Maybe the real Taliban (those White House Staffers) that work on his writing staff threatened to cut off one of his fingers if he didn’t tell the joke.
No, Dave isn’t funny anymore. He was at times in the past. Not all that consistently, but had occasions. Which means that those writers have long since left. He is, not surprisingly, according to the NY Post, beating Conan O’Brien in the ratings with Late Show Reruns. O’Brien is even less funny and more pathetic than Letterman which must take concerted effort to be that bad.
But, if you are a Paul McCartney fan (who during his sit down interview portion of the show when he was on in July said he didn’t like the show) Letterman has made available on YouTube the entire mini-concert that McCartney performed on the marquee outside the Ed Sullivan Theater

David Letterman and Larry King remind me of the kind of corpses that Michael Jackson was interested in buying – as deformed and ugly as the Elephant man only unlike the physical horror which caused him so much suffering and loneliness, their deformities are spiritual and intellectual and cause pain to others. Seen for the harm they cause, they are more disfigured than Jackson’s face, and more twisted than the Joseph Merrick’s man’s spine.
Hey -David we be a lot funnier when he is confined to nursing homes. Maybe some ex-Yankee ballplayers will rape him – Wow was that funny or what!

And Letterman should be ashamed of himself, for lots of reasons, not the least of which is invoking the name of the Taliban who so brutally killed several Americans, including Daniel Pearl. He has proven himself to be a despicable man, and considering the huge numbers of americans opposed to Obamacare (and Obama) he might want to take a long hard look at who butters his bread.

Letterman quit being funny about twenty-five years ago. Now he comes across as a bitter and angry old man, still desperate for laughs, but no longer capable of getting them without saying something outrageous.
