Kanye West is a jerk, redux

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 13, 2009 10:59 PM

Kanye West — you know, the moron who suffered a Bush Derangement Syndrome attack in the middle of a Hurricane Katrina national telethon — made a fool of himself again tonight.

Aggrieved that country singer Taylor Swift beat out pop diva Beyonce for an MTV Video Music Award, he pounced on stage, ripped the microphone out of Swift’s hands and had a hissy fit on Beyonce’s behalf.

I’m sure he considers himself on par with Rosa Parks now:

***

Rolling Stone reports that Swift was in tears backstage, Kanye West was kicked out of the awards ceremony, and MTV house-band MC “Wale” defended West by saying “you can’t fault a man for speaking his mind.”

Kanye is no “man” and he is out of his mind.

***

Update…

Beyonce shows Kanye what class looks like:

A short history of Kanye jerkitute from Allahpundit here.

Plus: Imagining the prelude to an Obama/Kanye/Swift beer summit…egad.

I stopped watching shows like this years ago because of this kind of crap. Everyone complains about this kind of thing and political speeches by retards at the academy awards and then they just keep watching. People are insulted by ABC,CBS,NBC etc and continue to watch their “Favorite Show”. They hate Alec Baldwin for what he says and then they go out a buy his latest movie. If it had not been for this blog and the Drudge report I would not have known this happened. Stop watching and stop writing about this garbage! Dont show your approval of this behavior by being in the audience.

I don’t even compare it to Serena’s tantrum, because that’s tennis. Tennis has long been filled with tantrums and four letter rants. It isn’t right, but in the heat of competition sometimes people lose it.

Thank you. John McEnroe ALWAYS used to swear at judges and even hit serves directed at linesmen. Jimmy Connors gave the finger to a line judge and pretended to pleasure himself (using his racket as a mock phallus) when he didn’t like a call. And Andy Roddick — known for losing it on the court all the time — once screamed at a line judge that he was “idiot.” (He’s also said plenty worse.) To reduce Serena Williams’ bad behavior to an issue of race is typical and expected of this site, and also ridiculous.

For the record, Kanye West has done this to many people. He’s a HUGE a-hole with a massive ego who, a few years ago, even appeared in an SNL skit making fun of himself:

I’m just saying, stop trying to politicize this or make it into some statement about race relations. This is about a guy who has proven himself to be a d*uchebag over and over just re-proving it for the millionth time.

Blame Viacom. I’m betting YouTube would love the traffic.

nyk, I totally agree. And, not to defend on-court tantrums, but from what I saw on the video, Serena seemed classy enough to shake Clijster’s hand before she left. Yeah, so no comparison, IMHO.
