I just came across this at Hot Air and it was so good and cracked me up to such an extent thought it needs to be shared with others. Yes its related to ACORN

It was made by commentor "CPT. Charles", yesterday.

"The politically deadly ‘racist club’ has been transformed into a tattered Nerf bat."

What's interesting is that the filmmakers are being investigated over charges that pale in comparison to the ones that came about as a result of their own investigation.

If ACORN thinks they can be saved by this statute, they have a huge problem in that (1)law enforcement routinely gets a pass on the same thing (O'Keefe basically did what could and should have already been done by law enforcement), and (2)O'Keefe is more than happy to go to jail should a judge find him guilty ... which happens to be the whole point of civil disobedience. You accept the punishment for what you did right that happened to be illegal. It worked for Rosa Parks, and it will work for O'Keefe. Look for O'Keefe to benefit BIG in the long run, despite whatever may befall in any lawsuit.

In either case, ACORN is screwed, and if Mr. Obama winds up somehow being implicated (which I am not saying will or will not happen), so is he.

you know as much about the law as you do about Barbera d’Asti

I know it's Angelina Jolie's second favorite bubble bath!

May I quote from "Vino e Cinema"? (Google translation): Appetites and foibles of Hollywood stars are particularly triggered and varied.
La Repubblica and La Stampa reported that the new trend is to bathe in Italian red wine. Angelina Jolie in fact seems convinced of the virtues of the grape, cosmetic, preferring for this strange activity exclusive Montesodi, with some digression to the Barbera d'Asti."

I think you miss my point. All I am saying is that ACORN is in control of what cause of action they would bring and I have heard nothing to indicate they are considering a slander COE. And if it is slander, there is a difference between accusing the filmmakers of calling the entire organization corrupt and accusing them of manipulating the film footage.

OK, NOW I understand where you are coming from. Thanks.

I heard this story on the radio this afternoon while driving on the Northern State Parkway in Nassau County, NY. I saw a bumper sticker on a Ford Crown Vic that said “Pete King for Congress”. I looked at the license plate and it said “US Congress”. I passed the car slowly (traffic jam) and it was Pete King himself. This was at about 5:15 PM EDT. I guess Mr. King was not in DC for the ACORN vote. Absentee ballot? Who knows the rules? Anyone out there?

DUH!!! Shuttle flight from DC....what was I thinking?

Quiet, everyone! Chappy is having delusions of Perry Mason again...

If you want my assistance on legal matters I'll need a retainer. And several references.

No, on second thought, keep your money and your references to yourself. You are just not worth it. Unlike of your friends I am not willing to do certain things for money.

Interestingly enough, San Fran Nan didn't vote to defund ACORN but she did vote to rebuke Joe Wilson.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said last week that the House should "talk about health care, not Mr. Wilson." But she still supported members of her party who insisted on a formal rebuke and cast a rare vote Tuesday, in favor of the resolution. The House speaker usually does not vote.

Of course the idiot Chappy chooses to ignore the fact that I have never weighed in with an opinion on whether the filmmaker did or did not break the Maryland law on recording conversations.

So if you don't have any opinion of whether or not they are ACTUALLY guilty (which, let's face it you don't, because you know as much about the law as you do about Barbera d'Asti) why would you say a MD DA would be an "idiot" for prosecuting it?

Chappy just loves to ignore facts and tries to project an image of Atticus Finch or Perry Mason he is more like Holden Caulfield without the sympathetic character traits.

Wow. Someone knows how to google "big important sounding literary references"! Good job! Maybe someday, after you work your way through "Everybody Poops" you'll get around to actually reading them! Now go google Maryland's law on conspiracy and tell me why ACORN is guilty of it. You know...like you claimed before I stepped in and schooled you (yet again)? Remember when you said Maryland's law was very different, yet refused to say how, or give a citation?

In the end, he is a poor ambulance chasing lefty lawyer who leeches good wine off his rich friends.

I will admit, having people that will hang out and talk to you without having to give them a credit card number does have its advantages.
