Five years ago today, Chechen jihadists attacked a school and took more than 1,100 hostages. 334 adults and 186 young students died in the siege.

AFP reports on the Beslan parents’ concern about ongoing jihadi violence:
Five years on, Russian authorities have not learnt from the Beslan hostage siege, survivors of one of Russia’s worst massacres in recent memory said Tuesday as they marked its grim anniversary.
Several hundred relatives and survivors gathered at the crumbling ruins of School Number One in this southern town to commemorate the hostage disaster that took the lives of over 330 people, including 186 children.
The painful memory of the massacre that left a host of questions unanswered is slowly fading away and President Dmitry Medvedev did not mention the Beslan siege as he congratulated Russians on the start of a new academic year.
Survivors and relatives of those who perished in the massacre said they had yet to see a fair investigation into the tragedy and complained that the security situation in the north Caucasus was deteriorating daily.
“Five years ago, after Beslan, we thought that the world had to change,” said Valentina Ostaniy, who was at the besieged school together with her son and nephew.
“But years later we see that nothing has changed. We are still afraid to send our children off to school because terror acts which have become yet more horrific and devious, take place in northern Caucasus every day.”

This is trully horrible. The terror has become a part of their daily life, they’ve accepted their fate while waiting for action from their government. That is one of the more cruel legacies of socialism.

All muslims are instructed to kill non-muslims. They will not spare children or women.
Some people, and many in the current administration, are uncomfortable with the fact there is evil in the world, so they try to deny it. so there is no more “war on terror.” This is a horrific reminder that evil must be confronted and defeated.
The Beslan attack is an example of evil for the sake of evil, undiluted by any hint of childhood trauma, and unblocked by any trace of kindness or goodness.

They, having no experience in dealing with the world, or even having traveled far, believe that, if we talk and smile to them, all will be okay. Some people believe the world is like the U.S., having never traveled beyond their city. These same people will also have us believe that if the U.S., only, passes cap and trade laws, the whole world will be nice and clean. Another 9/11, may come here; and you can bet planning is being done by terrorists. Like with a neighbor who threatens your family, you walk out with a baseball bat, and ask if they would like to settle it right now…not sit down over a beer, and discuss it.
Lucid minded people will always confront evil.
Liberals will use evil to their own advantage. They have a big tent too.
I will never forget Beslan. I have never sent my children to school to start a new year without thinking of it. It is like Columbine, in my head and heart, seared forever.
And why did he fail to do so? There are several reasons, such as the incompetence in which the Russian authorities handled the attack and the well-known contempt of the Russian State for its people, an attitude our own government is acquiring as well. But probably the most important factor is the demographic one Mark Steyn has been writing about for several years now: the Russia of old is dying and is being transformed, rapidly in some cases, into an Islamic Republic. Don’t want to be seen or heard annoying the new power on the block, even in memory of your own slain people.
Add to that the UK. There are scary times ahead.
I don’t disagree that the Russians bungled their attack. Horribly bungled.
But let’s not forget that it was the muslim Jihadists who shoulder the blame here. They, not the Russians, initiated this. They, not the Russians, held hostages in the name of “Allah.”
Russia is on the vanguard of the “muslim-ification” of Europe. Nation after nation is seeing their native birthrate plummet, while the muslims that have immigrated there are having huge families.
Watch for more and more of these kinds of things. The Paris Riots are just the beginning.
Do we really believe that the solution is to have “really excellent SWAT teams?”
Don’t forget the Islamic Republic of France. This is getting serious. I wonder how it will end: Caliphate or Crusade?

Not much difference in the two of them
You take children from birth, and teach them to hate, filling their minds with nothing other than “Allah”. Then you send out these naive, gullible and illiterate people, to do your bidding (but call it God’s bidding), into the world. It isn’t as spectacular as a military invasion, takes much longer, but the result can be victory, if you are patient. They are winning in Europe simply by using the systems there, to their own advantage, tossing in an occasional bomb for effect.

We have contributed to the problem by sending aid and weapons to parts of the world that are now free of the obligation to work or take care of the children they produce. We send food and aid and they spend their days making babies, teaching them hate, and plotting to blow other people up.
I cannot respect any religion that does not shed a tear for a child.
It is only like Columbine in that it is a tradegy.
The murders at Columbine were done by a few anti-social students whose parents were practically non-existent in their lives. Beslan was nothing more than a typical islamic jihadi purge of non-believers.
I would love to say “nuke the jihadis and their supporters” but you can’t kill a belief. Hitler tried with the Jews and the English tried with the Irish catholics. You can see how well those worked.

Socialism forces people to become overly reliant on the state. They wait and wait, and no good has come of it since “…terror acts which have become yet more horrific and devious, take place in northern Caucasus every day.” I do not blame the Russians for this horrible act, but I do hold culture of socialist delusions is allowing these to perpetuate untill they are part of the daily life in that land. What a place of misery, and this same world awaits around the corner for us too. As someone who lived under Soviet rule, I understand Reagan’s wisdom. Unfortunately, the younger generation comming out of our schools does not.
We haven’t learned anything, either. Look who we’ve elected as our leaders. A President and Congress who want to let the terrorists go, and prosecute the people who try to fight the terrorsits.
That’s what cluster bombs are for.
And a State Department which keeps giving priority to muslims to immigrate to the USA in growing numbers, with virtually no questions asked, no significant background checks.
And yet, with jihadists likely crossing our borders illegaliy due to ineffective controls and massive legal immigration, we are likely to face serious problems right here on our home turf not so far into the future.
We will be at war as long at they hate us more than they love their own children.
Keep your guns loaded and ready. It may come to that sooner than you think.

Five years later, what did the violence accomplish?
We should all get a copy of the top picture of the man carrying the child and send it to The White House with a letter reminding them that THIS is what terrorism looks like, in case they have forgotten. This is what muslum radicalism looks like. Hug your children tonight, and then get back to fighting this, NOT with appeasement, not with bowing to saudi kings, but actually fighting, for God’s sake. What will it take to get our “leaders” to wake up??? This just breaks my heart!

Unfortunately the above is very true. The question is “how” and “when” will it happen, not “if”? Muslim immigration to this country must be stopped.
I have thought that for a very long time. They destroyed their own countries and now are swarming to other places that were once great societies, and destroying them too. And we just let them do it! WHY? Why do we let them do it?? We all know what they are doing. We all know what they stand for. We need to close our borders to muslims entirely. Period. Let them live in their own country. Why should they come here when they have no intention of assimilating into American culture, but want us to assimilate to theirs. This is so nuts, it is just about driving me over the edge. And even worse, we allow them to stand on street corners and spew their hatred of us, in the name of “free speech”. I am disgusted with how compliant we have been and how accomodating to these 7th century creatures. I do not respect them or their “religion” because they have done nothing for the world except destroy and kill. spit.
By the way, I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, the home of runaway Somalies. We let a ton of them come in here and now they are travelling back to Somalia to learn how to fight us. Nice, huh? There are some families who actually like it here and have decided to assimilate. But a lot of them are lost and should go back where they came from…and stay there. As you may have noticed, I am quite passionate on this topic!

As far as this country goes, I see a civil war brewing that may bring more destruction and it wont be over just immigration.
I remember Ayotollah Khemeini (can’t spell that) say in 1980 after the Islamic Revolution in Iran that they were going to take over the west through immigration. It seems the easiest way to deceive people is to tell them what you are going to do right to their face. They either do not hear or do not believe.
