if not everything you’re covered with is “yours”. This administration reeks of corruption, and the stench only grows stronger and more repulsive the longer we’re exposed to it.
Wow…you need to read it again.
I don’t see how I could have been misinterpreted. I not only want to go after him, but also all the slime lurking just beneath the surface. By uncovering the surface, we have only just started. As soon as the stink from the cesspool starts bubbling up, we will see some serious sh@#. That was what I meant. Just “gird your loins”.
We haven’t ascertained that as yet. He attacked me unprovoked as well, for not wholeheartedly agreeing to using Lefty tactics against the Left. Called me a RINO he did. Some of the earlier quotes have been removed so the context of some the remaining posts has been lost.
I made a post that quoted your post, and the quote was a short line that had to do with making sure the families and the children knew we meant business. My post was either blocked or it disappeared almost the instant I made it. So the removal may have had something to do with that line.
I was saying in my post that I didn’t see much to object to in your post other than that part I was quoting. That was over the top.
Any time someone accuses me of being a RINO, I am suspicious. Can anyone be LESS of a RINO than me?? I mean, go back and read some of my previous posts. I want to go after these crapweasels with everything we have!! I sometimes fear that trolls maybe trying to get us to say something they can interpret as advocating violence. I don’t advocate violence at this point. Just legal means and our voices. However, this administration is “starting” to piss me off. I’m thinking of changing my moniker to pissedoffscrapper. It has a certain ring to it.
Or the removal may have had to do with the claim about Rick Sanchez. That’s pretty ugly stuff.
I think we’ve both been the victim of a knee jerk poster. It happens in some neighborhoods, even good ones like here.
Ouch! That left a mark! Sorry Cheddar, I would look for retribution in a block of cheese, a good ale, and/or continue with the witty retorts…
Them’s flaming words. Take it to the monster thread.
I don’t recall seeing that. Was it deleted? I guess we need to caution detolbert against nasty, violence-prone posts. Some of the newer posters might not understand the rules and how easily we can be misunderstood. I believe in ACTIVELY fighting against this corrupt, disgusting attempt to destroy America. That includes using our legal right to assemble and use our protected right to free speech. It also includes freedom to post on these blogs. And to criticize this government. AND, to volunteer to help make sure our elections are kept honest.
His original post was deleted. It did not have a call for actual violence in it, but it walked the line (intimidation, intimidation, intimidation). Whether it was the part about intimidating the families or the smear of Sanchez, the post did not belong here on MM’s blog.
HOWEVER, I AM sympathetic to what he was saying, and I can certainly understand the anger.

axelgrease is just a run of the mill corrupt, lying, punk crook. axelgrease is like watching crap in a suit.
My 1st comment was quoting a quote, actualy serveral quotes from a guy that I saw on Pat Dollard’s site and here once that WE need to INVESTIGATE and even use INTIMIDATION techniques on SEIU AND ACORN!
He talked about one report is that Rick Sanchez(CNN) is a ‘registered sex offender’ and pedophile. USE THAT, we should make posters of him and take to Townhall Meetings.
He also had a plea for “conservative security groups” to find data on how many ACORN/SEIU members were “criminals or pedophiles” and we take posters of THEM to have in Crowds and hold in front of MSM cameras.
I sure can’t see how I got accused of being a liberal!!!!
If the comment about Rick Sanchez is TRUE, then it is TRUTH not ugly.
Is it TRUE???????
Ya know, whatever……take all my comments down if you want.
Ms. Malkin: Thanks for NOTHING on your coverage of the very dramatic Ms. Rifqa Bary case. You couldn’t have put out a piece on her in the past two days?
I personally don’t know what you said, but if MM takes the post down, it had to have been pretty offensive. She allows a lot of leeway. We do have to be careful not to give a bad impression of our side. We can fight them very vigorously without compromising our conservative principles. If they were really really bad, you would have been banned. So it seems as if you were perhaps just teetering on the brink. We all make mistakes sometimes. You certain are entitled to speak your mind. And MM is entitled to let you know when she wants you to tone it down.
That’s fine……..I understand MM taking down stuff, no problem.
And I agree with Roland, if comments about about Rick Sanchez are not true, remove them.
But if they are true, then it is a MAJOR STORY we should be parading at every Townhall and Tea Party.
This “wee weed-up” wasn’t an accident but a perfectly timed one. In H.R. 2493 there is a bill introduced by Barney Frank in June 2009 to legalize up to 100 grams of marijuana for personal use thus paving the way for states to pass similar bills such as California. Even Mexico just passed a law on marijuana use just a few days ago.
trim the mustache up on the sides a bit and he could almost pass for you know who…
“more recently as “Americans for Stable Quality Care.”
Is that “stable” as in “full of horse or bulls**t?
or all of the above?
PC is Thought Control
LEE
“Pop! Goes the weasel”!
If the comments were “personal attacks” then they should be deleted. We can get them with the truth and with facts. We don’t have to go after anyone personally or smear them with signs. In other words, spreading a rumor about someone personally, without proof (and sometimes even with proof) is a nasty smear. Calling them a corrupt Chicago-mafia thug creep is fact and truth. Also, I can’t believe Sanchez is a registered sex offender and still employed in a public venue. Doesn’t make sense.
If Michelle Malkin were working for the liberals and these guys were conservatives she would be known as a giant slayer. But since she is a conservative, the liberal media thinks she’s swatting flies. Don’t give up Michelle!

Corporate shills? Maybe.
But maybe not.
Has it occurred to anyone that Chauncey and his Chicago Gang control Pharma far more than they control Detroit? Obama runs the FDA. NOTHING is released as a pharmaceutical until the FDA says so.
*nothing*
Obama can dry up the pipelines of Merck, Sanofi, J&J, Pfizer, and all the rest of them with nothing more than a wink and a nod.
With a whisper he can have every pharma plant in the USA surprise-audited, and he can SHUT THEM DOWN. He can destroy their hard-earned reputations as ethical businesses, dedicated to healing, and trash their public images – particularly when he sic’s his NBC lap-dogs on them.
Michelle writes about the culture of corruption, but does she not understand how muscle works?
I’m just making a supposition here. But if I’m correct, then Pharma either pay what amounts to “protection money,” or they are destroyed.
I’m not saying that this is what’s going on – but it most certainly *could* be.
We used to live in a country where investigative journalists would check up on things like this. They’d tell us whether these companies were really behind the initiative (as they have a right to be), or if they were being muscled.
Today? We’ve got nothing. Welcome to soft tyranny.
In 2012 there will not be enough money available, no matter what the amount, to get this idiot re-elected.
Can you imagine how sick of him the whole county will be by 2012. Even the media and far left will have lost their love for him.(Alert to MSNBC.After 2010 You need to put Chris Matthews on a 24 hr a day suicide watch.)
I think people would knowingly vote for a dead man just to get rid of him .
Another thing that worries me…if he closes car dealerships based on whether they are dem or republican, what about those of us who are registered republicans? That is easy information to get. If I need a heart transplant, and so does my liberal neighbor, guess who gets it? This becomes more frightening by the day. And we have been given NO reason to trust anything Obama and his merry thugs do! Massive abuse of power. We have to defeat them! We owe it to our children and grandchildren.
Who said the following?
Answer:
You have to read the speech. The change Reagan was describing is the exact polar opposit of the change Obama wants.
axlerod could double for hitler in the movies…scary indeed….
You know, I hate to weigh in late on these things but I noted the back and forth between Detolbert and some of the regulars..
It seems fishy because, A. Saying stuff like, “I understand MM taking my stuff down” and B. Attacking some of the most staunchly conservative posters on this sight simply doesn’t pass the smell test.
If MM puts up with half the foolishness Chapoutier, LGM and Red State post here, Detolbert, whatever you may have been immature enough to post pales in comparison (guys, that’s a compliment – please take it as such).
When I first started posting here, I made the mistake of taking one of Joy’s comments and thinking she was a RINO. It was out of context and I was decidedly wrong. I’m hoping that, Detolbert, instead of being a slimy, cheese eating, DemoCommie Rat, is simply naive and new to this.
Anyone remember when Pasadena Phil called me a Troll? Seriously, he did. I had just asked an innocent question about Micheal Steele. Like, what was wrong with Michael Steele, or something like that. I really wanted to know what he didn’t like about Michael Steele! He wrote back and called me a troll for daring to “defend” Michael Steele. I was floored. Since then, I have appreciated most of his posts, and he does make a lot of sense to me, most of the time. I just don’t know what sets some people off sometimes. I guess we all have our little quirks.
“Too big to fail” is beginning to show its true colors and, excepting a few brave columnists, the deafening silence of the liberal left is puzzling to me. It seems like the very worst of what they accused Bush of doing that could never be substantiated, (Haliburton for example), really IS the cozy relationship Obama is establishing with big business. The government owns GM outright, dictates the financial marketeers, has GE in its back pocket, and attempting to keep under the radar other stuff that ought to outrage liberals such as loaning $2 billion (that we do not have) to Brazil for … oil exploration.
When will the throngs who put Obama into the WH begin to wake up?
Well, maybe I was over the top a little bit – though they don’t enjoy much of an audience size-wise, when I hear Air America referring to Obama as a “charming liar it gives me some ‘hope’.” WHAT SAY YOU LGM AND RSS ??
And once again it is a story like this that illustrates vividly the damage to a democracy that a corrupt press causes. Normally conflicts of interest like this would be investigated and explored. Now that takes place only if a Republican is the target.
Our corrupt press is one of the biggest threats to our democracy, meriting Congressional investigation, but that will never happen. Dems wont allow it, and Repubs, even while in power, were and are too weak-kneed to push for it.
this should bring a tear to your eye…

David Axelrod is going to look good in a prison jumpsuit. Seems inevitable.
Ya know, I really don’t care what you fake conservatives with “lilly-white hands” believe or think of me.
I know that when push comes to shove, I will shove back….
All of you who think we can’t “stoop to the level of the Democrats”, HEY IDIOTS-WE’RE LOSING. THE ONLY REASON WE HAVE HAD ANY GAINS IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS ON OBAMA-CARE IS THAT WE (NOT YOU) HAVE BEEN IN THE FACES OF OUR CONGRESS AT TOWNHALLS.
Those that “won’t get dirty” remind me of the commercial of the guy that is choking and the 4 people at his table sit around talking about how to save him, when a stranger comes from across the room to do it.
Yes, you’ll be saved from Obama by someone else because you can’t stomach doing it yourselves….. Other bloggers will help take up the right way (including Michelle Malkin), but you guys will just be along for the ride, and claim you did more than you really did. Or, I am sure some of you “lilly-whites” would rat out the REAL Patriots to Obama’s folks to save yourselves in the future…….
It is time for you members here to really examine who you are, who the “lilly-whites” are, and see if they would stab you in the back sometime in the future.
As for me, I know that I am true to America, but not sure of several here!!!!
PS for to conservative in europe, I know that I am a lot more conservative than you….
On thing to think of, the Founding Fathers would have destroyed the democrats 15-20 years ago. There would have never been a Clinton Administration if Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Patrick Henry and all were here. In fact, they would have already done the “dirty work” probably even before Carter came to office.
They had the WILL TO WIN, and save the Country.
And before Blog Administrator gets his panties in a wad, “dirty work” refers to the shutting down of loyalist newspapers and such, and imprisoning “for the duration of the Revolutionary War” many loyalists, rabble-rousing and treasonous soldiers, etc. Yes, many were executed by Washinton and others. Even Ben Franklin’s son (a loyalist) was considered a traitor to the Americans and held in prison.
Just think, the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center would not exist, and liberal-democrat operations of NAACP would have been stopped. No ACORN, LaRaza, and very little power to Rainbow and Nation of Islam (and certainly NO Muslim bunch called CAIR and there never would have been 9/11 attacks). As well as most liberal college faculty and bad public school teachers since anti-American and “politically-correct” teaching would never have happened.
