I feel bad. I did not know of this man. Until Bush started pissing away my tax money on bailouts and Obama put his socialist spending spree on steroids, I was not political… but I am making up for it now.

While I don’t like or trust Lieberman, I do like this statement of tribute from him regarding Kristol (found on the NRO site):

“We have lost an intellectual giant. Irving Kristol was an inventive entrepreneur of ideas who was boundless in his wit, creativity, and insight. Irving understood that ideas have consequences – and his immense influence was the result of his unique ability to shape the American political landscape with the power of creative thought. Irving was a genuine patriot who eloquently and forcefully defended America’s values and principles. He leaves us with a great intellectual legacy that will continue to enrich our political dialogue for many years to come. Hadassah’s and my condolences and prayers are with Irving’s wife, Gertrude, his children Bill and Elizabeth, and the entire Kristol family.”

    Prayers to his family.
Best wishes for warmth and togetherness in the New Year.

    His book, “Neoconservatism”,
(worth a glance for its delightful wit and insight alone…)
is on my shelf…I’ll revisit it this weekend.

I’m sure he was proud to know his son has followed in his rather large foot-prints. God-speed.

    May his Soul
And the Souls of all the faithful departed
    Through the Mercy of God
    Rest in peace.
    Amen.
