Michelle said He lied to his family. He lied to his staff. He lied to his constituents. He manipulated government officials and abused taxpayer funds.

This is not about a conservative who had sex outside of his marriage. And personally, I have no plans to “get over” my feelings in this area. This is a moral, legal and ethical issue.

Do I care if Mark Sanford cheated on his wife. Not a whit. I didn’t care when Clinton had sex with Monica in the oval office. I do care that he lied about it. I do care that his actions degraded the presidency and reduced it to a joke on a late night show. I care about how my country and its citizens are perceived in this country and around the world.
Call me naive but I believe that an elected official should be one who has high moral character and integrity. Mark Sanford apparently has neither.

I am tired of hearing that my Christian values are tired and out of date. Just because all conservatives are not happily married and monogamous Christians doesn’t mean anything to me. I am not guided by herd mentality.

The only thing I agreed with in your statement is to turn the camera off. Let Mr. Sanford be his own punishment.

Sexually they are the same as any other group. A mixed bag, a very mixed bag.

If I had been Gov Sanford, instead of crying and getting all torn up at the outing of the affair. I would have winked at the camera, smiled and said “yeah I slept with her and shes hot.”

His marriage is over anyways at that point. Yeah he screwed up. Join the club.

The sooner we as conservatives get over ourselves in this area the better. I do not care if this guy had sex with anyone above the age of majority, who is capable of making a consensual decision. I don’t care.

I just wish he would shut the h@#! up about it. He sounds foolish and childish.

He is like a teenager who has little experience in this area and has lost a girlfriend and is now wandering around aimlessly talking about it to anyone who will listen. Enough already.

And just like that teenager, he has talked so much, that he has now alienated anyone who actually cared for him, and now is talking to the “cruel kids,” who only want to seem sympathetic so they can ridicule him.

Enough already. Put the guy on suicide watch and turn the cameras off.

This is a prime example of how America builds someone up just to tear them down. The only reason you care was because you wanted to support him.

He did nothing to you personally. His being removed from office means nothing to your life whatsoever. It is a shame that of all the things to be outraged about concerning this government, this is what you choose.
