The study, funded by the Alameda County Community Development Agency, also estimated that about 10,000 birds—nearly all protected by the migratory bird act—are being whacked every year at Altamont.

Human silhouette area (rough calc) = 1000in^2 * .028 = 28 watts (assuming it is all absorbed which it is NOT because the lower the frequency the more EMR just passes right through you). I weigh 80 kg so 28/80= .35 watts per kg.

Cell phones are measured for the same affect and look, Drudge just posted an article for me! The maximum allowed is 1.6 watts per kg – over 4 times the maximum I could receive standing 100 feet away from a 50KW station, (and the one these nitwits tore down is only 5KW).

You mentioned knee-jerk responses earlier. Most of the enviro-wacko causes in the past 30 years have been knee-jerk responses by them to some issue.

Building a fence along the southern border is one example. Rather than build the fence, enviro-wackos are oh-so-concerned about some environmental damage due to building the fence.

You never consider the amount of trash and damage done to the environment by thousands of Mexicans wandering over the land day after day, year after year.

Nuclear energy is another example. Rather than building nuclear plants to provide energy, you would rather people put up with brown and blackouts. You would rather whine about coal or natural gas fired electric plants and continuously put more demands on them causing people to pay more for what they receive.

Leftists whine about joining the other industrialized nations when it comes to passing socialized health care, yet ignore those same nations who have a much higher nuclear energy production than we have.

If you were not so contradictory in so many areas, perhaps more than a few brain-washed morons would see your point of view.
