Eight years later: Listen
The 9/11 jihadi attacks were not a “tragedy.”
They were evil.
Never forget.

still hard to forget what occurred that day, how I sat totally stunned at what I was watching. we should never forget the attack and all the lives lost that fateful day. God bless this great nation and it’s citizens.
Thank you MM. It hurts to watch and listen to these but it is something we must remember.
America Attacked on 9/11/01
There are no words that are enough to describe how this makes me feel.
I pray for the families of these victims who relive this tragedy each year.
God help us.
That Kevin Cosgrove recording always shocks me.
We Will Never Forget, Remember When The New York Times Reported The News?
Absolutely correct.
I can add only that Pamela Geller’s piece at American Thinker today is worth a read:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/09/911_the_desecration.html
The longer the socialists are in power, and with all that they and their thugs are doing, the more I think that a case should be able to be made for impeaching the lot of them, for they endanger us more with each passing minute.
Just look at today’s companion piece here on American railroad security.
Vaguely.
I still have nightmares about that day, which may well be true of many of the contributors to this site. None of us, I am confident, could remain in the presence of a “truther” for more than a few seconds. So what does it say about a president who has no problems at all with (indeed, has nothing but positive feelings for) someone like Van Jones?
The tragedy is that it has only taken eight years to take this country back to pre 9/11 government.
And can someone explain to me why we still haven’t replaced those towers? My God, this is the greatest country in history. . .we went from watching sputnik to walking on the moon in ten years. We completely rebuilt the Pacific fleet in a manner of months and defeated the Japanese Imperial forces in less than 4 years, at the same time as we were saving Europe from the Nazis. Do you mean to tell me that the United States that did that, can’t rebuild two buildings in 8 years?
May God bless the families and souls of those lost on that day and the many brave Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen lost fighting this terrible enemy since then. And may he curse the incompetents that have taken over our government and placed us in danger of more death and destruction .
This is what every school child should have listened to and watched this week.
I am still amazed by our response to that day. It never seemed to reach the level of anger that it should have. Instead, it seemed everyone wanted to sing sad songs and light candles. There was certainly a time and necessity for that, but then the evil that caused it never seemed to be properly addressed. The war in Afghanistan turned into yet another nation building project and now is ignored by most Americans. The problems in Iraq added to that. Al-Queda and the Taliban still exist and that is the shame of it all.
Anger is not politically correct.
we have forgotten I am afraid, and will suffer more attacks in the future.
This makes me SCREAM.This is why I stayed in the reserves and did 1 long and 3 short deployments. You cant drag me away.It is very hard for me to listen to these just like I cannot listen to that so called man in the WH.Excuse me while I go take a blood pressure pill.
America has to come together again.
The people who died that day and the days following deserve that from us.
And Michelle, thank you.
After watching these clips it makes me mad that the liberals are going out of their way to aide and comfort the enemy by giving them American rights and appeals. What about those people whom we have heard. What comfort did they get? As far as I am concerned anyone who supports the enemy in any way is a traitor to this country and should be dealt with in a timely manner.
Bless you docflash…
Look whats on the plate of our current racist president. Is there and emphasis on 911 anywhere? With a name like Barrack Hussein Obama I didn’t think so….
It still just baffles me that people like LGM who live in NY, saw what happened with their own eyes, watch these videos and still have the apologist views that they have.
I am convinced nothing will sway them until a terroist slits their throat.
It is truly mind boggling.
I guess this is as good time as any to bring this up (and if the moderator doesn’t post this, I understand) but I do not understand why they are called ‘truthers’. I don’t want to use ‘doubters’ because that is too soft a word. I just don’t think ‘truther’ is the right name for them.
How about calling them deceivers, or a type of agents provocateurs, or simply domestic enemies?
I thought 9/11 was now about global warming.
Eight years ago today, the world changed for me in a way that will forever affect my life. We said, then that it would forever change the United States, but that was then and this is now and few remember with vivid clarity the horror of that day eight years ago. Few remember the anger. The people of the United States have gone through their seven steps of grieving and for the most part ‘moved on with their lives’. I’m still in the anger phase and probably will for life. I’m still angry that a bunch of islamofascists have pretty much gotten away with murdering 2,720 innocents.
Oh, sure 2 deployments in OEF I and V as well as deployments to OIF twice gave me hope that maybe, we’d put a dent in the people who want to exterminate us. Instead, here and now,
we’ve since gotten over our grief, our anger at these murdering scum and our desire to keep them from being able to do it again. We now seek rapprochement with them. Mr. Obama apologizes to them for whatever and every wrong real or imagined we committed to ‘deserve’ to be attacked.
I for one, fundamentally disagree. I feel that the only rapprochement I want with them is to see that they all find ‘peace’ or perhaps ‘piece’ through death. Not just the death of those who commit the acts but of their teachers, leaders and anyone who would indoctrinate someone to believe that it is ‘righteous’ to kill the innocent.
Today I’ll pray for the souls of those of those innocent lives lost on UAL Flights 175 and 93, American Airlines Flights 11 and 77 and for the 2,720 other people who lost their lives eight years ago. I will pray that we can prevent another attack through our military efforts across the globe. But, I grow increasingly doubtful that we will.
‘deceivers’ … getting closer. Good one.
Thank you for getting me mad again. I never want to forget how i felt that day. May all who called out to God that day be found in His presence.
ssnark, thank you for your service. You did put your anger to work for us and I thank you again.
My nerves over this are still raw. Besides anger back then, I felt a helplessness. I remember a guy at work seeing me in my state and asking me what was with me. I told him I was so angry that I wanted to do something (punch something) I wanted to fight. He gave me a snide look and said, “You want to join the Army?” If I had been eligible, I would have. Instead, I volunteer and pray for our country and the ones defending it.
What a day, what a day this is…
9/11 “truthers” should be called 9/11 Satanists.
My collie says:
More here.
Regarding truthers … I’ve got it.
They are denyors. I don’t think it’s a real word but that is what they are doing. They deny the truth.
Uncle Sam is impotent and needs a Cialis intravenous, stat!
So incredibly painful.
We were in Heathrow coming back from a two week tour in Scotland when the news hit. We were just starting to board the plane when they announced that there would be a delay. The delay turned into a long wait while we learned of the tragedy and that we would not be returning home for a while. We returned to our hotel and watched over and over the fall of the twin towers and tried to make sense of it all. Our lives changed that day.
Our heart goes out to those who suffered loss that day. I pray we never forget what evil looks like. It will happen again.
As we remember the loss of our fellow countrymen, please include Ronald Bucca in your prayers. He worked tirelessly to apprehend the murderers responsible for the 1993 attack in which he was injured, and was killed in the follow-up 2001 attack.
I am as pissed off now as I was that morning. Why there was no mushroom cloud over Mecca on September 12 remains a mystery to me.
I will always remember where I was when this fateful day happened, and changed the world, and the US of A forever. I was in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, Japan on my way to my first full day of being there, and was walking up to the church I’d work in for the coming year. On my way,. as I passed the pastor’s house, his leder daughter came out, and told me that the World Trade Center had been attacked. I thought to myself, “Some nut has blown up the Centers’ garages again,” as had been done in `93. When I got to the church and watched, re-watched, and re-watched agian the videos of the towers getting hit and then seeing them collapse on themselves, I got a really sick feeling in my stomach, the kind that comes when you see something so horrendously real, yet unbelievably surreal, but real all the same. Felt the same way when I saw the Challenger explode in `86, only this time, it wasn’t an accident, and it wasn’t because of ice on the wings: it was a deliberate attack on the US of A by people who know no depth of evil. I was very angry later, even moreso when I saw Palestinians cheering.
Now, we have a President of the US of A who has apologized to Islamic nations for something the US Military seems to have done (though the President never ddid say what, exactly), for schmoozing too closely with Israel, and for the situation in Iraq. Hearing the President apologize in such a way brought that sick feeling back, and nnow, every time I see President Obama, I am sick to my stomach. When he aapologizes, he again smears and stains the blood of those who died on this day. He smears and stains the blood of nnot only the thousands who’ve given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also the blood of the liveso f men who fell at Da-Nang, The Chosin Reservoir, Normandy, Belleau Wood, Gettysburg, Bunker Hill, New Orleans, Chihuaua, Pearl Harbor, and eveywhere eelse servicemen and women gave their llives for freedom, and all that is good, right, and holy in the US of A.
I, for one, will never forget 9/11/01. I will remember this day just as surely as I remember when the Challenger exploded, and other dates pertinent to US History. The reason is, those of us who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. President Obama has not learned from 9/11: unfortunately, tragically, it will be us, the people of the United States of America, who will be doomed to repeat 9/11, only the next time, as I have stated before, it will be a Nuclear 9/11…..and when that time happens, as surely as I believe and know it will, LORD help us all…
I got to be honest I always think of this song when I think about today:
Michael W. Smith’s – There She Stands
I still hate those cowardly thugs who committed these horrendous acts on our people with the same intensity as I did that day.
My heart aches for all those so senselessly killed, as well as all those who were maimed and burned, and the thousands of their remaining family members who lost a loved one.
I will concede one point to Obama – there are many children in middle eastern countries being raised to hate Jews most of all, then America, then the rest of the western democracies. Michelle, you’ve blogged about the jihadi tot schools. There is no easy answer for this problem, because today’s hating tots become tomorrow’s Al Quaeda, immigrant seditionists, and Sharia Law imposers in western societies.
Michelle, every time I hear that Kevin Cosgrove tape I SCREAM in anger.
Never forget. Never forgive. Never.
9/11 and the American patriotism and sense of vigilance that rose from the ashes – have become ‘inconvenient’ for Obama… so he means to make it ‘go away’.
– MD/Ron
I am sitting here watching THE HISTORY CHANNEL, and have a lump in my throat… To those who do not believe that there exists TRUE EVIL in this world tune in for the day… Oh, and don’t forget the news video of the PALESTINIANS dancing in the streets… PURE EVIL does exist, and thy name is RADICAL ISLAM!!!
I refuse to accept Obama’s call to volunteer service day today. This is 9-11, a day that will live in infamy! Never forget, never forgive, never.
Thank you, MuscleDaddy, for posting that excellent link!
I don’t know if you have heard this Youtube video before but I can never watch it without crying. It was written by a Christian when a non believer asked “where was your God that day”. I think it is a beautiful response:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyQyH4RoDbw
That last phone call makes me so mad at the people who did this. Anyone who says America is a bad country just listen to that. That man was innocent. He didn’t do anything to deserve that.
We really should hold Saudi Arabia accountable. They would hold us accountable. Instead we have a president who bows to their king and calls Americans the enemy.
What happened that day is disgusting. The fact that it happened in the name of a religion is critical. Saudi Arabia never apologized. Nobody has ever apologized for this.
We should be more imperialistic. This world should fear us.
Try to listen to Kevin Cosgrove’s 9-1-1 call while picturing Ward Churchill smiling smugly. Makes one want to break an ex-professor’s face.
The helpless rage that I feel when listening to the end of the Cosgrove recording should be shared by all Americans. Sadly, a large percentage of our left-leaning citizens have more compassion towards the terrorists and their families than for the American citizens who died on 9/11.
I will never forget.
