The National Endowment for Obama

So, now the White House has issued “new guidelines” in the wake of the “inappropriate” political lobbying call coordinated by the National Endowment for the Arts and exposed by Patrick Courrielche .

Translation: Instead of delivering “specific asks” to potential government grant recipients, they’ll stick to non-specific asks on behalf of Hope and Change.

As far as these new “guidelines”… all that means is “do the same thing people…. just don’t come out and say it in public.”

And no one in the Justice Dept or any other federal agency is willing to go after him on these actions. This President is as slimy as any grease-ball to ever come out of Chicago. He needs to be perp-walked out of the White House in irons.

That man is a racist and was vocal about his hatred of people of my race during EVERY SIGNIFICANT ADVANCE of race relations. Only AFTER the tide turned against him did he “recant” and that’s just what I’ve been told. Never read his huge book on how he changed his views and apologized to all of us black folks for his complicit hand in the murder, oppression and hatred toward us. Oh wait, he didn’t write one. And lest we forget, he has voted against nearly every major black nominee for high office, including Thurgood Marshall (and, of course Clarence Thomas and Janice Rogers Brown), so please spare us the lectures about Jesse Helms.

Excuse me, RSS. But once a klansman, always a klansman. It’s like being a “former” alcoholic. You’re still an alcoholic, you’re just not drinking at this particular point in time. A “former” klansman just isn’t burning crosses at this particular point in time.

AA members refer to themselves as alcoholics, because they know they can slip at anytime. It takes a certain amount of will power to remain sober.

As for “Sheets” Byrd, he may have renounced the KKK, may not have a membership card or paid any dues, but he’s still a klansman. In an interview in 2001, he used the “N” word more than once. What did Jesse Jackson (and the other self-righteous race-baiters) do? Why nothing! They should have demanded he resign. But, since he was a democrat, it was glossed over and no one (except the intelligent people) cared.

Oh well. You can have “Sheets” Byrd in your party. Since the democrats have always been, and always will be, the party of slavery, anti-civil rights, and segragation.

Art has the office of leading in culture. Not in politics, though. That’s for the graphics folks.

The Obama administration couldn’t insult fine artists more, IMO. He is using the NEA for his own reasons, and the focus is supposed to be art! Typically, everything is about him.

FDR used the WPA to employ artists, too. Complaints were made regarding the political nature of some projects. Unfortunately, the precedent was set…

I’ll add that Laura Bush did a great job with NEA and White House arts support. I followed the link above about Masters, and it didn’t uncover crappy art. Very much the opposite.

Our primary responsibility is to unite and mobilize society behind the transformation agenda

A Unified, Equitable and Integrated National Health System that benefits all South Africans

    In defence of Affirmative Action

Improving education is a task for everyone

Maybe you should go back to the late 80′s after Mandela was released and take a look at the violence that ensued.

I don’t know exactly what Helms’ motive was. If it was simply because Mandela was black, then Helms is (was) a racist jack-ass.

My point is not Helms motive but the issue of boycotting Mandela. Because based on what I know about his past, he was not always a bastion of piece and racial unity. And while I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a terrorist, he and his associates took part in acts that, at the very least, bordered on it.

Yes, S.African blacks had cause to rise up, but they became (even in the late 80′s) as bad as their oppressors. And what followed… to this day… is continued chaos.
