    Personally I think it was in poor taste, but I don’t really give a crap, assuming that he was referring to the older one.     Well, here are a few problems with your “analysis”:

    1) saying someone is using tactics reminscent of, say, Hitler, is not the same as saying Obama IS Hitler. And again, please cite your outrage at the ad hominem being directed at Bush.

    2) protesters at town hall meetings are not public figures, just citizens. Denigrating them as terrorists is both inane and foolish. Neither should the children of politicians or other celebrities be used or considered as public figures unless they choose to become so.

    If Letterman considers honest citizens to be terrorists, I wonder what his opinion is of the union thugs that are out there beating them up or otherwise intimidating/threatening them?

    What is Letterman’s opinion of the New Black Panther “poll watchers” that were arrested then released by AG Holder?

    Funny how those people slip by the Letterman rader, but young girls and honest citizens are fair game.

    Just a reminder: David Letterman was hardly the first late night comedian to crack jokes about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. SNL also did during the campaign, and Sarah Palin appeared on the show after that joke.

    What did David Letterman do differently than the others? He said Sarah herself looked like a “slutty flight attendant.” So to Palin, apparently it’s OK if you poke fun at her daughters, but not at her.

    Yesterday you didn’t know that the cars being turned in for CfC had to be destroyed so weren’t available to be sold as used cars. Today you don’t know that Letterman’s joke wasn’t about Bristol Palin, but about her younger 14 year old sister.

    The one thing that I find disgusting about him is that he isn’t man enough to own his remarks. The libs want us to believe his comments were all in jest and about the older daughter rather than the young. But basically, he is a coward, not man enough to stand up for his beliefs.     Way back in 1984 or 1985, Bryant Gumble was interviewed and he gave alot of insight into how Letterman works. Mr. Gumble said he had no use for Letterman because Letterman’s humor was an “I’m cool and your’e not” type of humor that revolved around ridiculing peoplewho were not rich or famous. Letterman’s staff once tricked a young woman who was “Miss Petite New York” onto his program and then Letterman ridiculed the young woman and reduced her to tears. But then Letterman sucks up to every minor celebrity and actor who shows up on his program. A few months ago, Dave had as a guest one of the children of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Letterman sucked up so much and went on at such length about how he he is a personal friend of Bruce Willis that I actually started to feel sorry for Letterman. It was just pathetic for a 62 year old man to have to suck up so visibly to an 18 year old daughter of a Hollywood A lister.
