EPA whistleblower’s office on the chopping block
Over the past two months, I’ve chronicled the plight of EPA whistleblower Alan Carlin at the hands of Team Obama’s dissent-stiflers.
My friends at the Competitive Enterprise Institute first blew the lid on the story and continue to monitor the war on EPA watchdogs.
The latest development? EPA may get rid of a key internal review office that has provided too many inconvenient truths:
Following a whistleblower report that criticized a global warming rule, the Environmental Protection Agency is reportedly considering shutting down the agency office in which the critical report originated.
Dr. Alan Carlin, the senior analyst whose report EPA unsuccessfully tried to bury, worked in EPA’s National Center for Environmental Economics (NCEE). According to a story in last Friday’s Inside EPA, the agency is now considering shutting that office down.
CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman was sharply critical of the proposed EPA move.
“Economists are the most likely professionals within EPA to examine the real-world effects of its policies,” said Kazman. “For this reason, the NCEE is a restraining force on the agency’s out-of-this-world regulatory ambitions. EPA would love to get that office out of the way, especially since it has within it civil servants like Dr. Carlin, who are willing to expose the truth about EPA’s plan to restrict energy use in the name of global warming.”
Carlin’s study found that EPA failed to consider recent science data showing that global warming is not the problem the Administration claims. For example, the study found that ocean cycles, rather than anthropogenic carbon dioxide, appear to be the single best explanation of global temperature variations.

#3…last night at Sen. Coburn’s town hall meeting crap and tax came up. He asked how many people believe in global warming…maybe 10 out of 700 or so raised their hands…he then asked of those how many have read the science behind it…3 or 4 maybe raised their hands. He then asked how many didn’t believe in it…hundreds raised their hands. He then asked how many have read the science behind it. More than half kept their hands up…what does that say?

Here’s the other side of the coin, eliminate the whistleblowers and promote the propagandists. The NEA is being used to promote Obamunism. The directors of the NEA are targeting their grant activities at artists who promote the administration’s view on cap-and-tax, socialized health care, and promoting the Obamunist party line.
I’m wondering how long it will be before Dr. Carlin publishes his book on man made climate change? I’d like to buy a copy for my far left younger brother.
How much can I get if I put a statue of The IWon in a jar of urine? Should be good for a couple hundred G’s at least.

This appears to be a straightforward case of retaliation. I thought that was supposed to be illegal in “whistleblower” situations.
Ah, but my liberal BS radar is already detecting the rationalizations approaching:
- “It’s ‘whistleblowing’ when we do it, but ‘disloyalty’ when you do it; and
- “Because this is the Most Transparent Administration Ever(TM), we have no need for ‘watchdogs’ anyway. You wanna save money spent on government bureaucrats, well then here’s an opportunity.”
Isn’t it too bad that they can’t get rid of the public who vote against it?
At this rate, Obama is making the people an enemy of the presidency. Who do you think wins over history in these sorts of confrontations?
The IRS stole money from me that my accountant said I didn’t owe (we’re fighting it). I’ve never had a problem before with the IRS and I pay a TON. (not like Geitner or Daschle). I doubt I’d have had a problem if I was in the Obama is god brigade.
This administration is using the government to fight a war against the American people. It is a recipe for disaster.

“No, we are not retaliating against any whistleblower, we are simply eliminating the office since it is not needed anymore”.
“Don’t you know, we no longer need the office since we already know what’s best.”
