Yes, the picture is real, nutroots

I was offline for most of the afternoon and early evening — and just learned that the nutroots are claiming that the screenshot of the 9/12 march in D.C. that I posted — taken from a livecam of the event that I linked to here — is somehow “fake.”
The claim is that the shot came from the Kennedy procession or a previous left-wing protest and that the flag at half-mast proves that it was “fake.”
Newsflash for the clueless: Flags were still at half-mast earlier today in honor of the murder victims of the 9/11 jihadi attacks.
Guess the 9/11-was-an-inside jobbers are still that much in denial.
Unbelievable.
Yes, this is real:

Let’s go back to the screenshot:

Reader Rosemary e-mailed a link to USAToday’s National Mall/crowd estimate schematic, which it published in January to show how the Park Service estimated inaugural crowd attendance. It’s a helpful guide:

My #805254 S/B – regarding, not regaring.
That’s a relief. Your pre-corrected comment made no sense to me at all.
Given the hardcore elitist holier-than-thou mentality of these Marxist jerks,I honestly believe they would still hold to these statements even if 99.99% of the population held an uprising and stormed the gates carrying torches and pitchforks with guillotines waiting in the distance.
Yes.
That is what scum such as Axelrod do-attack, call names, go for the personal-all hoping we will get hurt and shy away. We see it on this blog most everyday. They dream of the day their Security Services can really quiet us.
So we tell the Axelrods, Emmanuels and such: Bring it on punk-We have not yet started to fight (I think that was Robert Stack). These sharks smell blood-they think and hope this is the time they finally get all the power they crave.
Ain’t gonna happen–they can dish it out but can they take it? It is up to us to find out. And when our friends tell us to lower our voice and be civil:
Been there
Tried that
Didn’t work
OUR TURN
I actually read a comment by some libtard elsewhere today. The thread was about the low turnout at the 9/13 pro-Obamacare rally today. The clown commented that the turnout at the “virtual march”, whatever that was, was substantial. A virtual march? LOL!
I’m sick and tired of it too – and I’m not going to apologize for what I consider to be righteous anger at what they’re doing to this country.
It must be nice to be omniscient like Axelrod, to be able to state with such surety that all of us are wrong. /sarc.
What on earth (or any other planet) is a “virtual march”?
For Axelrod and Obama to continue their path of brazen lying is serving only to cement our gains. Who do they think they are fooling? Does anyone not know at least one person who went to the rally in DC yesterday? You can’t fight this kind of broad-based grassroots networking with centralized propaganda. They are only speaking to the record, not to the ears and hearts of American voters.
And I don’t believe for one second that they don’t know it. They just don’t know what else to do that their sponsors would accept. Where they were once just slick professional liars, having been taken by surprise, they have now become brazen amateurish liars. Flat-footed, they stick to their story.
And it’s not just the Dems. Both parties are in panic mode right now. Believe it. We are winning.
Could the odds of having a those
swineMexican flu riots have doubled this week-end? Something about military exercises for flu riots just reeks of fascism to me. Sick people rioting? Really?xler8bmw:
I don’t doubt that they were overwhelmed. 500,000 people would certainly overwhelm a police force that was expecting 50,000. And until someone shows a link to a report of the capital police saying 2 million then it is clear that the 2 million number is simply a wishful fantasy.
And as another poster pointed out you cant use the picture Michelle used to compare the crowd numbers from the mall and Penn. Ave. Pennsylvania Ave is much narrower than the mall. I lived in that are of DC for 4 years and the width of the areas is different.
The day was a huge success, but throwing around absurd numbers like 2 million based on the “secret sources” of an anonymous poster is absurd.
Yeah … ME of all people saying I voted for McCain when I was so vocally anti-McCain!

I was there…and in the March up Penn Ave, I was probably in the first 5000 people, and when we got to the Mall, it was already packed.. all these people in this pic added to an already full Mall area.
Couldn’t go, was at army training all weekend.
Has LGM made his comment about how few there were at the protests yet?
Hey–where is lgm & his calculations for the crowd size?
Low battery– discharged fuel cell? (Keeping it GREEN!)I thought maybe someone set fire to his wooden bicycle.
Where’s neocon527 with his expansive list of how the media covered ALL the team parties across America? I attended the Tea Party in Castle Rock, CO, and we stood out there for almost 3 hours in the freezing rain. There were almost 1,000 people there. No press was there from any paper.

I don’t care if it’s the entire nation on the mall protesting, and just me on the inside. What you think means nothing to me.
I WAS THERE, 1.5 MILLION, MINIMUM.
