Five Democrats voted no — Begich, Lincoln, Nelson, Pryor, Webb.

Mine are still suffering from getting the crap kicked out of them at the townhalls last month. Maybe now they’ll stay on the short leash until their next election.

And one of my senators, Webb a socialist democrat voted no too. I’m really surprised at that. My other socialist/democrat senator Warner voted yes. No surprise there.

Because the only way a republican can get elected from Maine is to pretend to be one. A true republican conservative wouldnt get the time of day from Mainers. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. that’s how Romney got elected in Mass as a republican.

Roland, the other option for me in 2006 was voting for a Libertarian. Senator Lugar had no opposition from the Democrats. I didn’t know until the moment I was at the voting booth that Senator Lugar had any opponents.

Before you give Sanders (or Begich, or Gregg, or Ben Nelson) too much credit, they voted for cloture. Had all four of them voted against cloture, the best Sunstein could have hoped for was a recess appointment.

Snowe and Collins should have switched when Spector did.

If one mole is good, then two is better. Unfortunately, there is no law against political espionage. There’s just the voter.

- Begich (D), Gregg (R), Ben Nelson (D), and Sanders (Socialist), who voted for cloture but cut-and-ran from their support at the last possible second.

Combining the cloture vote on the 9th and the confirmation vote on the 10th, I honestly don’t know who is the most-craven:

- Bennett, Collins, Hatch, Lugar, Snowe, and Voinovich, the 6 RINOs who voted to confirm the whacko (and who also voted for cloture)

- Begich (D), Gregg (R), Ben Nelson (D),

I do know who are the two most-craven Senators not named Harry Reid – Barbara Boxer and Robert Byrd, who voted for cloture but didn’t show up for the confirmation vote.
