Unruly moment, manufactured outrage
GOP Rep. Joe Wilson apologized for his outburst last night when he called out one of President Obama’s many lies.
I’ve never seen Nancy Pelosi’s face show so much emotion in my adult lifetime.
The Left is in high dudgeon — never letting a moment of manufactured outrage go to waste.
Sure, members of Congress should leave the heckling to town hall protesters.
But it was Obama who said himself in the speech: “If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out.”
That’s what Joe Wilson was doing, wasn’t it?
And that’s what Democrats would undoubtedly tell you they were doing during George W. Bush’s 2005 State of the Union Speech when they booed and shouted down his remarks about the need for Social Security reform. Omri Ceren remembers:

I would love a list of what GOPers/DIMs chastised Joe and give them MY 2cents today.
Where was the outrage at all the lies Obama was telling? Scolding Congress, actually, but telling them and us things which he, an intelligent man, knows not to be true. So spare me the shock and amazement from the faithful followers when their Messiah is called out. Good grief, even the AP did a fact check and found his remarks, uh, disingenuous, shall we say? (As Rush would say, in Rio Linda that means he lied, truth died.)

Every now and then I have watched CSPAN’s British Parliament’s sessions; now there are stiff upper lip people that can let it fly during their leader’s addresses.
How about sending that video of the Congress-critters booing and shouting during W’s address to all the Dems (and RINOs) who are condemning Wilson.
Apparently there are two different sets of rules.
I came across an email factoid that makes one stop and pause. It’s about the Cash for Clunkers program but can you imagine what a government run health care system would look like?
They all lie. Obama’s speech was just the fluff he wanted the public to believe the plan is. He hasn’t read the bill and may never know what the bill contains, nor does he care what the bill contains as long as he can get more control of our lives.
I immediately sent a contribution to Joe Wilson last night.
Meanwhile, the TOTUS calls Sarah Palin a liar, but that’s okay. As predicted, John McCain was first in line to apologize on behalf of the GOP. What a weak candidate he was.

I wonder where the outrage was when Murtha arbitrarily accused our soldiers of mass murder before it even went to trial. Where was the outrage at the bald face lies of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Where was the outrage over the tax cheats like Rangel and the outright criminality of Jefferson. What hypocrites. At least Wilson spoke a truth and for this he’s condemned?

Why can’t we count on at least ONE republican in either house to show even the slightest indication of fortitude and take the LEAD?
The reason Wilson shouldn’t have made the outburst is because HE AND NO OTHER REPUBLICAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

That’s supposed to be used for things like declaring WAR not unconstitutional government ‘health care’ and other such liberal tripe.

In my opinion our country has been turned over to extreme radicals whose plans include the complete destruction of our great nation. What’s next? Inviting radical Islamists as well as other communist and socialist to open up propaganda shops on our soil? I would not put it past this administration. Our country is doomed if this administration is not defeated in the next presidential election.

Tempest in a teapot…POTUS brings the street talk to the Joint Session of Congress and calls prominent Republican a liar…he is going to get called out. In two weeks the numbers against the POS will be the same.

PLUS there are increased car tax receipts in Commiefornia, and higher insurance bills and finance costs. These activities help fund tax revenues too. Of course we get less gas tax at the same time.
So I think, in time, SOME amount will be net positive to government as a whole.
The real problem is that government commits a moral hazard when it interferes with the marketplace. This disruption has many unintended consequences and indubitably will cost the economy more than the benefit.

Why to people confuse the message with its method of delivery? Disagreement is not civil discourse. It can be done “civilly” but it still must state EXPLICITLY that what Obama said is not true and then lay out the truth. It must be done nevertheless.

Call them out on it. Rep. Wilson has apologized. Fine. It’s more than any of them have ever done.
What is even more telling is that Rep. Wilson’s “outburst” caused “The Great ‘One’” to stop dead in his tracks in his speech. And the way the media is spinning this, Obama was “heckled” by the GOP. Wonder what the MSM’s definition for “heckling” really is, because they missed a bunch in the Vieo of President Bush’s speech above….?

I wrote my comments as I read the transcript, and it must have been at least 11 pages just of comments on what he was saying, and I didn’t even comment on the part after he mentions Ted Kennedy.
Sadly, the conservative sheep — like Ed Morrisey over at HA and Jonah Goldberg — have joined the chorus of those who think Wilson was “rude” for daring to criticize Osama Obama.
It’s too late for that kind of namby-pamby so-called civility. Part of the reason we are on the outside looking in while the Chicago Jesus and his thugs are running hog-wild is a mistaken belief that we are dealing with rational humans, and that when they lie, attack and in general use cheap Alinsky tactics we should be “better.”
Better is meaningless. We need to get in their faces, and when they hit we need to hit back harder.

Why not write in the bill that illegals are excluded? If they are not specifically excluded, they will be included and Obama knows it. He IS a liar. Of course, we all know that since he told us he didn’t know about Rev Wright’s racist rhetoric after 20 years of listening to him.
