Whitewashing the Obama education speech guides
Well, well, well.
The White House has re-written its activist talking points for teachers/administrators disseminated by the US Department of Education and removed the language about “helping the president.”
Whitewashing: It’s the Obama way.
What they can’t whitewash is the radicalism of many of the White House Teaching Fellows responsible for drafting the material — or the radicalism of the educational mentors with whom Obama served, starting with Chicago Annenberg Challenge/Woods Fund/neighbor Bill “education is the motor-force of revolution” Ayers.
You can take Obama out of Chicago. But you can’t take the Chicago out of Obama.

This is the problem with nationalized anything. We have lost enough local control over education as it is. We were better off with the one-room schoolhouses that educated the generation that put won WWII and put a man on the moon.
Those Catholic nuns at the local parochial schools did a helluva a job too.
BO’s ratings on his prime time interuptions have been dropping…bet anyone that he notes that he’s giving a speech the next night while talking to the youngsters and encouraging them to watch. Which means that teachers will assign the September 13 speech and families will have to watch.

Don’t post something you don’t believe. “Ask not what your country can do for you” is not in the new democratic party philosophy. JFK would be ridiculed today for his economic and foreign policies. In reality, he would be a conservative. Tell me what democrat would support reducing taxes in order to increase revenue? JFK believed it, and it worked. Obama is nothing more than a rookie, in over his head, in a position to change America completely to his idea of what the world should be like; everyone tied to the government and under its control, with him and his buddies at the top, of course. For the first time, in my long life, I have nothing but disgust for what is going on in D.C.. And, yes, IGM I used to be quite the radical leftist once, back in the ’60s. I grew up, became more educated, and developed intelligence. That was during the Carter administration, of which I was a member of his inaugural staff. Now, they propose taxing all stock trades. There is a lot of middle class people, who don’t make more than $250K, who use the stock market. Why anyone would want a government that tells lies and wants total control over their lives, is a mystery to me, other than total apathy as to what is really going on; something the government is hoping.
That would be the perfect thing to do, followed up with an Angel game at 7:05….

If your Kool-aid drinking friends don’t believe that Obama wants to get a specific message out to kids that is more about him and his “community over individual” morality then think about this:
Supposedly his speech is about success and academics, but…
The original supporting study documentation sent out to teachers contains these words followed by the number of times used in the documentation:
Success, Succeeding, Succeed – 0 (zero)
Persist, Persisting, Persistence – 0 (zero)
Academic, Academics – 0 (zero)
Education – 2 times (plus once used in Dept of Education!)
But the following do appear, some numerous times:
President or Obama – 18 times
Do (in the sense of “doing” something) – 8 times
Community – 3 times
Duty – 1 time
Civic – 1 time
Score?
Community and “duty” Propaganda/Obama personality worship – 31
Education and Success – 2
So what do you think the message is really about?
Children are naïve enough to think that he must be telling the truth for no other reason than because he’s the President, just like they think the teacher tells the truth because they are the teacher.
Because of that ‘bama may have finally found his perfect audience–they don’t have enough life experience to know that he lies with every breath, every word, and controlling every aspect of their lives is his goal.
Depending on their age most children aren’t even old enough to process what they hear nor would they have the attention span to sit and listen, so you can bet the class leaders will be interpreting in their own words what ‘bama says to the kids.
This has become a hot potato in the Denver area. I contacted our school district and principal and I know several other people did too.
Our principal emailed me back right away and said they were reviewing the information. I asked him to at least let the kids opt out. High school kids just don’t have time for this crap. They need to be in class.
Of course, the ignorant among us think it’s just an innocent “education is good for you” speech.

Skeletor Colmes could not hardly understand how this is an intrusion into the classroom. Someone noted that encouraging children to study could easily have been accomplished via a public service announcement.
But can we kick Chicago and the Lake Counties out of Illinois–perhaps merge them with Detroit and Milwaukee into an independent Corruptostan? Then the rest of those states could reenter the USA. Similar solutions might be used on the Northeast Corridor and the Left Coast.
Not to upset President Hussein too much but there are others of us who wish to remake America-big time. I really have nothing in common with the Left and have no desire to Work Together.
