SEIU Watch: Who’s hiding behind the union bosses now?
When you can’t stand the heat, surround yourselves with Purple Shirts.
The latest congressional fugitive to take sanctuary at a union office is Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. Chaka Fattah. Via PA Water Cooler and Panzramic:

In related news, SEIU is crowing about radical president Andy Stern’s listing among the “Top Ten Most Powerful People in Healthcare”:
SEIU President Andy Stern has been named in the top ten of Modern Healthcare’s ranking of the 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare, announced today in the publication’s August 24 edition.
It’s an honor to make Modern Healthcare’s listing of the ‘Top 100′ most influential “movers and shakers in healthcare”–and this year marks the fifth year in a row Stern has been named in the annual rankings. Stern is referred to as one of “the chief architects of healthcare reform,” alongside other top contenders President Barack Obama, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Sen. Baucus (D-Mont.) and OMB director of the White House Office Peter Orszag.
That’s what $61 million in union dues and the “persuasion of power” buys you.

read chapter chapter 7 and watch Glenn Beck’s SEIU in a nutshell on youtube…all you ever want to know about the corruptocrats at work…
no surprise that a liberal hack politician has to surround himself with corrupt union punks. stern within his group may be powerful, outside of it just another parasite.
I love the warning signs that they are using at these “townhalls”.
The Union plan,
Raise wages and benefits on employers to near disastrous levels,
dump their health plans on taxpayers,
raise wages again to make up that difference,
Continue to reap millions in union dues for a small handful of union bosses,
the end justifies the means.
Too bad these people in purple aren’t as playful and innocent as the popular children’s character, “Barney”.
They are mean-spirited bullies who have a socialist agenda and are aligned with the environuts and the community organizers trying to destroy all that this country stands for.
Isn’t holding a political meeting in a private “residence” illegal? I thought they had to be held in public buildings?
I’m sure the attorney general will start an investigation immediately.
Of the many templates the media is attempting to foist upon us
is that Obama, peace be upon him, is the new FDR
and that
if you take into account his family, it is the new Camelot.
When in fact he is the new LBJ
That is the proper comparison. And the one that should be the answer to every FDR attempt.
Vast amounts of money and power. HOW DO WE FIGHT THIS???, says happyscrapper in total desperation.
It’s not just the SEIU who are organizing and that the political fraidy cats are using. We received a recorded message from the AFL-CIO to attend our areas town halls yesterday to disrupt the angry voices and get health care passed. We are not even union and not sure how our number was given to them. I captured the number the call came from on caller ID 202-639-6258. Anyone else get these calls yet?
I am genuinely angry that healthcare is getting socialized and the lies that are being told by our representatives to us. I don’t need to be prodded by some union to attend. I am not in their corner. I want choice and the freedom to choose who, what, when, and how I receive my health care.
I see the White House adjusted their budget deficit figures and again, blamed the Bush Administration.
the total union population of the u.s. is 14%. remove teachers union and gubmint workers union people, and true labor union population is about 5%. calculate the collapse of the autoworkers union through obamanomics, and the coal workers and electrical workers union through cap and tax, and true union participation will be 12% by 2012. between now and then these pension funds and slush funds are going to be radically depleted paying unemployment and strike wages as businesses shut down and gubmints force layoffs or furloughs. businesses must make a profit, or they are a hobby. gubmint never makes a profit, they print their profit for next year. soon, the bills are coming due, and the grand theory of socialism will hit the brick wall of reality. No One Works For Their Neighbor.
Wonder if we are seing the Demorcats starting to eat their own? Local ( DC metro) television has run ads paid for by a group, Americans United for Change, attacking Congressman Wolf for not being in lockstep with The CHosen One’s program (i.e., not voting for the climate change bill).
2010 is looking better and better!
You put boots on the ground. If they don’t let you in stand outside. Show up en mass at his office. Whatever works.
TRANSLATION: The dog ate my homework.
That one is falling on deaf ears, with the exception of the Kool Aid drinkers.
I just saw this on Politico:
Now, is there anything at all in that sentence that seems just a little contradictory? (Hint: it has something to do with grassroots.)
When will the Leftist Dems like Chaka Fattah start moving their local offices into Union offices permanently?
Fattah has no guts. He’s afraid to address his own constituents without union thug protection.
no but whocalled.us says this is probably from the AFL-CIO who doesn’t return phone calls…just ignore them or better yet report them to your State and Federal do not call lists with a complaint….
What I find odd is the disconnect between AARP, which has run 2 very agressive televison ads derriding the criticism of Obamacare (On Fox News no less) and the take I have that most retirees -and presumably many AARP members) who would touch Obanacare with a 30 foot pole.
Don Vito Corleone was also very powerful. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Der.
Go on line and enter the number using Google; you should get some info about who has called.
I think we should ALL report these calls. Now that we have a phone number, we can report them to the do-not-call police. Will it do any good? No, but it should send a message that we are on to their illegal activities.

The Purplebellies and their blue handed masters are looking to spread the PAX. Don’t lay down. Go REAVER!
I disagree with almost everything LBJ did, but this is an unwarranted comparison. After all, no one doubted that LBJ loved his country, and while amassing personal power, he did try to benefit the average citizen.
Johnson was both giver and taker. Osama Obama is a taker.
Heh! That Philly thug will probably have the New Black Panthers functioning as ushers.
There are purple shirts available on eBay. If this was happening in my town I would be very tempted to buy one.
Its time to boycott the companies who employ SEIU members.I hate to see businesses suffer, but these purple people have gone too far.If we are going to have 10% unemployment, let’s make that 10% SEIU members.
Birds of a feather.
Wonder where they’ll hide after Obamacare strips union members of their much better health insurance and they all have no better than mediocre (at best) care like the rest of us will.
The Democrat Party is a criminal enterprise.
