Environmentalists green-washing 9/11
Take a look at a new print ad produced by DDB Brazil for the World Wildlife Fund (click for full-size):
The appalling tagline states: “The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it.”
Translation: Forget about those puny jihadists. The planet is the real terrorist threat.
According to AdFreak, WWF denies responsibility for the ad.
Which is curious. Because DDB, the ad agency, seems to have a lengthy track record of being tied vile ads that their clients keep disavowing.
Like this tasteless ad showing bruised and beaten women to illustrate what happens when you don’t wear a sports bra.
And the recent VW suicide bomber viral ad.
So, how is it that the WWF didn’t know about the ad? It won a public service “merit award” earlier this year. Was the WWF unaware of DDB’s checkered history?
The denials from the companies that keep hiring this ad agency are starting to ring hollow, don’t you think?

Make no mistake: catastrophic climate change represents a threat to human security, global stability, and — yes — even to American national security.

Every time I see an example of the eco terrorist lunacy, or PETA, or any of the radical fringe groups, I just think…more and more people are getting sucked into this nonsense. I always say the same thing about “Global Warming” or “Climate Change.” Read State of Fear by Michael Crichton and also read his speech about why we should be skeptical about global warming.
State of Fear may be fiction, but it has an excellent appendix that covers the pseudo-science of eugenics and shows how dangerous the pseudo-science of climate change really is.

Back in the 70′s these same scientists told us we’d be completely out of oil and frozen to death before the turn of the century. Seems to me that in ’78 or 79 some idiot “expert” told us that all of the oil on (or in if you will) the planet had already been discovered.
Now, the ice sheet is expanding, temps have dropped over the past ten years, there are more polar bears now than there were in 1950, and these idiots are still banging the global warming drum.

I don’t believe any of this global warming crisis, mostly because of 3 things. First, it’s been disproved. Second, it is flaunted by politicians more interested in corruption and power, than “saving the world”. Third, we had a major global warming 1000 years ago, with the result of agricultural booms, absence of famines, and major exploration. And, no, they didn’t call Greenland that name to attract settlers. Obviously, they wouldn’t have stayed, seeing it as it is today. In the upper part of England, you can still see streets named after the grape vinyards that flourished there. This “we all going to die, give up your liberty and money” is getting old. Time for the usual follow-up…global cooling. Some people are still around who remember the global warming “crisis” of the ’30s.

I think you could show up a lot of liberals by offering to bet substantial amounts of money that the Arctic won’t be ice free in four years. Either that or get rich, although I don’t think you’ll find many liberals who are quite that stupid. As a matter of fact, I would love to see a large number of wealthier Republicans/conservatives publicly offering Kerry a wager of oh, say, a million dollars (each) that it won’t happen.

Let’s see… The ocean has about 1000 times the thermal inertia of the atmosphere so it… leads? … or LAGS?… the atmospheric temperature? (Perhaps looking at what the atmosphere has been doing will give us clue?)

I don’t know. Are there rules regarding the release of Ads? Certainly, a company will hire DDB, but does that obligate the company to automatically agree to run whatever DDB produces?
Moreover, the tastless Ad of the planes flying into New York, and the tastless Ad for the sports bra were not released over the public airwaves by those organizations, but were released by DDB via other forums.
It may not be the companies, it just might be DDB.
This ‘dumbing down’ of the War on Terror in favor of the War for the Environment is a long time coming. Long ago teachers at grammar schools in Queens cite to students that it’s more “noble” to save the earth and drowning polar bears than “killing people” and our troops in uniform are just wasting their lives “fighting the wrong battle.” Such belittlement of our troops and their unsung achievements! It’s really becoming dangerous because the Greens seem to be getting their way on most every front. Not even private property will be safe. This thing about natural disasters being more dangerous than terrorists gets me too. Terrorists today really haven’t got started with their access to truly bad stuff like the really nasty bio-warfare agents and nuclear stuff which can kill over a hundred thousand plus wholesale — and keep on going. Natural disasters come with life and are more or less avoidable and don’t specifically put a target on your back. According to some who believe in a G-d that created the earth, and mankind. Once we turned our back on G-d, and his laws, we pay a price.
As the world continues to state there is no G-d, or you can be as G-d, the earth’s storms, earthquakes, lack of rain, etc… get larger, and cause more damage.
We are suppose to repent, but as a nation, and globe full of humans who turn to more murder, rape, drugs, sex outside of marrage, Homosexuality, etc… G-d pours out his warnings to the earth hoping man will turn back from his evil.

I laugh every time I see the emotional appeal ads of the lone polar bear on a sheet of ice surrounded by water. Stupid liberals . All anyone has to do to see through this is go to a zoo with polar bears. They are excellent swimmers.
WWF and other envirocommie groups spend more effort outside the USA raising money than inside. It’s because the majority of people in South America and Europe actually believe the BS that they spout. I’ve said it here many times but it’s true – Discovery, National Geographic and the History Channel are sponsored by WWF almost entirely in Europe (a place where the VAST majority of people have never seen an animal in the wild). They raise money like crazy here and ship it all to the USA in order to lobby the Libtards in Congress. Amnesty International knocks on my door twice a week asking for money.
My point is, unless there are limitations on American PAC’s obtaining money from foreign sources – or even a rule requiring disclosure of the percentage of funds raised outside the USA, we allow the rest of the world to dictate our political direction. Of course, the Anti-American Democrats like it that way.
Well, you can’t expect them to realize that volume DECREASES when ice melts, do you? That would be one too many facts to keep in their heads!

It doesn’t even make sense. The tsunami was created by an earthquake. No one is suggesting any link between climate change and earthquakes, or species extinction and earthquakes.
Of course, I don’t know what I expect from an organization that uses as its logo an animal that would be extinct if it were not for human intervention. Or is it only unnatural extinction and not unnatural captive breeding that causes tsunamis?
