Out: Commie Truther green jobs czar. In: Union hack “manufacturing” czar

President Obama’s payoffs to Big Labor continue.
The union bosses got not one, but two, Cabinet appointees: Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
Former SEIU chief lobbyist and Soros-funded operative Patrick Gaspard is White House Director of Political Affairs.
SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger serves on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
SEIU thug-in-chief Andy Stern has a seat at the table of every domestic policy initiative.
At the New York Federal Reserve, the AFL-CIO’s New York chief Dennis Hughes is now chairman, replacing Obama Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.
AFL-CIO official Naomi Walker received a midnight lobbyist waiver so she can communicate with her union buddies in her new role as Assistant Deputy Secretary of Labor.
And to cap off Labor Day weekend, Obama named union heavy Ron Bloom — who cut his teeth at the foot of John Sweeney when he headed up the SEIU — the new “manufacturing czar.”
Bloom will continue to double-dip the government coffers as the Treasury Secretary’s car czar — oh, excuse me, “senior auto adviser.”
Like so many of the Czars of the Obama Underworld, Bloom will serve in a completely superfluous position. Why does America need a “manufacturing” czar? Doesn’t the Department of Labor cover that jurisdiction already?
No, Bloom has no actual, specialized experience in manufacturing.
He does have a long track record of union hatchet jobs, though/ J.P. Freire and David Freddoso at the Examiner note:
So far, the Obama administration’s “bankruptcy negotiation” technique has amounted to strong-arming and ruining the reputations of senior creditors who resist being written out in favor of unions. With the choice of Bloom, it is more obvious that the unions now sit on both sides of the negotiating table. Unless, that is, you believe an administration that fires CEOs is not really running the auto industry in which it owns a huge stake.
And they highlight a union philosophy quote from Bloom that would make Andy “persuasion of power” Stern cackle:
“Let me give you some advice. First, we are big believers in dentist chair bargaining. For those of you not familiar with this approach, it is inspired by the story of the man who walks into his dentist’s office, grabs the dentist by the balls and says, ‘now, let’s not hurt each other.’ We do have a lot to lose and we and everybody else knows it. But what you need to understand is that we are willing to lose it.”
— Prepared remarks for a speech to an International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 21, 2006
Commenter Gabriel Sutherland at Tom Maguire’s Just One Minute adds:
If the press travels to Steubenville, Ohio they could ask the laid off union workers what they think of Ron Bloom’s acumen for “saving union jobs”.
Bloom orchestrated the sale of Wheeling-Pitt to Esmark Inc.(shell holding company). Esmark was acquired by OAO Severstal(Russian Oligarchs) soon thereafter.
Ron Bloom is 10 times worse than Van Jones. Van never really created any jobs, but he never really gave any away either. Ron Bloom explicitly sold out union laborers under the guise he was saving more jobs than would have been lost of Wheeling-Pitt was acquired by its initial courter, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional(commonly known as Brazil CSN or the only steelmaker in Brazil).
Bloom could accurately be described as the Andy Stern of old school organized labor jobs. Not these unionized home health care workers that Stern pads his SEIU rolls with, but actual unionized laborers in manufacturing.
The elected heads of the Steelworkers back Ron Bloom. They have a personal relationship with him. But if you go to the laid off steelworkers they’ll tell you what is really going on.
PS: Stimulus funds for infrastructure had “buy american” clauses in them that were retracted. In their place was “buy north american” clauses. Union laborers have already found steel from Russia being used on projects funded by the Stimulus.
Short short history of organized labor in the United States. The Unione Siciliane was controlled by La Cosa Nostra as a hedge against Moscow and their Communist apparatchiks. It’s post WWII Cold War gamesmanship. The Communists from Eastern Europe have always been anarchist agitators deliberately attempting to slow industrialization in the West. This is why you’ll always find stories of G-Men going down for playing a fast and loose game with their made men informants.
Here’s background on Bloom’s “social justice”/Labor Zionist movement roots.
The White House has learned nothing from the Van Jones debacle.
Let’s hope the Republicans have.
Here’s Rep. Mike Pence calling for a suspension of all new czar appointments.
***
I have mentioned GOP Rep. Jack Kingston’s proposed bill to cut off all federally approriated funds to czar offices many times over the summer. He was ahead of the curve.
There are currently 34 co-sponsors of the bill.

I hope mine is nowhere near DC. We are much safer when they’re at recess.
Anybody who organizes a celebratory party because the Green Czar resigned is fooling themselves. He’s just one of many in a long line of tax cheats, hustlers and community organizers intent on the communist/marxist agenda.
Jack Kingston needs to shout louder, no one can hear him. And where’s my rep? He’s got his sniveling little face right in the armpit of The Won. (Carnahan)

HI TIGERLADY–Your representative has more class than mine does. Or maybe you don’t have military experience to help you describe him.

My rep is Perlmutter and my senators are Bennet and Udall. Ugh. There is no point in even looking for their names in support of this or any anti-Obamessiah bill.
Just Obama displaying his ACORN “in your face” style of politics.
The guy’s a hack who proves once again that he doesn’t have the temperament to govern.
He’ll either kill the Democrat Party or he’ll start another Civil War. But definitely one of the two.
a lot of union garbage now contaminating zero’s administration, is most certainly pay back time. shine the light on the cockroaches and stop all czar funding.
Reading up on the daily Pelosi memo.
As I said yesterday – my observation is that government has a “reverse midas touch”. If we want to improve manufacturing, have government get far away.
Back in the day, a “commie” was someone actually supporting a Communist party. That could have been the Communist Party USA, or the Soviet Union, or the PRC. Patriotic Americans who believed in capitalism with a safety net were called “Democrats”.
Today, MM calls “commie” anyone who is not 100% libertarian. Believing in social security or public schools or taxes of any kind (except possibly to for the military) makes you a commie.
This puts 90% of Americans in the “commie” category.
The same thing is happening to the word “Nazi”. Gone are the days when being a Nazi meant mass murder. Now the President of the United States can be called a Nazi for urging kids to stay in school.
But then Mr. Bloom does not actually need manufacturing experience to merely shake down manufactures and send them to China does he? Now as a now Government type if he can still get the cashed filled envelope or a job for his brother-in-law, a normal Union Organizer perk, is to be seen. But President Obama does owe these people and we are the ones to pay–and thus it has ever been. Rather generous with our money isn’t he?
I have met all too many people who do wish the President success–they really think he might turn the economy around. With the stiffing of the bond holders in the above mentioned cases just who do these people think will fund new plants and plant upgrading? The Bond market is panicked. Put Federal borrowing on top of that and the only growth I see is in the inflation rate.
When you see the Federal Reserve Monetized the Debt you will know a new Misery Index.
But there is indeed an ugly, and to me sinister, reason for monetizing our debt and further weakening the dollar.
All face Turtle Island and Worship the New World Order–or not.
—
Hopefully we have one more free election to stop this–baring a “man made disaster” of some kind at a most convenient moment-perhaps a late October?
yes cut off funding and let’s see how long they hang around….great idea!! make dear leader live within a budget just like the rest of us must do day-to-day. He shouldn’t have a blank check to do with as he pleases!!
I have to disagree totally with this statement. They have learned and will adjust. The next radical will not be as easy to expose and unseat.
All so expect a “rapid reaction” plan to deal with it.
John, I don’t have military experience, just the school of hard knocks. I’ve watched Carnahan in action and have always come away from that experience feeling like I was slimed and need a long, hot shower.
The dems in Missouri have a long time love affair with this family of career politicians and my question has always been “why?”. He’s a nothing.
So, I’ll concede that we’re both screwed with our representatives and hope we can do all we can to vote them out.
Does anyone hear a buzzing gnat sound on this blog? Trolling for his daily fix of conservative trouncing?

Toad licking again I see.
And if they do, lgm, they should be called out for it. However, I have not seen that specific reference here.
Many times on this blog I have called the people who equate Nazis or Hitler with their own petty enemies, EVIL. Millions of people were intentially killed by the Nazis in the quest for power and for anyone to equate that with petty politics is a wildly ignorant fool. However, on this blog, I have only had to address this topic in this context, where you bring in other nonreferenced smears, as if someone here made them.
Lgm, perhaps you were asleep. Van Jones has stated publically that he is a Communist. He has also signed a petition that implies the Bush Administration had a role in causing the 9/11 attacks.
Thus, the term “Commie Truther,” while somewhat colloquial, is factually correct.
These radicals are being exposed by their own statements and writings. You will note that despite all of the wailing from the Left, no one, including you or the White House has denied anything said or written by Van Jones.
Flyover, I agree. They learn fast and will adjust. But, it’s a lot harder for them to lie when Youtube videos are floating out there showing who they really are and what they really believe. Beck said the other day that the internet was being scrubbed of Jone’s talks on video. Wonder who’s behind that (/sarc off)?
Commie is as commie does.
This administration signed off as the means of production were seized and ownership was transferred to the proletariat. A proud moment for the US government. Who owns GM & Chrysler?
Sorry LGM, Nazi’s were liberals, and still are. You can see it in the intimidation they use in any century!
In Kalifornia?? I live in Mary (Crap & Tax) Bono Mack’s district. The only conservatives that represent me in any branch of government are on the local city council.
As America slowly wakes up and smells what’s going on in this administration, the White House will only push harder to get more of their agenda passed before the day of reckoning comes in 2010. They have sixteen months before a new Congress is in session and the czars will only get more desperate before the hearings start.
I’m glad to see that my representative, John Linder, finally put his name to something useful.
As for the newest Czar Bloom or Reichs”manufacturing”führer (take your pick), it might be a good idea for someone to actually go talk to those laid off union workers in Steubenville, Ohio to ask exactly how they feel. I wonder how many sheep still support the union.
‘Special Advisors to the President’ or ‘Czars’ is a case of closing the barn door after the horse has left. Having these positions is an established and accepted principle.
Yes, new law can be made, and it might be necessary. And, my hope is that the new law acknowledges the difficulty in having an individual go through the confirmation process, and include some sort of time constraint that will require an up or down vote in a timely fashion. Maybe, the new law will also address ‘holds’.
Addressing the appointments of ‘Special Advisors to the President’ is an opportunity to re-visit the entire nomination-confirmation process.
Ahhh, I see the troll is back. Darn. As the commies in government are outed, you will see more desperate attempts to pass and regulate control over us. This will come to a head during the 2010 elections. We have to keep up the pressure on these traitors and continue to take them out. It’s a new “long war”.
Thanks for the link/heads-up, MM! I am proud to say that my rep, Hal Rogers (R), is one of the cosponsors – good for you, Congressman Rogers!
fluffy it’s even worse than gubmint motors and chrysler. who owns the biggest insurance co in the world (aig)? who owns the two biggest mortgage banks in the world (fannie and freddie)? who owns the biggest financial institution in the world (citi)? who owns a huge portion of the banks, thrifts, and other financial institutions through bailouts and fdic? in 8 months this administration has pulled off a coup that took hugo chavez 8 years to accomplish. now all he has to do is shut down the anti media (fox news, am radio, and the internet) and he has us all getting our propaganda from the non partisan msnbc, cnn, nbc, cbs, abc, nyt, wapo. this group of unbiased “reporters” had zero stories on van jones until after he resigned, leaving their customers wondering who and what van jones is and did.
Does lgm really believe he is going to be one of the elites, when this government finally nationalizes everything? Someday, when it’s too late, he’ll realize that he was nothing more than a “useful idiot”. Anyway, I’m still waiting on the food czar to be appointed. People have a “right” to food, right dear leader? Those evil food corporations need to be controlled. Perhaps, a “hungry” person or 2 can be thrust out front for the MSM to comfort.
O/T:
To all the “trolls” here who link or linked to their Facebook and personal Web pages, with aspirations to advance in their careers or committee appointments:
Let the Van Jones debacle serve as a reminder that the often egregious and outlandish charges you level on this site against conservatives and the previous administration can easily be googled by any future personnel dept mangers or membership screeners.
hey congressman akin, why aren’t you co sponsoring this bill?
I hope that exposing Bloom is not a priority one. The FCC Chairman, whos is at least as bad as Jones needs to be exposed for what he is.

And I am shocked to see that none of them are Democrats. Goodness, what has happened to bipartisanship?
Never was such a thing in the first place.
Democrats define “bipartisanship” as agreeing with them, while Republicans define it as including some Republican stuff in the things the Democrats want to do.

So what does Chauncey do? Let’s talk about Health Care that we can’t afford. Let’s talk about getting these kids educated for jobs that won’t exist.
He’s a visionary, President Chauncey is…
“They were strongly nationalist and militaristic — characteristics of conservatives of today.”
Ah lgm as usual gets the cart before the horse and attempts to make some statement of truth.
The Nazi Party was progressive/left/socialist. Their nationalism and militarism was an outgrowth of their belief system. You attempt to move backwards with you observations and tie the fruit of the Nazi Party’s belief system being similar to Conservatives in the U.S. who are strong on national security and military strength and draw some kind of equivalence.
That is as usual quite sophomoric of you.
I also have to tell you lgm I visited a web site this week to engage in a dialog with folks who are liberal. Like you in your presence here. On THIS site you are allowed, your posts left intact, and in doing so a dialog flows.
On the leftist site, Daily Kos, my posts were deleted soon after I posted them despite no content violating any rules in terms of words used, etc.
So the leftist site practices censorship the conservative site is open minded and tolerant.
It was quite revealing.
The cowardly, inept congress had better draw a line in the sand for this guy lest they become irrelevant and impotent.
LGM does have a point. One that is irrelevant to anyone with a brain, but nevertheless a better talking point than he usually has.
The Nazi’s were nationalists. That’s why all of the socialists from the “progressives” to communists regard the Nazi’s as rightwingers.
Real socialists like the communists and the so-called “progressives” (who always think “progress” is movement toward a socialist/communist state …. “progressives” are also known as “liberals” although the meaning there is just as twisted) are INTERNATIONALISTS.
They want to ‘convert’ the whole world to their freedom hating dogma. By the sword when necessary. Nazi’s just wanted to CONQUER everyone and subjugate them to the German State.
See? Big difference (sarc).
The fact the Nazi’s have socialism in their name and that they ran on an economic platform indistinguishable from the progressives and that fascism is clearly an economically socialist dogma is not a big problem for the leftist fanatics who control the media.
lgm, that is like having a video tape of me saying “I love lemon pie.” and then trying to convince everyone that I really don’t like lemon pie.
The Left is now asking us to ignore our own senses of sight or hearing as being unreliable. Since The Left assumes that our positions makes us insane, I guess what they are implying is not too much of a stretch.
Your silence on his 9/11 petition signing speaks volumes.
at 11:57 am, Flyoverman said:
He says that he signed the petition without reading it carefully (at all!). I’m sure some of us have done that.
I’ll offer a compromise: I’ll condemn the “truther” movement if you condemn the “birther” movement (those who don’t think Obama was born in Hawaii) and renounce the “death panel” cannard.
McCarthy was right. This country’s government has been infested with communists since the 30s. I’m surprised that only now have they taken control. Thought I would have been long dead before this day. Now it looks like my generation will be in the fight.
I’m sooory the Founders did not foresee this possibility. But then would could have imagined this kind of nightmare? “Democracy” and dirty money was our Achilles heel…. So much for democracy. What’s left of it will soon vanish to the cheers of the Marxists.

Oh wow… I’m glad you cleared that up, with your own opinion. While he may not be a member of the Party, he has certainly claimed to be one… or he’s a flat-out LIAR.
I feel so much better about someone LYING about being a communist to gain their support than someone who carries a membership card. After all, LIARS are so trustworthy… especially in offices of power!
LOL! No, I actually read before I sign! Just what we need… another liar who DOESN’T READ WHAT THEY SIGN. I’m sure glad he’s not like Congressmen (with the lowest approval rating ever), who DON’T READ WHAT THEY SIGN.
I mean, let’s go ahead and support someone who DOESN’T READ WHAT HE SIGNS… because he will be so careful with their actions!
Sorry, these issues are mutually exclusive.
1. I assume the President is innocent until proven guilty on his birth certificate. However, Obama promised us the most “transparent administration in history.” I find his unwillingness to unseal his birth information and his academic information as suspicious and certainly inconsistent with his pledge.
2. If the government does not allow me to pay for care for my loved one, it’s a death panel.
How about condemning what you believe is wrong and not only as a form of exchange for something else?
Who knew there would be a shop steward in the WH?
Typical of a liberal, Nancy-boy. You ask us to give up believing twice as many movements as you are willing to give up and consider it a “compromise.” Besides as a liberal, you would renege 15 minutes later anyway. No deal.
Instead, I’ll offer you this compromise. I will agree that Bush was wrong on Islam being a religion of peace, amnesty for illegals, No Child Left Behind, and the TARP bailout if you will agree that Obama is wrong on everything.
Folks, go read Article 2, Section 2, of the Constitution…
Boils down to, the Senate Vets every “officer”, every “consul”, every “minister”, UNLESS they write a law saying that the position does not have to be Vet’d by them.
Is there a Czar Law exempting them from oversite? What authority is the President using to appoint these positions?
The comment was not videotaped, it’s from this 2005 article:

Tell you what: I will condemn both the Swiftboat claims and the truther claims when both accused parties show me the original documents proving their cases (what is the big deal with the birth certificate and the legal fight not to show it by Obama anyway?). America long ago sent it’s manufacturing overseas to avoid these union morons. Harvard law grad Obama is yet to recognize that. Should have spent some time in their B-School.
Why does lgm feel the need to even defend Van Jones? He/she proves the point made about him/her every single day. No matter WHAT the issue, it’s clear is that anything tangentially related to the Democrat party MUST be defended at all costs–even at the cost of logical coherence and one’s own integrity.
“Nazi” does not mean, “mass murderer”. If that were the case, why not “Stalinist”? “Nazis” espoused a particular political ideology and what they did as they went about realizing that ideology is actually something different. As has been mentioned here several times before, Jonah Goldberg has provided excellent documentation of the similarity between today’s Liberalism and Nazi political ideology.
This is the game we play where the Left gets to decide what words mean and how they are used and I’m not playing it.
The big deal is the matter of his once-held dual citizenship, which is inconsistent with the Constitution’s requirement that a president be a natural born citizen, which, by the way, covers Obama regardless of whether he was born in Hawaii or Kenya.
Quite frankly, even if everything in Obama’s birth record is legit, it would be a major matter of interest to me why he would spend nearly a million US dollars not to have to show something that is both required to get most jobs and would only cost him about twenty bucks to furnish and shut us all up.
If he satisfactorily demonstrates that he is eligible, then I will concede. Not a minute sooner.

The Aristocracy of Pull at work (if you don’t get the reference, go read Atlas Shrugged).
Where was Congress when Obama appointed the first Czar? They should have immediately investigated how this unconstitutional position was being funded let alone allowing it to happen with 36 now in the ranks.
The Republicans have always been a day late late and a dollar short on these constitutional issues. In fact, they have stood by while our Government has been taken over by the Rockefeller CFR elite. What they are doing in DC is nothing short of treason.
The first thing they should have demanded is Barry Soetoro’s birth certificate!
Now we have a Kenyan running our Government like a Banana Republic.
I am aware that the president can ask advice from any source he chooses, including special appointed individuals designated as Czars. I have the following questions.
1. What is the function of these appointed Czars. are they in an advisory capacity only or can they independently dictate policy?
2. What is the role of our elected officials in congress with regards to these Czars?
3. Does congress have oversight into the function of these none elected Czars?
4. By what laws or dictates are corporations bound to follow the dictates of these Czars?
5. Who is footing the bill for these Czars, if they are federally funded, has the payment of salaries and wages been authorized by congress? If yes, does this would imply that congress has given its approval of these Czars?
6. What insight does the American public have into activities of these appointed Czars?
7. Do the American people through congress have input into the policies formulated and or implemented by these Czars?
8. Can the Csars be held libel for actions taken at their direction?
9. Are the Csars vet by the FBI?
Thank you:

We shouldn’t call these unvetted, presidential aides Czars. There was only a single Czar at a time and they were the ultimate ruler in Russia. Unlike these impassioned flunkies who take orders and execute them based on ideology.
I propose that we update the model to more closely reflect the reality of the situation and call these folks “Commissars“.
Do you see the word CZAR anywhere in our Constitution?
All of your questions have just been answered. Congress is committing Treason by allowing them to be appointed.

A director/head-honcho for the Truther organization gave an interview and said he called all the signers to verify their signatures, presumably Jones was among those called.
Hopefully, this Judge will allow discovery of his BC and School records so we can impeach Barry Soetoro for election fraud.
This is the first Judge that has taken his case seriously and said there are serious constitutional issues with Barry Soetoro’s citizenship.
I have no doubt that this Kenyan will eventually be found to be a total fraud.
