I wished I could have been there. Since moving to C. Springs about a month ago I've been hit by allergies (ragweed), unpacking boxes of stuff, and filing claim forms for damaged stuff. No matter who moves my military husband and I, they always seem to break a particular two-tiered, antique table. Sigh....

Now, if someone could just do something about ragweed, I could actually step out of my house without sneezing!!!

C.S. is a beautiful place with many patriotic, friendly, law-abiding people. I live half-way between the Springs and Denver. C.S. is still not very liberal or expensive when compared to Boulder. There are more registered Independents in Colorado than the other parties, so Colorado can swing back to a more red state, if so convinced. I hope all the self-professed Coloradans here, and Ms. Malkin, can help us move that pendulum back in the next election cycle. Our freedom is at stake.

Now it seems to have become very liberal (& also very expensive).

Gee....who would've thought those two things would seem to be related?!?

***
Good Job Michelle--great photos, great American Soldiers.
***
We prayed for a young soldier, his wife, and 2 year old son this morning at church--he is being sent to Iraq soon. One of the church members is a 90+ year old man who was a 16 year old Army soldier at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
***
Were those A-10 (Warthog) ground attack planes in the photo? Or did some civic minded private pilots do the flyover? The planes did not look like the F-16's usually used.

Thank you for the post MM, makes my heart swell with pride to see those brave soldiers that defend our country against the scum of the earth returning home to the appreciation of the towns people. Brings back memories of when I was a young lad and the spirit of America was as high as you could see.

I love my country, The United States of America and I want her back the way she was proud to be her, dignified to be home of the brave and the free.

I WILL NOT SUBMIT!

I do so love living here in Colorado Springs. Although I do think the new Colorado slogan should be "Lose a little liberty with each arriving Californian."

I had a chance to visit C Springs several times, years ago. It's a great town and I'm glad to see that it hasn't changed, in its affection for the military.
